'sym' + 'a' = 'á' - accented letters with the hardware keyboard - BlackBerry Priv

Some languages have many accented letters, for e.g. Hungarian has nine: áéíóöőúüű. My question was: can I get all these by pressing a combination on the physical keyboard, for e.g. 'sym' + 'a' = 'á'?
With a week's research, I found the solution, that works for all the languages using unicode characters. Steps:
1. Update the Blackberry keyboard app on your PRIV to its latest version in Play Store here
2. Go to Settings -> Language & Input -> Blackberry Keyboard Settings -> Advanced -> Symbol Layout Customization
3. Under 'Physical Keyboard', both switches should be ON, then click 'Customise layout'
4. Click on the 'ACCENTS' tab and drag the accented vowel to its corresponding non-accented vowel's slot at the bottom of the screen. From now on, 'sym' + 'a' = 'á' (or 'ӓ' etc).
5. If you cannot find the accented letter you are looking for, then instead of the 'ACCENTS' tab, choose the 'CUSTOM' tab. Click the '+' sign -> 'Add Unicode Symbol'
6. Letter 'ő' for e.g. is U + 0151, letter 'ű' is U + 0171, etc.
7. All unicode characters can be entered, list of codes are here. Once you have added the code, the letter will appear in the window above and you can drag it to any slot just like at the 'ACCENTS' tab.
That's it. After remapping my keyboard, my SYM button + vowel combinations look like this:

Half-K - Big Keys fullscreen flash keyboard.

This application is a fullscreen keyboard (in flash) but with BIG keys!
It shows only half a QWERTY keyboard, to see the other half you need to press the right or left key in your keypad (in landscape mode) or click the area where you see the preview of the hidden keys.
To use SPACE press the ENTER key or UP on your keypad, to delete a character press the red button < or DOWN on your keypad.
The red X key deletes all the text.
There are other screens, for the numbers, special characters and accentuation (for the Portuguese language).
The special characters and accentuation, after used, jump immediately to the default keyboard.
The punctuation keys place a space immediately after themselves.
When you are done writing press the GREEN key, the text is copied to the memory and the application closes itself. Now you can PASTE the text anywhere you like, to an SMS, a word file, a note, etc...
In the beginning it's hard to use, but when you finish the first sentence you are fully adapted to it.
Enjoy!

Hmmm, it's irritating enough for me to have to go to a different screen to include a punctuation mark. Can't imagine doing that with every other key. Nice idea though.

Damn it I need a bigger screen! Or maybe two of them stuck together...
Great idea anyway I'll see how easy it is to use

N1 Voice Input (speech to text) feature disappeared!

Hi All,
For some odd reason all of the sudden Voice Input (speech to text) feature disappeared! I cannot find the little microphone in the keyboard. Also swiping across is not activating this feature.
I would appreciate any help.
thanks
Hold down the '?123'<keyboard settings<voice input (make sure it's checked)
That option doesn't exist. I was testing few keyboards and i wonder if i have un-installed the original one !?! When i go to input method i see "android keyboard". should it only say keyboard? sorry for my stupid questions.
If you literally hold down the "?123" key for a couple seconds a pop up will appear that gives a choice of input
Method or keyboard settings, hit keyboard settings.

the Voice Input above does not exist on my screen
I have installed HTC_IME Keyboard and the icon does appear now on the keyboard. However, nothing happens when i click it.
I don't believe the feature works with the hacked HTC_IME keyboard.

Advanced Config 3.3 has a setting for this but is does not disable in Opera.
Not sure what registry it edits. It should be under HKCU\ControlPanel\SIP\AutoDeploy = 0 but I don't have this key.
Turn Off Keyboard from Automatically Popping Up

I saw this suggestion in a couple of forums. I have tried it on mine but the keyboard still keeps popping up. Is there anything else that can be done?
P!

I am using NULLkeyboard

This driver installs as a selectable virtual keyboard and it's useful to avoid keyboard popup when you don't want to input data (file display, gaming etc.) or when you are using an external keyboard.
Note: I have some color issues after I used this 'keyboard', therefore I'm switching back to my preferred (FingerKeyboard2) keyboard and then Reset the phone to solve this.
Hope this helps,

This iWnn IME bundle contains the default Japanese language input method provided with the Nexus 7 tablet. While the software was originally released for JB, it appears to work well in ICS/CM9 and the keyboard display scales well between tablet-sized and phone-sized displays. Let me know if you have any issues.
FEATURES:
Predictive text
Kana-to-Kanji conversion
10-key and full-key layouts
"Flick" text input
System-wide font-based emoji display/input (usable in any app, but may lack the expected colors)
Default layout is fully ICS/JB themed, and comes with additional "white" keyboard theme
No network access required
INSTRUCTIONS:
Reboot to Recovery (CWM, TWRP, etc.)
Install iWnnIME.zip
Reboot to System
Hit "Thanks"
That's it!
The keyboard should be automatically checked in the "Language and Input" Settings menu. You can activate the keyboard by holding down the space bar on the default keyboard, and selecting "Japanese iWnn IME" when the "Select input method" dialog appears. If you wish to return to your default keyboard, hold down the "moji" button and select "Input Method" in the "iWnn IME Menu".

You can push them to your system dir with adb.

I'm still not able to change it, I'll get in this menu where if I click on any of the keyboards I'll get in their settings. And if I click on manage keyboards I can activate or deactivate them, not change the one that I want to use
open your text messaging app or something that requires you to type, bring up a keyboard and select change keyboard by tapping the icon in the bottom right of the screen.

If you have activated the Moto Action>One Button Nav, the keyboard icon will not appear. One Button Nav removes the black bar at the bottom of the screen that displays the on-screen buttons for Home, Back, etc. and you use the fingerprint sensor gestures instead. This gives me a bit more screen real estate. You must disable One Button Nav, then the keyboard icon is visible. Once I changed keyboards, I reactivated One Button.
