Screen Pinning/Unpinning with one button nav - Moto G5 Plus Questions & Answers

Has anybody figured out how you "unpin" a "pinned" app when you are using the one button nav fingerprint gestures? Normally you would hold the Back and Overview buttons, but with one button navigation, these are occulted. When I have pinned an app I have had to restart the phone.
P.S. I am using Lineage 14.1 but I suspect that the answer to this problem (if there is one) would be the same for stock.

My Moto G5+ is running stock rom and I have one button nav on.
When I try to pin an app the navigation bar appears and then I am able to get back to the normal situation by holding Back and Overview. So the problem is on LineageOS I reckon.

Thanks it is also a problem on Resurrection Remix. The navigation doesn't appear. When the screen is pinned. So you have to reboot.

[Q] Issues with Active Display and Navigation Bar

Hello! I'd like to say thank you too XpLoDWilD and the other developers involved in this ROM. I think it is truly one of the best around!
I have experienced a few issues, and was hoping someone could direct me in order to resolve them. I am currently using a Nexus 5 device!
First off, sometimes i will randomly loose my entire navigation bar when opening messaging or other apps, and have to shut the screen off and turn it back on in order to see the home button, back button or multi task. I am not entirely sure why it does this, but i am using immersive mode now to see if the issue goes away.
Secondly regarding Active Display, It seems the function wonderfully other then when I initially unlock the phone through the active display or enter a notification through the active display, it then unlocks then my old lockscreen appears for a split second and then finally unlocks my device and returns to my normal screen. It happens all within a few seconds.
If anyone could provide me with some insight or direct me to whom i could bring this issue too that would be great thank alot!
+1 on Point 1 (navigation bar disappearing)
2013-01-08 nightly and before
I have the same where the navigation bar disappears completely at times.
I have the same where when active display shows I've received a message/notification and I chose to go the app that the screen blacks out. If I then press home it goes to program.
I also have where the time disappears from the notification bar. If I switch the screen off and unlock again the time is back.

Strange Volume Bar behaviour since Android 6.0 Update

Like you see in my screenshots attached, the volume bar will not dissapear after I changed the volume, I need to tap somewhere on the screen and just after this the bar dissapears.
If I watch a YT Video and just want to change the volume I need to tap on the screen afterwards. It is just in my case or a Moto X Style (Pure) problem?
I asked some guys who run stock 6.0 on a Nexus device and they so not see this behaviour, thier volume bar dissapears on its own after the change is made.
It works fine for me, slider disappears really quick.
Upgraded to 6.0 yesterday.

TruPureX 2.2 with Xposed , GravityBox and some more
Mine goes away but it takes forever, like 30 seconds. Figured it was a feature too since previous versions it was actually too quick.
Tried disabling xposed modules?
Sent from my Moto XPE
So I disabled gravitybox, restarted the phone and the volume bar was still there for over 10 sec.
So it's not GB that causing the issue.
Just checked,
It does disappear after 20 seconds

Sometimes it doesn't disappear itself. It disappears touching somewhere on the screen. I am okay to live with it. However it is not happening very often. It doesn't stay on the screen persistently.
I did a factory reset now, and it is stil the same way, I have a stock MXS.
I do not think it is a feature because on Nexus Phones it just works fine, and who the hell needs this bar longer then 2-3 sec, or is somebody changing volume this way?
€: since when do a wipe data delete the internal storage? -.-

IF YOU TOUCH THE SCREEN yes, so otherwise it is there for a way to long time.
This seems to be a bug because I have never seen any other phone behave like this and even on stock Marshmallow it doesn't work this way.
The volume panel time out is set to 30 seconds if you have moto voice enable in Accessibility Settings.

You are right!
But what does it do? I deactivated it and I'm still able to use my wake up phrase and do all the stuff
Alright,
For the people who use the gravitybox.
Go to accessibility, disable moto voice.
Go to gravitybox, media tweaks, volume panel timeout and set your time.
It works for me, I hope it works for you guys as well.

All the ways I know of require root. I'll spew out the ways I know of in case you have root: I am using a double tap Nova launcher gesture to turn off screen without locking. Greenify has an option. Pure Nexus has a double tap on navbar feature. Resurrection Remix I programmed long press of home button to turn off screen. I believe double tapping the statusbar might turn the screen off even stock? Not sure about that one.
I feel the power button soft, i allways had problems with nexus' power buttons. But i dont want to root the 6p...

Does double tapping the statusbar turn off the screen when stock? Maybe that's an option under settings>display? I wasn't on stock for long, so can't remember. That's my only non-root idea.
If no solution is found, why not just turn the turn off display to 30 seconds?

Power button seems to be 'kinda' working

Hey guys, I have a problem with my power button, seems like it's working but at the same time it's like stuck, so I don't know, if I press the power button just for a bit, it restarts and goes on a loop just because of that, but If I don't press it, everything works fine.
What should I do?

Go to a service centre and get it checked

Sorry to hear that. You could use the fingerprint sensor wake option, and double-tab home or empty areas of nav bar for screen off, I think Lineage OS has both of those. Not sure that's a complete solution though.
I was put off by motorola's locked bootloader in 2012 with a Droid X2, then it's mechanical "Back" button failed, making the phone useless. Being so cheap now and having changed its bootloader policy, I decided to give Moto another go. But I still don't trust the buttons, I want to limit their use as much as possible, using fps wake and double-tab home to sleep.

Yeah, I'm doing that atm but eventually I'll need that button, what if I want to take screenshots or something?
A friend who's a technician will check my phone to see if it can be fixed, hope so..

Screen problem

I quess this might not be problem with phone itself, because it was fine till this day but I got some problems with bottom of my screen, as you can see on screenshot. Also, I can bring back buttons instead gestures in setting, or maybe I just cant see buttons because they are below edge?
Google didn't help me, so I am trying to find solution here.
Thank you.
edit: when I switch back to buttons not gestures, screen is normal but there is no buttons.
you have custom launcher, just try go with stock and see what happens
