Bricked DL09 - Can't enter recovery to use dload - Huawei Mediapad M3 Questions & Answers

I can get into fastboot mode only (I can't into the software updater by pressing all three buttons).
I need to be pointed into the right direction to flash a stock image with fastboot. I'm struggling to find the right file package.
Advice is appreciated.

[Q] Download mode stuck

Hi guys,
Long-time phone rooter/XDA reader, first time posting.
It seems I have finally come across a problem I can't fix by insane amounts of googling and trial&error.
I am currently on some Kitkat custom ROM variant with CWM 6.0.4.4
I'm looking to get back to stock, but my download mode refuses to open. Its stuck at the blue dots screen. (attached picture for clarity)
I've let it sit there overnight, with no change.
I've attempted to use the LGMobile Tool (even this method), but when it reboots my phone, the phone sits on the "LG" screen, and the LG tool eventually errors out ("communication error").
Recently, I managed to back myself into a corner after (incredibly idiotically) accepting an OWA, when my recovery was corrupt, and my download mode would not even open then - and i had to use some bizarre method of commands in Linux to be able to get TWRP on, then flashed CWM and them my ROM.
So what can I do now? I'm assuming my download mode is corrupt - is there a way to flash a good download mode onto the phone?
Any thoughts/input greatly appreciated.
edit:
Ok looks like I have understimated myself.
I used THIS tool to extract my KDZ, to get the LAF file (then renamed it to laf.img)
I then used the instructions from HERE to flash to the correct place.
It did not reboot into download like the thread said it would, but I did a manual download mode entry (while off, hold Volume Up + insert USB) and viola!
I am now currently using the LGMobile tool to go back to stock

Hey thanks for the post. My download mode will not go past the 5 blue dots screen. I am trying to return to stock but I get the same download mode error. I am rooted and have TWRP installed. This download mode error has happened before. I fixed it by flashing CM and then going into download mode and it worked! But my TWRP is getting an error when installing any rom. It fails and installation and says error executing updater binary. I just need to fix download mode or TWRP. Any help would be great.
Did you already have recovery installed when you were stuck at the 5 dots download mode screen?
How to Connect in ADB ?

[Q] n900w8 Won't boot into recovery mode

A few months ago I rooted my N900w8, installed custom recovery (cwm), and flashed Android L. Today I tried to update the recovery, planning on updating the ROM as well. But now no custom recovery works at all, even the one I had running before. When trying to boot into recovery it says booting recovery... like it should, and then the screen just goes blank, then the phone restarts. Sometimes getting stuck in a bootloop trying to boot to recovery, but usually just regularly booting and boots normally to Android L. So now I am unable to update my ROM because not a single custom recovery has worked and therefore I cant flash the .img files. Please Help!

I had the same issue except when I try to load recovery it would "forward" itself to download mode.
This may work for you, try re-flashing the latest CWM update with Odin. Place your phone in download mode by powering it off and holding Volume Down + Home + Power. Press volume up to proceed.
1. Download and extract
2. Run Odin as Administrator (Download if you don't have already)
3. Select CMW file from your download folder and place it in the "AP" section.
4. Start
When finished, Reboot holding Volume UP + Menu + Power Button. Vola!
Let me know if this works for you.

Yeah depending on which recovery I flash it'll either forward to download mode, get stuck in a boot loop trying to start recovery, or restart and load the ROM.
Unfortunately it still isn't working :/ I used the tool from this page (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2446269) to convert the .img to a flashable odin file. Used the proper Canadian touch recovery (also tried recovery without touch) from this page (https://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager) and no luck. Tried to enter recovery mode, it says entering recovery mode, goes black for a few seconds, vibrates then restarts the phone in regular boot mode :/ Any more idea's?
Do I need to be flashing a recovery that supports Android 5.0.2 for it to work? Im so puzzled.
YES!! Finally I was able to get a TWRP 2.8.5.0 working. Downloaded latest version from the main TWRP site and flashed using ODIN, did not use the converting tool above, downloaded the TWRP as a .tar flashable file from their site. Thanks for the help!
Do I need to close this thread or anything? This is my first time posting on xda

Congratulations on solving your own problem! ^_^
I just figured to share my part when i experienced the same issue. I feel like it has somehow corrupt itself after it finished flashing which results in an empty directory for the recovery mode.

[Q] note 3 (n9005) bricked?

I just lately one day decided to update TWRP recovery. I downloaded img file and flashed it at the old TWRP. I rebooted the phone but just blue recovery boot text flashed quickly and it went to the Odin mode and there is red text: could not do normal boot. :crying:
So if I try normal boot it does that above. If I press recovery It does the same. I can still access Odin mode.
Is my device soft bricked or hard bricked? How can I get it work/unbrick it?
Lots of questions... I am pretty noob with these root/moding things, I hope someone could help me.

You only have to follow the steps posted in TWRP page:
1. TWRP Install (Requires TWRP 2.8.4 or higher already installed):
Download the latest TWRP image file (.img) from the download link and boot TWRP. Go to install and find and select the Images... button. Browse to the image that you downloaded and select it. Choose recovery and swipe to flash.
2. Odin Install Method (No Root Required):
You will need to download and install Odin on your PC. Once you have Odin installed, download the proper .tar file for your device from the download link above. Power off your device. Turn on your device using the proper key combo to get into "download mode" and attach the device to your computer via a USB cable. Use the PDA/AP tab or button to browse to and select the tar file that you downloaded and flash the device.
SOLUTION: Reflash TWRP via 2nd step.

What Options Have I Got At This Stage With A Bricked D802

I installed autorec recovery.as soon as i booted I realized the presence of white lines which have never gone.I cant flash any zip file such as the JDI kernal. It cannot enter into download mode even after erasing recovery, laf, aboot, boot and flashing back stock aboot, boot and laf.I cannot see the LGE port so I cannot tot it back neither does kdz flashing work since it cannot go into download mode.Adb doesn't show up.
What I got is only fastboot + white lines (they only cleared up once by luck so I could see fastboot mode on the phone) .
Please help me Un-Brick it ASAP.look at the questions below.
Thanks
-Should I re-flash all 12 partitions via fastboot (use twrp as recovery).
-It is written d802 on the cover but could the motherboard be different inside?
-Supposing I was to flash 16 GB to a 32 GB phone or vise versa would it affect anything.
-What are my options at this stage and what is the best method to approach this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/mega-tut-how-to-fix-bricked-lg-g2-t3055033
Would This Guide Work? I have seen in other guides where they warn about replacing the original recovery but rather suggest you use twrp.
-I think this is a refurbished device.
UPDATE
ok So I managed to fix the white lines and they have completely disappeared which is a plus point.I can finally see download mode for a second before it disappears.I can also go to factory reset mode after holding vol down and power but I have not reset it yet.
Any fix for 1 second download mode?Once I get to download mode i can tot back.
if you have custom recovery try different kernels, wipe, flash bootloader you must be on download mode to revert to stock.
at this point if you cant use the download mode at all, you must try riffbox(search on google)

Holy Mother Of.......The RIFFBOX is crazy....i do XBOX 360 modding and i know the difficulty..hehe.....Actually I see download mode for a second and it disappears........which custom recovery can i flash via fastboot, philz or twrp and which ones are the right ones to download.....i am already pissed off at autorec.i feel I am getting close after I cleared up white lines now only fastboot stands in the way.I know many people who mess up and enter bulk mode at this stage and I wanna avoid.I also cant find the right kdz file for my LG cause the imei is a spoofed one that is invalid in the first place so i am hoping for a miracle at this stage. Thanks for the help.......what do you think I can do apart from riffbox?

Just try everything you see on xda. I never faced a 1 sec download mode before and believe me i bricked(hard/soft and beyond) many times and came back, it aint die. Once download mode is broke there must something really not working. In other saying you need to revert to stock. Also, if you dont have custom recovery i also dont believe you can flash a custom recovery, you could try adb push laf.img recovery.img aboot.img etc. But its going be hard bricked.
Man i was thinking i faced every difficulty with d802 but you proved me wrong
I pushed the three files that's when the white lines cleared up and download mode came for a second....there is a similar case on Android forums where they download mode comes for a second. The worst part is the IMEI was patched to a very u usual IMEI on the back cover, it's not even an LG imei so i can't find the write kdz file to extract partitions from....I have to rely on trial and error......at this stage I don't wanna enter qhsusb mode aka hard brick...... I just have to revive download mode.......actually when I attempt to boot laf. IMG I get a dtb error ?any thing I can try
So I just wanna confirm this. if i flash any custom recovery say cwm (of course for lg g2 d802) via fastboot mode using the command fastboot flash recovery recovery.img will it actually install the recovery or what.and then to enter recovery i have to essentially hard reset (vol down + power ) so as to enter recovery.now if there is no recovery it will hard reset and i will enter qhsusb mode which i dont want.So does flashing a recovery image via fastboot install the recovery or what. Please assist.

How were you able to fix the white lines issue @sohailsameja?

Stuck in bootloop after failed root, can't access the update.app from my SDcard.

So I tried rooting my P8lite earlier, but didn't do enough research and ended up with a failed root which resulted in a bootloop. To try to recover my device I installed the correct firmware and put the UPDATE.APP onto my SDcard and put it into my device, but the combination to get it to update (Vol UP+Vol DOWN+Power) doesn't work, it just turns off my device. After trying this a couple of times, I decided to go a different route. I wanted to try to recover using Fastboot, so I got my recovery IMG and got Fastboot set up, but when I tried to flash the IMG it said that my device doesn't have enough space, so I tried wiping my data but this fails when I use Fastboot to do it and I don't know any other way to wipe my device.

A question! When you hold down vol up+vol down+power did you remember to release the power button only after some time (I mean did you keep holding only the vol up+vol down)? And did you try to go into recovery or is that also broken?

I did, but I solved my issue. First of all after putting TWRP on my phone, the key combination did work so I have no idea what is wrong with the SDcard way of fixing my problem. But I fixed the bootloop after finding out how to extract img files from the update.app file and then using fastboot to flash these images.
