ZTE Grand X 4 Z956 root (from Cricket Wireless)

Well, this is my first time posting on XDA. I have a ZTE Grand X 4 Z956 running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with the January 1, 2017 security patch. The forums said I had an Axon 7, and there are no forums on my device, so I might as well post here. I cannot achieve root on this thing with Kingroot, Kingoroot, iRoot, or Towelroot. I even tried the dirty cow exploit before it updated and that did not work when it had an earlier security patch. Please help!

You won't get help here, even some axon 7 mini guys came and were utterly ignored
Try Google or whatever

Ok sorry I posted here.
Wow talk about community
The thing is, it's a different device. It's not much point asking because who knows, advice could cause a brick. The Axon 7 mini is a different device too. It has a different SoC.
Obviously the basics will still apply so bootloader unlocked is a must.

No root for H910?

I tried to root my H910 with the Dirtysanta method, but it seems like the latest security patches have removed the ability to root the AT&T variant of the LG V20. Are there any other root options for the H910?
Edit: Looks like anyone with a security patch after December 2016 is completely out of luck until the LG G5 team finishes creating their root method that we can use later. Proof: http://bit.ly/2vskqcO (scroll down a bit)
What security patch are you on?

The latest one, so it looks like I am out of luck

Stock Firmware LG V20

Hi everyone, this is my first post on this website. Today I've come with this question. Where I can find a clean firmware for the LG V20? By clean I mean a bloatware free firmware. I have a H910PR phone model and the only firmware that I 've find was the one on lg-firmwares.com and when I put it in my phone with the LGUp upgrade method the bootanimation, the pre-charged apps and all the bloatware still on my phone. Can anyone give me a hand with this?
The KDZs will have bloatware. The only way to get rid of it is root it, and debloat it yourself, or flash a debloated ROM. Once rooted, you can use ROMs that say they are for the H910 as the H910 and H910PR are close enough.
What version are you on? If you flashed the latest that was on the lg-firmware site, you can't just use dirtycow to root, as that has been patched.

First of all, thank you for the answer.
And I have the 7.0 with the 1 of december of 2016 security patch, do you think that I am able to root my device? Another thing, Ive head that if you root you can lode your FM Radio, is that truth?
Don't know anything about the FM radio, but if you are on the Dec 2016 security patch, you most certainly can root with dirtycow: thread here.

Kk bro, I will try it
Thanks!
Even if you can't or don't want to root, there are still several ways to disable undesired apps on a LG phone without root.
I use this free package disabler to disable the stuff I don't want. See the instructions on how to set it up as device owner. It was removed from the Play store for some reason, but still available here:
https://apkpure.com/root-package-disabler/com.kunkunsoft.rootpackagedisablerfree
If you prefer to stick to the Play store, BK package disabler is from the same dev and also supports device owner mode.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kunkunsoft.packagedisabler&hl=en
If you don't want to use device owner mode, then you can try this app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lgpd.pmanager&hl=en
Or if you prefer to do things manually instead of using an app, then you can use this procedure.

Claro H910PR, any possibility to root / recovery?

Hi, I've recently moved on from my ZUK Z2 to V20 and I'm loving this phone. Recently discovered very little-to-none info about my puerto rican V20 though. Its H910PR v10j claro stock rom with 1st December Security Patch.
Can anyone guide me if there is a possiblity to root/TWRP this set with failsafe? I'm just noob to these recent terminologies about ARB/flashing etc for the case of V20. I have had G3 before but this V20 stuff is totally new to me.
Also, if in future, LG releases Oreo for V20, will the claro v20 get it?
Kind regards,
Since you are on the December security patch, you can use the normal DirtySanta root method.
As for getting Oreo, even if Claro doesn't give you Oreo, you will be able to flash the H910 version (if ANY V20 gets Oreo -- I am starting to have my doubts).

Rooting XT1626 Moto G4 w/ nougat

Hi guys, I own a Moto G4 model XT1626, and I recently OTA updated to Android Nougat.
Looking forward to root my phone, I began searching here the threads mentioning rooting this device, but this is what I found:
13th July 2016
Notes on Nougat/Android 7... At this time this method of rooting does not work properly on the official Nougat ROM for this device, it causes WiFi issues and interface problems (settings crashes, etc) and with no complete factory image there is no work fix other than to restore your Nandroid backup to pre-root status. If you wish to play with this method and try it, your on your own, I will try to assist but as I stated earlier I do not own this device. To my knowledge as of this posting, there is no working root on stock Android 7 on this device.

And a more recently thread, from Dec 2017 : https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4/how-to/guide-how-to-root-moto-g4-magisk-stock-t3725712
And now I read this: https://www.theandroidsoul.com/moto-g4-plus-nougat-root-disable-force-encrypt/
It says the nougat can be rooted with magisk or SuperSu, but there is no guide =(
The question is: There is or there is not a way to root my Moto G4 XT1626 dual sim with Nougat? I would like a guide or a follow-up about the most recent guide available and working for this model. I am really lost here.
Appreciate your help
nobody?
Sorry you received no answers. Hopefully you have succeeded already. I'm trying to root my G4 XT1625 running Nougat 7.0 .
Found these posts:
1. https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...de-root-moto-g4-plus-supersu-android-t3587918
2. https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...om-npjs25-93-14-4-deodexed-debloated-t3587180
The first doesn't mention it will work for the G4, only explicitly mentions G4 (Plus). The second seems to imply it will work for both the G4 and G4 (Plus) but the build number it gives is NPJS25.93-14-13.
