I just purchased zc01 in an online shop with uncertain guarantee. Unfortunatelly after trying to mod the system (installing xposed) with root permit, I made my new zc01 bootloop (TT). Successfully installed your firmware by spft, but it is still bootlooping. Is there anything I miss? Your backup isnt included user data and cache, do they influence?
Sorry for my bad english, thank you

Oh dear, after years of flashing different roms on different devices I seem to have finally screwed up on this one. My mistake was to flash your pre-rooted 5.1.1 stock rom for SGP321 on my SGP311 - the result not surprisingly was a bootloop. I managed to flash the original stock rom - root it using DoomLord's method and install TWRP recovery. However, when I restore the recovery-made backup of the device's state previous to flashing (pre-rooted 5.0.2. stock rom), apparently successfully, I get a boot loop. I've been through this process of downgrading, rooting, installing recovery numerous times in order to install the correct SGP311 5.1.1 pre-rooted rom, the prerooted 5.0.2 rom which was working before, different versions of TWRP recovery including abZ-lockeddualrecovery2.8.21_5.1.1-FIX, abZ-lockeddualrecovery2.8.21, and abZ-lockeddualrecovery2.8.20, all to no avail. I've also tried complete system wipes in order to remove all traces of the SGP 321 rom but nothing seems to work. I have been able to recover a back-up of a rooted Kitkat stock rom from before installing 5.0.2. There seems to be a problem with Lollipop and the TWRP recovery (and yes I've tried the fixed versions). Any ideas? Should I be using Philz recovery to install the zip instead of TWRP? That's the only thing I haven't tried.

Flash stock 5.0.2 ROM with flashtool, root it with kingroot, install recovery 2.8.21 official. Enter TWRP and restore your 5.0.2 backup. Restoring LP backups on earlier firmwares (like 4.4.4 or even 4.3) have some issues and may lead to bootloop.
hi
i`ve tabZ with root running 4.3. to update to 5.1.1 can i directly flash this or i have to follow a special procedure?
thanks and regards

Many thanks Rootk1t - I followed your instructions and although I had some problems with kingroot (PC version didn't work) I was able to restore my 5.0.2 backup. I then flashed the pre-rooted McBane87's 5.1.1 ROM and this time there were no boot loop problems (it helps if you flash the right ROM, of course). All an interesting learning experience - sometimes you can't make an omelette without breaking some eggs.

If you have a recovery like TWRP or CWM installed, then yes you can directly flash, because it will wipe your hole System-Partition anyway. The other thing is your Data-Partion. You can try to leave it like it is and hope lollipop can deal with it. But keep in mind that this can cause error and also bootloops, which would not appear if you install the ROM in a clean way.
So the "Clean_Way" is:
1. Flash Zip via CWM or TWRP
2. Wipe cache and dalvik cache
3. wipe data
If you want try unclean, then skip step 3.

By my experience upgrading to LP without /data/ wipes go without issues mainly (official pc-companion rewrites only /system/ during upgrade, and doesn't touch /data/ so nothing should break here).
But downgrading from LP to KK with /data/ from LP will give some troubles.

will during the process all my data in my microsd vards be deleted?

Yes, you can upgrade from 4.3. I recommend flashing through TWRP recovery. Place PreRooted_SGP311_10.7.A.0.222_VMo_DE.zip to external microSD, enter recovery, do Wipe cache/dalvik cache/System and install it.
If you don't wipe it manually or by mistake your data on microSD will be untouched. But making backup of everything you need before, is a good thing either
thanks for your reply, how do you find the tablet Z with Lollipo 5.1.1 happy with it?

Yep, i upgraded. It's nice in performance. I had the latest version of recovery (i was upgrading from 5.0.2). But you try with your existing version or you can update it via flashable.zip
Thx McBane87,,

Hello Everyone
This is A Guide how to restore the TWRP BACKUP OF ANDROID 6.0 Marshallow for Idol 3 5.5
They are TWO Backups of MM 6045i update
1.Here's Marionette Backup (System Img,Boot img,Data)
2.Here's Masterdex Backup(System Img,Boot img)
1. First of all you must install TWRP on your Idol 3 5.5", Link for TWRP
2.Download and unpack archive in a separate folder
3.Boot in TWRP and make backup of your current firmware
4.. Make Wipe through TWRP menu
5.After you make your backup on external microSD or USB-OTG
TWRP -> Backups -> xxxxyyyy,
(xxxxyyyy is a "number", It's unique for each device.)
6.Copy this folder 2016-06-17--13-51-57_MMB29M_release-keys from archive to xxxxyyyy folder on microSD or USB-OTG and choose Restore in TWRP.
After finished Restoring you need new partitions to work System (if you don't flash the system will not boot )..so they are two zips flash it !
Here's ZIP by me
It takes 15-20 minutes to Boot
Thats all,Enjoy
Credits:
Thanks to @Famewolf @The Marionette and @masterdex for TWRP BACKUP
Thanks Alex, now we have fully functional android 6.0.1 on our devices.
WIFI and BT works, android 6.0.1 is very fast, almost no lag os.
Well, So @Alek Dev I have a question
If we flash the new partition zip to make the system boot, we won't be able to restore any 5.0.2 backup, since the partitions layout will have changed?
Why do we flash this zip after having restored? I seems illogical to me. Since the system will have been restored, don't the zip risk to cause the system being erased? I just need explanation for that

Yes, I have understood that well. I was just wondering that if the partition layout has changed, which seems to be the case, I don't understand how we can go back to 5.0.2, wich doesn't use the same partitions. And as far as I know, the partitions layout are not backed up when backing up.
And be reassured, I DO believe you when you say it works it's just the point above I am wondering about. If could explain to me...

Twrp works so if you have Twrp backup you can restore or Mobile upgrade q or Panasonic Firmware Tool can restore you back....if you restore Twrp backup .of 5.0.2 the system will work good with newer partitions... So you will can't have any problems ??

Hi to all,
had root this device on 6.0.1 with TWRP. Now I needed a full reset due to a Bluetooth problem to check if its root/software related. BUT on my mistake I erased EVERYTHING through TWRP (Dalvik/ART Cahe,System,Data,Internal Storage,Cache, Micro SD, Android Secure, USB-OTG)
Tried to install custom rom Aospextended but I don't know the how to and I am lost in forums.. the phone doesn't boot... after zip file installation the screen fades to somewhat yellowish like LCD problem... I can still access TWRP..
p.s. I am an iPhone guy and just tried to fix this for my son... hope for your understanding for probably asking something very common..!
ANY HELP WOULD BE greatly appreciated even to get back to stock rom
Many thanks in advance!

You must go to section Samsung j5 2015 you will find all you need, since restoring to stock, rooting, installing the correct TWRP for your device....and more.
You NEED to READ because too much information for one post, but this is the correct place for you.
Pay attention the correct files TWRP for 601 because there are TWRP for lollipop devices, and when choosing ROMs you MUST downgrade your firmware to Lollipop, that's the reason for artifacts and greenish screen because of incompatibility of TWRP and there are ROMs that you can install with twrp601, others need booltloader and twrp lollipop. Hope you are nota blind anymore

I had the same problem when flashing Lineage 14.1 on my phone (J500M), screen fadding with a green-yellowish color and no boot. That happened because I was trying to flash the custon Rom with the wrong base. I was using 6.0 before flashing and Lineage requires you start from 5.1.
All I need to do was search for my device on sammobile.com , get the right stock firmware and use Odin to flash the rom on my device. From there I was able to flash TWRP again and install Lineage correctly.

You have two solutions, you can restore your phone STOCK ROM with Samsung Smart Switch or downgrade to Lollypop firmware and install any custom rom trough TWRP.
Restore to STOCK:
Use Samsung Smart Switch, see howto here
Downgrade to Lollipop:
Install only Bootloader/Modem [6.0.1/5.1.1]BOOTLOADER AND MODEM FOR J500xx [Downgrade more easy] (Collection)
Downgrade to Lollypop (full ROM) (Tutorial) Upgrade J5 (2015) to 6.0 and Downgrade to 5.1.1 + Rooting

<how-to unbrick>(TRY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK)
this method is useful for was-lx2j,and "can boot stock rom" but "Almost apps not found".
1 )back to your stock recovery using
Code:
fastboot flash recovery RECOVERY.ing
2 )In huawei firmware finder, open the proxy server
3 )follow the proxy server's instraction
(POINT:USE THE LINK TO YOUR LAST STOCK FIRMWARE'S FULLOTA CHANGELOG)
exemple:my stock firmware's version before flashing custom rom and bricking is WAS-LX2JC635B175,so I choose it
Code:
Instructions.
1. Enter a link to the changelog of firmware in the "Firmware for install" field and click "Set".
2. Click the button "Register for update". Registration takes place by IP address.
3. After registration, you need to change your DNS address to 81.177.139.39. Dont forget save your original dns settings for restore it later. (You can change it in network settings, router settings or setup like proxy without port in hisuite).
4. Go to Huawei Updater in phone or go to HiSuite and press check update. After that you should get update.
5. After install dont forget to reset the dns settings to the original state.
4 )reboot your p10lite to huawei erecovery (or boot system)
5 )press "download ~"and update your system(or do a system update)
6 )go to stock recovery and do a factory reset
7 )DONE! reboot to system and phone will successfully booting!!!!!!
any questions, reply to this therd or PM me
<oliginal OP:↓>
edit:MY PHONE WAS FULLY UNBRICKED!!!
THX FOR ALL ADVICE!!!
my p10 lite (WAS-LX2J) was bricked...
1)I flashed a lineage unofficial build.
2)I flashed vendor as dd command from twrp shell.
3)I tested the rom
4)I wanted to back to stock rom,so I flashed system.img,cust.img,boot.img from stock firmware using huawei update extractor and fastboot.
5)I wanted to flash vendor but fastboot says command not allowed.
6)reboot to twrp and flash stock vendor as dd,but it fails(partition broken)
now,my p10 lite bricked...
Anyone has solution or twrp backup(system, cust, vendor, boot)???
any answer is welcome....
sorry for my bad english
Can you still get into TWRP? If you go into wipe, advanced, if you select something there you have the option to fix or repair that file system. I would be guessing if I knew what you needed to select though. Any risk is down to you.
Maybe that will fix your error? I have to sometimes do this to the 'data' file system to be able to boot lineageOS.
If you do manage to restore stock filmware successfully please share your steps on the p10 lite forum.

Find out from the OP on this thread if there is a Service firmware for your device. Hopefully you'll be able to fix your device with a service firmware.
