I was wondering if anyone knew which Dev was working on Twrp and root for 10p? I had an idea to change the 2 ARB values in build.prop . I can't because I'm not rooted obviously and it wont save changes. I am not a Dev , so wondering if this would work.

hoping somebody will take a minute and help me understand what I'm doing wrong when it comes to gaining root access on my s5.
I downloaded the latest nightly of CM13 and installed it with Philz.. everything works great minus some problems with google apps, which have somehow worked themselves out, however when I enable root access in dev options rootchecker says root is not installed properly on my device ? I know its supposed to have built in root, but is there a way I can run the CF AUTOROOT to fix it? or is that sort of redundant at this stage ? Any help would be much appreciated, thankyou

I am trying to edit the build.prop on my AT&T Note 4 in order to trick the Oculus software into allowing me to connect a GearVR wireless controller by setting the model to be an S6 of some variant.
However, some research on the XDA forums suggests that this variant of the Note 4 is not permanently rootable. However, there was a few temporary root suggestions. As I only want to do this one specific thing, if I were to do a temporary root that was lost after reboot, would the changes to my build.prop persist through the reboot or would that also be reset when root access was lost?
Also if there is some better way to edit build.prop without needing root access (some people suggest that I could use a custom recovery but my understanding is that requires an unlocked bootloader which the SM-N910A does not have?)

I recently have rooted my s6+ G928C with build number G928CXXS3CQH1.
Everything work fine except for secret mode in Samsung internet that I knew not working with rooted device.
Although, I didn't find anypost that said samsung pass also not working, I just want to ask thak anyway to make
samsung pass working along with root? Thanks in advanced.

As far as I know it will never work... but you could try magisk hide but dont get your hopes up.
Flash the superuser uninstall zip when you want to use it and reroot when you need root? Or get magisk set up so you pass safetynet

Those who tried on j727t rooting they know its very difficult
Now i solver this issue i can rooted fully RW permissions and for this i always meed to make kernel permissive but after reboot i back to enforce i even remove whole knox stuff etc but still same, even removed rlc or rmm apps but stl same
so is there any dev who can give me any hint or guide to fix it or anyway to unlock bootloader like g900v etc?

We all know it is not root able past ZV7.
Now to the question...
Since we are stuck for full root stock on 7.0, would it be possible just to flash the required SDK/ Libs from Oreo+ in order to be able to run Oreo+ required apks?
Sure there are manipulation apks that allow value changes, but those are half ass lol.
If this is doable, this would be an awesome work around.
Lineage is nice, but it has issues.
