I have been using Huawei ascend G7 for about 2 years now and recently upgraded it to marshmallow about a month ago.
Recently it has started toto displaycharging symbol along side battery display, even whileif it's not charging. I did a factory reset and even installed the rom again but that didn't work. When I connect my charger it doesn't charge, but when I connect my charger and reboot my phone it starts charging up til I disconnect charger. When I reconnect then again I have toa reboot to start charging.
The charging pin is not touching the sides of the phone.
Please advise.

I have just recently acquired an old imate k-jam that was not working
I managed to resurrect it for a wile by connecting 5v to the battery for a minute and then it was working for bout half a day and ten it just stopped working.
Now i need to use a 9v batter to get it to start and after 2mins it will just stop and the battery will be at 0v again.
Now do you guys think this is my battery being stuffed or is it the phone?

The connection wires to the battery is an "emergency jump start only" procedure. It's only used because the Wizard won't charge unless it can first boot.
You should connect your Wizard to a charging source as soon as (or before) it boots.
The AC wall charger is the best. Lacking that, use a USB cable that fits or a car charger, if you have one. The USB / car charger methods will take many hours longer. Also, avoid using the Wizard while it's charging. Just let it charge until the LED goes from orange to green. THEN if you get just a couple of minutes, it's new battery time.
If the Wizard boots, it's very unlikely that it's the Wizard/k-jam.
My Brother-in-law gave me his "old" Cingular 8125 when he "upgraded his phone", he said it was "too heavy and clunky and hard to use". Battery was deader than the proverbial doornail. After the "jump start", it took a full 8 hours of charging via the car charger and computer USB cable to get it to green. (He left the wall charger in South America somewhere.) The battery has been working fine for the last 8 months.
Hi All,
I am facing a very weird charging issue. When I plug the HTC HD2 to wall charge the led keeps blinking orange and green and battery shows 100%(When its actually not) when i pull it off the charge i get the original battery reading. Phone is not charging at all. Same thing happens when i connect to PC.

the issue was that the pins where battery connects were little bend, once fixed phone started charging. The other issue is that phone is taking almost 4 hours to completely charge. VERY SLOW CHARGE. IS there anything i can do for it ?
I had put my 1.5 year old redmi 3s prime for charging last night and gone to sleep, it had 4% charge and i woke up to find it was 16% and not charging. I then changed my charger and cable but no avail. I then cleaned the charging port to see if that was the problem still no use. I saw couple of youtube videos n then unplugged n re-plugged my battery to see if that was the issue but my phone wasnt turning on, so i left it for plugged to the charger a couple of hours more but it wasnt charging. Then i rebooted it into recovery (power + volume up) and ran a few tests for which i have attached the screenshot. I live in a place where there is no Redmi service centre so i have to fix it myself. I would like some help to figure out if its the battery or the charging port faulty.
Now when i try to turn of the phone the only thing i get is a red light blinking. Also I used a friends phone cable to charger my phone sometime back and now his cable isnt working as well.
Try To Reflash Rom Or Try Offline Charging If You Using Custom Kernel Make Sure USB Fast Charging Is Off If Not Then Turn It Off And Then Try..
So my sister just bought this phone recently (The 3/32 Model) and she Immedietly got an update and so she updates the phone, she then plays it for a while and then charges the phone, but weirdly enough it's always saying "charging slowly" in the lockscreen, doesn't the stock charger suppose to charge the phone rapidly? I really don't get this. The phone was charging really slow and the weirder thing is I used my Lenovo P2's charger which has the same configurations as the stock charger (I think) and it did charge faster than the stock one. I've done things such as closing the recent apps, putting it on airplane mode, turning it off, but it still charges slowly
Is it the stock charger that doesn't charge the phone rapidly?
Or is it because the update?
I really don't understand

It is the update problem, I am also facing the slow charging issue.
Lenovo p2 is 24 watt charger , Zenfone is 10 watt charger .... It take 3 hours for my phone to charge with stock charger

I tried to close the recent apps and turn on the airplane mode and it's now charging rapidly after about a minute, thank god.
I think I had this problem before because of where I plug in my charger to a wrong socket.
Im still having the charging slowly problem.
Change the charging/data cable. I had the same problem.. I tried optimizing apps, aeroplane mode and switched off phone while charging phone but nothing worked. It took around 6 hrs to fully charge my asus Max pro m1. And then one of my friend suggested me to change the charging cable. I bought a new cable n it solved my phone's charging problem. Now my phone charges rapidly even when I'm playing game while using LTE mode. so guys try different charging cable with the original charger.
And if u want better battery backup.. do not charge your phone 100%. If you fully charge your phone.. battery will drain faster.
Hello im using stock rom charging is working but when i flash LineageOS 16 phone dont charge. I closing phone and pluging cable its says charging but its not. it show battery logo 2 second and screen is closing then again it shows battery logo and closing (loop). but it not charge. How can i fix this? When phone is open its not charging.
last firmware, reinstall the rom, if not charging, it is the phone, or the cable, or the charger
