The Nokia 8 has a crazy crisp display. Just kidding, this is automated text so who knows if this screen is any good. So, you be the judge! A higher rating indicates that it's extremely sharp and clear, and that you cannot see pixels with your naked eye.

go to display settings and in font size and display size set them to small and see how many things fit on your screen now
Well, buy a VR headset, you can view the pixels much more closely.
Before Nokia 8 I have the Nokia 5 and Lumia 650.
I realy miss the Lumia OLED screen , put not the 720p resolution.
Wen I put the Lumia 650 phone on the VR, you can clearly see the pixels, they were that big. But not in the case of the Nokia 8, the pixels density is much bigger.
Just try the VR experience

The 3120X1440 display shows almost 4K like clarity. Could be the 2nd best display after Super AMOLED. Also very easy/pleasant to the eye, that made me prefer G7's gorgeous display over Galaxy S9's display.

I wonder if the screen on the iPhone XR is related to the LG G7? Seems like similar technology, but dumbed down on the iPhone.
is this display too cold? bluesih?

Lots of available adjustments if too cold/blue for your tastes.
Go to Settings/Display/Comfort View to remove any excess blue light. Also, under Settings/Display/Screen Color/Color Temperature you can make the appearance cooler or warmer.

I find the screen is much sharper compared to my note 9 and tab s6.
You can see the finer details in the video and textures, but this due to the higher resolution and calibrated screens.
I don't believe the ultravision engine works with everything just select few apps in my opinion as it did not make a difference.

When this came out had the best display on any phone. 1bn colors, stupid bright especially watching HDR blueray movies. 120hz and high resolution + high touch response. Top specs!!

I like it!
After having Note 20 Ultra for a few months, The device was too big for me.
So I went with the Fold 2. Also, because I wanted the flex tech since samsung showed it somewhere in 2012.
The outer display is clean and sharp. But if you look closely you can barely see the pixels. You can see the distortion of colors.
But generally, I use the outer screen a lot, and even for watching videos sometimes. And I don't notice any low resolution or so when in normal use.
The inner screen?
Its gorgeous! Not like Note 20 Ultra gorgeous, but not a big downgrade.
The screen isn't the sharpest out there. It's a little bit sharper than inner display, but still not very sharp, and sometimes feels like its a bit blurry.
When you look closely, you can see color distortion, and (I think because it's a flexible screen), the pixels are weird. You don't see the pixels individually, but you still see this kind of small color distortion around the clock numbers etc.
Summary:
Not the sharpest display out there.
But if you are using the phone further than 20cm away from your face, then it's sharp, and you don't notice anything.
And I also like that it has 120hz on full resolution. Inside.
My rating? I'm happy, Note 20 Ultra screen is sharper tho. (Not when in 120hz mode)
If you compare Note 20 Ultra 120hz mode with Fold 2 inner display, go for the Fold 2.

somehow the first OLED phone I've had, 120hz is hella nice, color and brightness good, gets very dark for late night bed use
I was worried about dropping from a wqhd screen to this initially. took about 2 seconds to put my fears to rest. Big bright beautiful screen, super smooth - I'm so glad I went with this over anything else.
In terms of clarity, looks great, no complaints. In other areas of the screen in the other hand...

I cannot notice any pixels, so the 720p-ness of the display is not a problem for me. I doubt that anyone except the most eagle-eyed would notice the difference between 720p, 1080p, 1440p and 4k.
For normal people like you and me, it is definitely good enough.
Note: I definitely notice some less clarity and less brightness near the hole punch (why, Motorola, why? A teardrop notch was good enough for me.)
You can get used to it given enough time, though.
