Try to reset your phone, because I have same setup and have no problems.

I've not really ran the stock firmware at all, jumped right to aosp build and never looked back. I've had issues with apps crashing with nolimits and other stock based roms. maybe try going full r*tard and switching roms?
just remember to flash the flashable firmware before hand,

Google play issues?

Is anyone experiencing Google play issues on their Nexus 6p. No wifi or cellular data? In order for it to work I have to delete the host file but then after it does the same thing. Doesn't work.
A bit confused, Google play, no wifi and Mobil data, why you delete the hosts file. It's not related to each other.
Which rom do you use, and what did you do or what happens that you don't have wifi or Mobil data. Are you on a clean flashed rom ?
I'm actually on pure Nexus room 7.1.1 all of a sudden. It started doing that out of nowhere. I am connected to WiFi and do have data. Not sure why deleting the host file fixes it but after a while it works after I keep deleting the host file. I never had this issue before till 3 days ago, which is very strange. Maybe it was a Google play store update?
Ah, ok, that sounds different, first I thought you have no wifi and Mobil data. But no, switching between nougat and Oreo these days and no Google update leads me to such issues. If you like to stay on your current rom, wipe cashes and system and dirty flash your rom, maybe with updated gapps. Perhaps the lazy way will fix your issue
Edit: I guess you tried wiping playstore and playservices data before .

Oreo isn't that bad. Try the superxe Oreo rom, battery life is good, nice aroma install, it's a good rom.

I figured it out, it's Google play updated itself silently so I reverted back and now it works flawless.

Wifi is disconnecting on screen off

So I tried 3 differents roms and all of them had the same issue and I can't fix it.
I tested with stock rom, stock kernel or blu spark kernel. I tried bliss rom and now I am using Codename Phoenix rom.
But I always have the same issue after going to Android Pie, my wifi get disconnected after a few minutes of screen off. My global wifi_sleep_policy is to always enabled but it is not working.
Does anyone have a fix for it?

I was using stock 9.0.4 before trying the custom ROMs. Wouldn't the firmware be automatically updated ?
I will have a look into that, maybe reflash the firmware.

The you have 9.0.4 firmware, but try to flash again. Also make sure it's not a custom kernel issue.

My current rom is Codename Phoenix, I tried about 3 different kernel to make sure is not a kernel related.
My current baseband is mpsss.at.2.0.c4.7-00070-8998_gen_pack-2.132073.1.179387.1
If I flash the firmware/modem from OOS 9.0.5, will it break something?

So I reflash the firmware+modem form this page
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76943628&postcount=8
I flashed the 9.0.5 version, but the problem persist, after a few minutes of screen off the wifi just disconnect and I have to unlock and enter the app to receive the notifications.
I realized the problem is that for some reason whatsapp is being killed in the background even after I put it to not be battery optimized.
Will try to make it a sysapp to see if works

I fixed my wifi , it was caused by some new firmware installed in the router that had a bug that caused all my devices to disconnect when idle.
The new problem now is that my apps are being closed/killed after the screen is off for a few minutes I tried to turn off Baterry Optimization but it did not work.
If I put my phone to charge this behavior does not happen my phone does not kill the apps.

Thanks for the information. To help others you can mark the thread as [SOLVED] and add an info to the first post that it was your routers firmware and not the smartphone
After some time and a lot more of test I find out it wasnt my router firmware problem
The only thing that really solved the problem was installing this mod:

Thanks and this thread can be closed now.

Several Apps Are Crashing - Android 10

<Solved/>
Hey guys, so I recently updated my 6T to Android 10 and installed TWRP + Rooted it. First day, it was all fine but now many of my apps seems to crash unexpectedly like Amazon, Prime Video, OnePlus Community App and so many more!
I flashed the update again via TWRP into both the slots and wiped cache but still no luck. Can someone help me with this? Also, is there any way to go back to Android Pie without losing data? (9.0.17). Thanks in advance.
I don't have any problems with apps crashing but I'm unrooted stock A10
Did you uninstall Android System Webview? The apps that you've mentioned are dependent on it and could be the reason. Install the latest stable Webview and try.

I was having beta version of it. Went back to stable and it fixed. Thanks. Weird how a small apk could bring so much of impact to the whole system.

I had the same issue after about five days of running EvolutionX. I'm trying AOSIP right now to see if it was Evo that was causing the issue or if it's all ROMS for this device that cause it. If so I'd recommend going back to stock.
