So been floating around past few months and it seems developement for the s6 edge plus is dead..
Is anyone working on anything?
Any roms due an update?
Anyone working on anything special?
This is not a moaning post, simply a post to see if we have anyone activly working on any developements or if developement is dead
Thanks in advance
Kriss
Had the similar feeling from last couple of weeks. I wish someone please shed some light on upcoming developments particularly about ROMS. Would be much obliged.
Same feeling here...Pixel rom seems to be the only one alive.
Great phone, small development....
Yeah i stupidly bought the verizon variant, here i am stuck without a single root. Gonna sell it soon and maybe get a s7 edge
Maybe when Oreo comes the development will be active again?
Can we flash every Note 5 rom on our s6 edge+? As I have recently flashed the updated version of Dr. Ketan ROM for Note 5 on my s6 edge+ and it is working flawlessly...
yes dead

HTV HD2 didn't get Nougat but runs it. Someone will make a custom Oreo ROM for s6e+ don't worry.
Yeah, but i was talking about a stock rom

Hi,
In case it helps, I have an up-to-date Galaxy Note 2 ROM list kept here, which includes the GT-N7100, N7105 models.
Someone was asking for a list in the AT&T section, so I thought I'd post this info in each section to tell people.
It's kind of a hobby, but it's kept up-to-date pretty much every day.
Some of you might find it useful.
That's some serious consolidation done there m8! Great job, surely helps!
Thanks.
Just a quick bump in case it can help anyone out who doesn't know about it.
Super awesome. If you could just sort it base wise like touchwiz and aosp.
this is XXXDDDAAA
Hi,
It came to my attention that I'd forgotten to add a few roms from the `Original Android Development' sections for the different carriers.
Sorry about that. Those roms have now been added.
Just a quick bump. The Galaxy Note 2 ROMs list is still regularly updated.
I hope it continues to help people out. As usual most of the ROMs are here at XDA.
Thanks.
Note 2 ROMs
cool thanks
I'm still using my Note 2 (believe it or not). The Galaxy Note 2 ROMs list is still going strong, too - although it has gotten easier with less ROM development.
(This is kind of a thread bump. I'm looking to switch to a Galaxy S8 Edge in the near future, if they are any good.)

Sorry for the boring reply, but I would recommend whichever one you try and like.
MIUI is nice for a change sometimes. Here in Japan, we were limited as to which ROMs we could flash, so I eventually went back to the latest ROMs from the carrier (DoCoMo).
The Galaxy Note 2 is still a nice phone. I'm looking forward to changing devices in the coming months, after having stayed with the Note 2 since it came out.
I pay quite a bit each month here for my phone, so it makes sense to benefit from a newer device if I'm still paying quite a bit each month.
The Note 2 still does everything I need it to do. But after trying other devices in the stores, I realize that they are quicker, lighter, and it's important to freshen up life with new experiences. (I'm kind of old fashioned, so I have to remind myself to change every few years.)
(It can also be tricky getting a 24 month contract when you live abroad and rely on renewing your visa annually.)
.. Go with whichever ROM you like, and read the threads and see how much enthusiasm there is for each one.

Do you know the main ROM thread for that? (It doesn't have to be XDA.)
For example: This thread links to these files.
That ROM you posted the link to is dated as more recent, so it would be nice to know the thread it belongs to.
Thanks.
I dont think theres even a thread but therom works fine. I flashed it some days back @Grant Barker
Only the buttons backlight doesn't work. Other than that everything works fine.

OK. I've asked around, and I'll see if anyone knows or updates a related thread.
Thank you.
Thanks a lot.

I've seen a couple of ROMs like these for the Snapdragon powered Note 3 with a lot of S6 apps ported to their ROM. Is any such ROM in development for our Exynos Powered Note 3? For now I'm running Stock Lollipop with some S6 apps like Music, Smart Manager, TW Launcher etc, but It'd be great to have a completely new ROM built with S6 features and such. The phone app looks a lot better and resembles Vanilla android. If anyone is willing to try, I'll help you with the testing part.
Thank you
We got so less developers for note 3 n900 :/
We can't get s6 roms so much early maybe we have to wait for another 5-6 months

So true. but would we ever see a S6 ROM port soon? Even though we have a few devs, they've done some great work like giving us CM12 and such. Hopefully we'll see this too
Need it man....
Hi all,
I always had Nexus phones, I don't really like samsung.. but this time, I obtained an S6 Edge Plus for nothing, and look into the dev forum, I think this forum is empty of many knowed roms, but the S6 Edge forum is full of tons of roms
My question is WHY ? because this phone is new ? or not many devs are interrested by them ?
Will he have a great XDA support from devs for custom AOSP 6.0 roms ?
I want to know this, because with Nexus and OnePlus phones, I always love to switch and test all custom roms, if I can't make same on this S6 Edge Plus, I will sell them
Thanks a lot

especially that it is the same hardwarev specifications , except the amount of ram, am I wrong?
As far as I know, Samsung has not released the sourcecode for the edge+, making it difficult for devs to build roms for it. Its still possible, but most devs are boycotting the phone in protest against this.
That's why there arent many roms, and it'll probably stay that way. But we will be getting 6.0 sometime in January or February, depending on your carrier.
Yes, but please, STOP Quote entire posts just for that, a simple Quick Reply is Enought
He quoted you because he had one of the same questions you did, many people would have done the same.

Why he kill his products himself ?

EDIT :
Euh ? there was the offical sources for all version of G928 :

Would love to hear of any news regarding any or all custom roms or wips for the Sprint Galaxy S4 in CM 14 (7.0) flavors?
Really hoping that our little three year old device is getting at least a custom version of it. Have been happy with the dev previews and how well googles made it so far.
If there's another threads regarding this or that explain indepth more about it. Do please link me to them.
Would be much appreciated.

The first one we will be able to boot will probably be the i9505s Android n. Right now it doesn't work on mine. Then soon after cm14 will come out for it, then a few others. I might Mike a tweaked cm14... but I'm not sure.

I see, well those do seem to be the bases for most custom roms. At least from what I've see previously, although if they do get it successfully done (have seen some boot and working well). I'll have more faith that this little bugger can last me another year. If not I can always upgrade to a note model and mod that.
Thanks for the reply, really hoping we get someone good working on this.
Yeah, I really hope there can be a CM14 rom for this phone. I can't get a new phone, so I hope for the best, and if not... CM13 isn't that bad I guess.

Honestly I'm running CM13 atm, and it's been perfect so far with a couple xposed mods. A couple features could be reworked and fixed. But nonetheless it's been running perfectly, hell even battery got better. The s4 if updated even on cm13 is still gonna last a very very long time. Mine will probably see use well into 2017-2018. Even after I get the note 3 or 4.
But hey lets keep praying and hoping man. I really do hope they can for us, like they just got it running (albeit it not daily) on a 7 year old device made for windows (don't quote me on that). So lets hope
Why isn't there a one UI ported rom for our device when we get AOSP ROMS WITH PIE working on our device??
As long as s8 can get one ui pie is it doable porting it on our device??
Sorry for the noob question

But that's based on oreo and not pie
I get your point but porting an entire OS from scratch can be a lot of work. Not all developers have the knowledge/ are willing to put in the effort for completing the task successfully. Especially since developers do what they do for free.

Oh okay, we'll have to wait for a stable rom then
we hope that the 7 FE gets the pie update, with that update the devs can port it to S7 very easely

From what i saw note fe wasn't in the list that Samsung published about the devices that will get the pie update. I really hope they update note fe to pie so we can get pie too because note fe and s7 have the same internals if i am not mistaken?

note fe was in the list a few months ago, but now itsn't :/
If Note FE is getting it then I thought samsung can just port it to s7 S7 edge easily, but then they can't do that because the Americans will go nuts with their S7 permanently stuck on version behind the rest of the world...
Note FE has started recieving the ONE UI update so are there any developers willing to port it for S7 Edge?
@sac23 is working on a port for our devices
Pretty excited and eagerly waiting for the rom
