Google Assistant and Stock Rom 7.0 - X Style (Pure) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey there!
I got the google assistant on my moto x style on stock rom 7.0 a few days ago and i was very happy about that
Because of some problems while rebooting the phone i was forced to factory reset my phone.
I lost google assistant...and it didn't "kick in" , i do only get google now on tap again...
Since three days i try to activate the assistant but nothing happens... I should say that i'm on updated google services and google app...
Any ideas?:crying:

Check language settings
Go to Settings > Languages and Inputs > Languages & now check if you've English (United States) as your default language for Google Assistant to work on your device.
:good:

I'm from Brazil, and i confirm it's working in my language (Portuguese BR, no need to change to English) when i press and hold home button, have no idea why it was lost from your phone, since i had to format it fully and it work right after updating google app

Remove 2nd SIM icon

Hi,
Does anyone know a way to remove the icon in the status bar for the second SIM?
Thanks!
I'm also interested to know this.

Which icon ? The carrier operator ? See settings>diplay>carrier name toggle.
The no sim icon goes away when you put on a memory card.

Thanks. It worked.
In english: Download app QuickShortcutMaker, open it and navigate to activities -> settings -> scroll to com.android.settings/com.android.settings.SignalIconStyle -> click on it and hit try
I hope this is the correct way with english version

This worked great. Thanks for posting!
Thank you so much, this was the only annoying thing for me
There's a little app for toggling the 2nd SIM icon now, if you don't want to use QuickShortcutMaker

[How-to enable Multi-Window] [Z2 Tablet] [Flashable for SGP511] [Root] [Marshmallow]

This is simple edit of "build.prop" file in "root/system" folder. It enable experimental hidden multi-window view on your device. With root explorer or build.prop editor of your choice with r/w acces to system open "build.prop" -file and find this line "ro.build.type=user" and change it to "ro.build.type=userdebug" and save the file. Check that permission are 644 and reboot. Go to "Developer options" in settings and enable "Multi-window mode". Once enable "Multi-window mode" tap multitasking button and you find new button on left of x button. Tap the button and you will be asked where you want to position that app in the screen. Enjoy.
For SGP511 users I made flashable -.zip file that do the build.prop editing. Flash it via TWRP and enable "Multi-window mode" in developer options.

Easy way to get Google Assistant (no downloads required)

Forget sideloading, beta versions, etc. Just go into S7 settings, find General Management, go to Language and Input, then Languages and add US English. Now go to edit and DELETE EVERY OTHER LANGUAGE except US. Reboot phone. Longpress the home button and you should now have Google Assistant. Now go back to Languages and reinstall your own preferred language, and make sure it's at the top of the list. That's it!
My thanks to

But when i switch to Swedish ( my native language ) it says Google assitant doesn't support Swedish.
Anyone got the assistant working on a language other than English?

Oh, maybe this is true, I had already updated this. Go to apk mirror site and download the latest STABLE version of play services.

I think you're right. If you load English US or UK as a second language and put it second in your list of languages, then maybe GA will work in English.

I don't think you can "edit" them.
You can delete them by just typing the word you want and then pressing the > arrow next to the suggestions that pop up then holding the word down and press remove.
To delete all and start fresh you can go;
Settings > General Management > Language And Input > On-Screen Keyboard > Samsung Keyboard > Reset To Default Settings > Clear Personalized Data
