Australian S8 G950F firmware G950FXXU1AQG7
This firmware is an OTA from July. I want to gain root access so followed the majority of advice from within the forums. So first step install twrp.
I attempted to install twrp 3.1.1-1 that is used for firmware AQF7
Then i tried twrp 3.1.1-2 being used for firmware AQG5
Both of these attempts failed and gratful i did not do any harm to the device i have stopped their and now seek advice about methods and tools known to work on this particular firmware. Please any help truly appreciated and thankyou in advance for your time and knowledge

I have searched all over the web and this site for a tutorial or how to on rooting my S5 with the stock Marshmallow update. Most of the how to's are all outdated and I don't want to run into crashing my phone again by using anything outdated. I tried installing TWRP recovery or flashing it with ODIN and it didn't work. I had lollipop rooted before so I know I'm capable if I'm linked to the right tools. The way I did the Lollipop root was with TWRP and SuperSU but as I said before I couldn't get the recovery installed properly. It said pass in Odin but I got a bootloop and unstable phone so I prefer if someone knows the right tools and how to please clue me in.
Hey guys. I am using SM-G935FD indian version (INS). Yesterday i downloaded latest firmware (that samsung cloud) from sammobile.com. I tried updating the firmware with flashfire. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/how-to/guide-easy-to-update-rooted-phone-t3342896) I pressed flash firmware package and kept "recovery" (because i wanted to keep twrp) unticked. But after that phone goes into bootloop. Only recovery was accessible. Phone was not booting up.
But thank god all my data was saved.
Then i odin flash the firmware with only AP ticked and damn my root was lost. My data was still reserved. Only was root was lost.
1. so is there any way to retain root while updating firmware with flashfire or odin
And
2.is it necessary to wipe internal data while rooting the device (as flashing twrp with odin and then booting into twrp for first time requires formatting internal storage). I know it is necessary otherwise phobe wont boots up but I DONT WANT TO LOOSE MY DATA. SO JUST PLZ TELL ME THE WAY TO ROOT AGAIN WITHOUT WIPING DATA.
Sorry if this question has been asked before. And i know we should not post any repeated question. But trust me i read all threads before posting here.but i cant find any solution for it.
Thanking you for your kind cooperation and support.

Plz help guys
I want to downgrade my phone from android 7.0 to 6.01. The performance of the new OS is so bad that the phone is almost unusable!
Odin will not let me downgrade because the bootloader/modem etc is an older version.
I installed TWRP with the instructions from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/samsung-a-series/general/twrp-3-0-0-galaxy-a3-2016-sm-a310-t3316176
However when I try to install the 6.0.1 rom I downloaded from sammobile I get an "no md5 file found" error from twrp.
I thought that twrp is so versatile that it allows any rom to be installed.
Any ideas? Am I doing something wrong?
If you downloaded a ROM from sammobile or samfirmware they can only be flashed via Odin.
Hey I found source from a thread.
(unable to link ask via message)
and I been looking to Bypass FRP protection from my galaxy s8, because I forgot the email it had, I tried everything,
So I downloaded the latest version of odin.
My Recovery version is 8.0.0
G950USQS3CRE2
so I downloaded the correct firmware and the Combination file
G950USQS3CRE2_G950UOYN3CRE2_BST
witch I think is compatible with my boot version.
So I'm not sure if its the compatible the combination file and Odin doesn't recognize the device on Android recovery mode.
Help will be very much appreciated.
I have a SM-930U Android version 7.0, whenever I follow the instructions for installing TWRP, Odin reports RT_CLOSE !! and then fails to flash TWRP.
I have tried several different sites with no luck.
Any help is appreciated.
