Hi, my device is in a trouble with its signal. It sometimes lost (no service) that never happen before the device fall. I am not sure it is a hardware or a software problem. It is because if the signal lost then I reboot to recovery sometime it is back (In service). After reinstall MIUI ROM, it also back although lost again and reboot to recovery did not work also. So I install custom ROM (RR 5.8.3) but Initially the signal still lost (no service) but a few days ago, it start to back (In service) again.
I read in some thread in MIUI Forum that it is need to reinstall modem. But I don't sure it suitable with my problem. And is it modem for MIUI is suitable for RR OS?
Can you give me some advice?
Try wipe cache partition via twrp. Turn off your device, then press power and volume +/- together for entering twrp. It could be helped, but it could not.
I have the same problem on signal strength when using RR 5.8.4. But I'm sure that it could be problem from signal quality on my home. It's not happened when using MIUI 8. But, when comparing with other device, Samsung J7 (upgrade to Nougat 7.0), it looks like the same problem on the same operator that have weak signal on my home. I ever have editing build.prop for increase signal strength, but nothing increase signal strength.
may it caused by you drop the phone, and then the antenna cable be unpluged
Open the phone and check it

Hello everyone! That's my first thread.. (I'm Italian, sorry for my English)
Some month ago I've flashed a new radio. When the Touch HD restarted the wifi stopped to work properly. It can connect only if I put the Touch HD very close to the wifi router. If it is farther then some cm it doesn't connect.
I've already tried to flash another radio as another ROM, but still doesn't work..
Any solution?
1. after a radio rom flash, you should perform a hard reset, because otherwise pre-existing connections (saved wi-fi networks, bluetooth pairings) might not work anymore after the upgrade
2. if you have troubles with the signal strength, you can set wi-fi to max. performance instead of battery saving, depending on your OS rom the way to those settings might vary.
I've done the hard reset and set the wifi to max, but signal strength still very low..and still unable to connect to the network..
if you revert back to the radio rom/ OS rom combination you had before (when it still worked), it should work again. if it doesn't, do the full routine, flash back a stock rom, then your spl, rom and radio again, in combination with task 29, it must be the exact same state as before. otherwise, there is only one reason: a hardware defect, maybe the antenna cable of the wifi card got unplugged or there might be something actually broken. but given the exact timing of the events, a software reason is far more likely.
i also having this same problem too and i did flashed back to my stock rom and it still the same once i thought is my wifi faulty but when i try Android porting my wifi work flawlessly now i cant go back to wm. just wonder what has happen

Hey there guys, I apologize if this has been covered, as I feel its related to an "efs" folder type of issue. I'm just not quite sure where the hell to even begin searching.
I've been on 4.3 since the leak and have been using Cataclysm 4.3 JWR ROM for a while now, problem free. All was running great until yesterday I was downloading some media and transferring it to my laptop (~10gb of traffic before I noticed the problem), and my WiFi shut off and restarted itself. My mobile data kicked in at that point for all of 10 seconds until the WiFi reconnected and within 30 minutes my signal bars suddenly dropped to zero and calls couldn't be made. "Mobile network not available." message appears. So I figured i'd pull the SIM, replace and reboot. When that didn't work I tried rebooting without the SIM, to see if it would detect no SIM card and prompt me to put one in and reboot to be able to connect to mobile network. Well nothing was detected. A full wipe, reflash of identical ROM, reflash of updated ROM, reflash of original JWR deodexed & rooted backup, all with the same outcome. I have tried everything short of downloading the stock image and flashing that but I haven't got around to it since I haven't had time to backup my internal SD before losing all data. I should note that I'm on baseband .84/4.3 bootloader and have been since Google pushed JWR & JSS. I haven't tried flashing a new modem, I figured that wouldn't been an issue. I suppose I'll try flashing .48 and update.
Edit: I forgot to mention that yes, WiFi is in fact working. Mobile signal seems to be the only thing affected.
Edit: Reflashing baseband .84 and .48 didn't work.
I really appreciate any ideas guys, I'd like to sort this out rather than having to flash stock and RMA it or something :/
All settled, it was an issue with the frequency band my provided operates on. Mod can lock/delete thread thanks.

Hello,
After the latest update, I am getting signal loss problem, i.e signals for my both sims goes blank & only restores after the reboot, Is there any solution to fix it.
I install linageo 14.1 and had data bug so igot back to cm 13, but now every time a call finished, i lose signal!
i flash every posible rom, stock cm linageo all and had the same problem!
Any idea?!
Try reflashing stock with RSD lite. It looks like it's a radio image problem.
Other thing I noticed us that only can make calls with late selected or active, but every time it finish lost signal! I will try rsd to lollipop, I read something about volte but it's so wired that happens in all roms i check
I noticed just now it happened to me also on stock rom!what can cause this?
So let me start my admitting my mistake. I tried to install a stock image as a secondary ROM using MultiROM. Obviously it didn't work, and I deleted the installation. Everything seemed to be fine, but once I booted back into my current ROM (LOS 14.1) and no longer have any cell signal whatsoever. According to my SIM Status, I am Disconnected.
I tried resetting my Network Settings which didn't help. I'm at the point of trying a fresh install, but wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts first. Could I try flashing the radio?
