Hello, i have ZE550KL and i need to unlock my devices bootloader.
I know how to unlock bootloader in my phone but in the Zenfone 2 Laser if you are in Marshmallow it says "Unlock Device App stopped".
There isnt problem in Lollipop, if you use "Unlock Device App" it succesfully unlocks bootloader.
But i want to unlock bootloader in Marshmallow, but how?
Thanks. Greetings from Turkey.

Just download the pre rooted Version matching your SKU from here and flash it, you are done.

I dont need root. I need flashing a TWRP and a rom. Why i flash Prerooted?
Unlock app current supporting LP version, and wait for new Unlock app for MM version. If you cant wait for it, just downgrade to LP and unlock bootloader. Once unlocked means, your device bootloader cannot lock back. Now if you want to go back to MM, then just upgrade it. In MM your bootloader will be unlocked only. If you want to see how i did this, visit my youtube channel here

I downgraded and unlocked my bootloader week ago thanks.

If it can... please explain to me.... im trying to roll back to lolipop 1524... ... inside the stock official fw... i cant find any recovery.img.... theres only boot.img....
Are they the same thing? Boot.img and recovery.img??
Can i just flashing boot.img of fw 1524 then flash 1524 fw via sdcard.

I have a ZE601KL Z011D zenfone as well, but I am stuck with build number LRX22G.CN_user_1.13.40.661_20151103
Android version: 5.0.2, and there is no Update button in the Settings page of my phone. Is there a way I could upgrade my phone manually?
Thank you,
George

Hello! I happened to something similar, I followed the steps to rootear the one that appears in this same forum, and then install the stock version, everything works ok.
I also unlocked the boot loader with official tools.
Waiting for custom recovery.
Just updated my x50f to 6.0.1.
Now I can't unlock bootloader with ADB and kingroot also don't work.
Who can help me to unlock and root?
Thanks guys
