I want to know how to change system font w/wo root.
Is there anyone to know?
I assume w/wo means with or without.
With root, you can replace /system/fonts/DroidSans.ttf and DroidSans-Bold.ttf. You can use same ttf for both files but both have to be replaced.

Thanks. So I have to root it to do. How about without root? I had a galaxy tab and there is font option on display, so I can just install .apk file for new font. Any easy way?

I have it in my Froyo phone as well but there is no display-> fonts setting in HC. Root seems to be the only way to change fonts at this time.
Just wondering how you can change the fonts, (by possibly flashing a .zip font file, program, etc.?) for a custom rom, thanks.
let say
- take the font list from the tablet
- take the font you want get in your tablet
- rename the font you want with the name from the tablet
- send those font to your tablet
restart your tablet, and normally you get the font changed by the one you wanna...
I can change font easily on Samsung devices, without root. Can I do so on Nexus 7?
Hmm...no one??
anyone???
No, you can only change the font size.
Samsung added "FlipFont" to the Android framework that allows you to change the font via a simple setting.
On "normal" Androids you have to replace the actual font files, and yes you can only do that with root access.
so yeah,
I usually use iFont to change the font of my phone, it did work, and changed the basic font of my note 3,
yet, it still didn't change the font of any kind of web browser that I have.
how can I change that normal fonts?
I am rooted, and I have access on my sys folders.
please someone enlighten me to change that.
Afraid you wont be able to influence this, as the websites font are coded by the web devs themselves (html or php)
iFont does only change fonts of texts rendered on your device itself
hit 'thanks' if i helped you

yeah I thought so,
but what are the default system font's name?
I saw bunch of the fonts in font folder.
I rename my custom font to : GS45_Arab_AndroidOS.ttf
since this one is the default font for Arabic language , then I replce the one at system fonts folder (after backup)
be aware that with this method when you go later to change the font from settings , you will find that all other fonts options are disabered
Hi guys, there's a way to add new fonts in the font list in settings on rooted oxygenos? I've seen that all the 2 fonts are stored system/fonts, anyone tried to add something else?
Sounds like a good idea of this is possible without root
Not in the system folder. Maybe through an app that stores them on the internal storage.
But making them an option in the settings needs some programing knowledge.
Maybe overwriting the OnePlus slate font files, we can have one our favorite font to choose instead of the OnePlus slate

Can this be done without overwriting the system fonts. I have used fontfix and it replaced my system font Roboto. I have also tried placing fonts in /system/fonts directory, but the font changer in settings doesn't detect this new font.
