I had that problem in shaky tower. i just unticked automatic calibration option in settings of that game. then it worked properly.
check whether there is any calibration settings in doodle jump and try changing them
But i don't wanna just play Doodle Jump. I want that my Phone is calibrated...

It's because of the game. Just reset the game in the game's settings and hold your phone right.
i've had this problem to but when i reboot my phone on a flat surface it seems that my phone re calibrates the sensor maybe you can try this
Nothing Works -.-
Sent from my GT-I5800 using XDA App
the prob is not with sensor calibration but with the game.
when u start the game, place the phone on a flat surface and start it. it will work fine.
you gotta do this for all games that use the accelerometer
I tried to start it on a flat surface.. But it doesn't works..

As the title says write *#0*# in dialer and you can test it, its called grip sensor located at the top right near the camera by about 1.5 inch , move your hand over it and It will detect your hand ,let the developers benefit from it

Yes but tablets don't have proximity sensors (other than 7.7,7plus ) and it seems functioning only in the test menus so I think Samsung hide It for some reason as they haven't announced it in the official specifications , by the way have you tried it yourself

Does it have a SIM card slot? If not, there's no GSM radio and therefore no dialer.

N8005 has sim slot but no phone functionality. So to enable it flash any n8000 rom via Odin

As I said the software makes no benfit from the sensor (dunno why) but you can test its existence in the test menus by typing *#0*# in the dialer then choose grip sensor

No I tried it with no luck the function seems to be disabled by the software , and I think that they are afraid from apple patents war , that is why I opened this thread to make developers tell us how to benefit from this sensors, anyway have any on (other than me) tried it ?

If you own an iPhone or iPad do not use them near the note, if detected by the proximity sensor... the blaster will destroy them

The only news about a "grip sensor" on Samsung's device was revealed on Samsung Continuum Device which was a device with a 2nd display on the bottom released in december 2010... that display, show info about weather, news etc when you press the Grip sensor without wake up the first display..
I can't find other function about this "grip sensor" ...

I hope the developers can do something with this. maybe sooner, we can have smart cover. I don't know why but i fancies the iPad's smart cover. Just the cover though. lol.
I thought the iPads smart cover used the magnets to wake it up

Hi guys, I just got a brand new S4 from Rogers and while playing around with the phone I noticed some of the features weren't working properly. One of them was the palm gestures settings. I tried some many times to get the Screen shot and Play/Pause features to work but it failed. And another problem that I encountered was the gyroscope sensor. As you can see in the screenshot, the ball doesn't move at all even when the phone is standing up. So do I have a defective S4?

When I'm in that screen my ball stays in the center also

That screen is supposed to "calibrate" the gyroscope so it make sense that it doesn't move. You are essentially teaching it where perfectly centered is. In order to do that, you have to lay it on a surface that is perfectly centered. If you lay it on a surface that is not perfectly centered and press it, it will be off. I haven't messed with mine yet, but it seems that is the way it would be.

Screen shot does. Not sure of the others
All work for me. Just have to get used to how to use the gesture. That calibrate screen doesn't move, it's only meant for Calibrating
this pic say no temperature sensor at note 3 !! and on gsmarena it say it have this sensor

thx man but this pic from n9000
any one can assure that working on Exynos version ?
I have n9005 and it has the same sensors , including temperaturesensor. So dont worry
At first when I got my N9005 I also thought theres no "temperature sensor" only "ambient sensor"? Seems some apps like Android Sensor Box may have not updated their app then I found out that the "TYPE_TEMPERATURE" sensor was replaced with the "TYPE_AMBIENT_TEMPERATURE" sensor in API Level 14 and has been deprecated.
See this link developer.android.com/guide/topics/sensors/sensors_overview.html
Hope it clears many doubts.
Just wondering, my N3 is giving me wrong temp value should i calibrate it for each app i install?

Should only need to calibrate it once, and it should be set. If not then there may be issues(?)

iam using thermometer plus app and shows the correct temp.
I'm using the same app but the problem is I have to leave the cell phone away from hands on order to reach almost the actual temperature

I have the same problem,I think it's because of bad design of thermo meter sensor and heat of phone affects it.

That's obviously the problem I was just checking if I'm the only one having this issue. Thanks aidin_m for your reply

Even if I left my N3 on the table, the temperature reading is still at least 2 deg higher. You can try this app 'weather station', it is able to offset the error.
Too bad I was looking for this sensor turned out invalid

There is no temperatures sensor in note 3

Phone has temp/humidity sensor like s4 it just needs some time to so accurate measurement because it affected by our heat in pockets/bags etc. It needs some time to show correct values and is pretty accurate.
Also keep in mind not to block the sensor who is in right bottom side, it's a hole and if you use a case it must have also a hole for it.

Strange
Samsung says that the Galaxy Note 3 comes equiped with the following sensors:
Sensors:
Accelerometer, Geomagnetic, Gyro, RGB light, Barometer, Proximity, Gesture, Temperature & Humidity, Hall sensor
https://www.samsung.com/ca/consumer/mobile/galaxy-note/galaxy-note/SM-N900WZKEBMC-spec
And indeed, my Note 3 has all these sensors.
