Twice this has happend. Phone was at around 70% battery. Then I rebooted the phone and battery dropped to 8% after reboot. Battery can't be consumed so fast as the phone was only brought off the charger at 8am. And it's 8% at 12noon with minimum usage.
Anyone experience the same?
Update: I rebooted phone again and battery went up to 25%.
Update2: Battery has stayed at 25% for the past 2 hours after the reboot. But when I looked at the phone again just now, battery went up to 42%! Gosh...what is happening?

Didnt have the problem till yesterday. Darn shocked I say!
I faintly remember there is a thread here on how to reset your battery if encounter this problem.
Hate myself for not bookmarking it earlier!
Have you ever flashed your phone with odin? If yes, the barrery stats may be messed up... This may happen if you flash your phone with less than 100% battery!
Here's a way to correct this failure that worked for me:

Maybe the same problem... ?!?! No idea.. i would try the fix. Perhaps it will work, if not, not, but nothing else.
Hi all!
I've some strange problems with mt nexus 4 battery values.
Today i had 59% of battery and i plug it to the original charger. After 2 hours i saw the battery with 100% charge value. OK. Nothing wrong here. I rebooted the phone and after that i had 84% of battery.
This is happening almost every time i charge my nexus 4.
I had stock rom with franco.kernel updater. Now i have paranoid Android with The same kernel.
Any idea about this?

anyone?
Have you been dirty flashing a lot?
your battery reading needs to be recalibrated.... Charge full than use until it shuts down...than charge again fully, at 100% reboot phone & connect to charge again.....
You also can try "BatteryRepair.apk" from market..most of the time it helps to recalibrate..just install, open & follow on screen instruction....

I'm trying this right now. At 1h07am the battery had 0%, so i connected to the original charger and did go to sleep. When i woke up, it had 100%. I rebooted the phone, connected the charger again and the phone had 90% (This at 8am). 2 hours later the phone is at 97%.

I had the same issue with my previous nexus 4. Did you ever get your screen/display changed? Or do you charge your phone overnight? Do you rely on USB charging a lot? If any of those answers is YES, its probable that your battery has gone bad (as mine had)
I don't think that's the solution, but give a try to this free app from the play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration&hl=it
I always thought this problem was related to rom development but I'm not sure. It happened to me with CM11 at the very beginning in november, and then it just stopped. Since January I'm on slimkat, at first it didn't happen and then for a few weeks i noticed the same problem you have, now everything has been fine again for the last two weeks.

I had changed my display and i charge over night.
I've tried the calibration 2 days in a row (battery at 0%, then charge till 100%, reboot, charge till 100% again). Yesterday i had 90% after the reboot. Today i got 91% after the reboot.

I'm gonna try that app. I rebooted the phone around 9am and now is almost finishing the charge. The battery lasts till tomorrow with my normal use of the phone, but i tough strange that every time i rebooted the phone, i lose battery % :s
Just try avoiding the charge to 100%->reboot->charge to 100% again for a few days.
Don't let it discharge till 0%, connect the charge when you have 1%-4% left and let it charge till 100% with the phone on, and then use your phone normally.

Please go through this thread. A couple of other members (myself included) finally deduced that if you ever have your display changed you NEED to get your battery changed as well. Trust me on this, get your battery checked once. It WILL be bloated. Also, if upon restarting there is a break in the battery graph and there is a significant drop/rise in battery level, that is another indicator that your battery is going.

I've been reading that thread but for example, what happens to me it's nothing compared to the first topic of that thread. I only miss sometimes 10% after restart, sometimes 5%, sometimes nothing. From what i understand, in that thread most of users with battery problem had like 80% and after reboot they only had 2%, or 0%. Thats different i think, but i'm not expert on this subject
Anyway, installed the suggested app and calibrated the battery throw the app. For now i have this data (Paranoid Android Beta6+Franco.Kernel.Updater r201):

Try Battery Monitor Widget from the Market - you can see what current the phone is pulling, and if indeed full charge is reached. There are also calibration tools inside - the app calculates the real capacity of the battery, for example. If it's a long way from 2100mAh it would be a sign you need a new battery.
Though like everyone else, I think it´s a software problem. With previous Android phones I had to be careful calibrating, flashing etc. With the N4 I've had no such issues in the year I've had it. That app can help you sort out battery calibration though.
Can you tell me The dev name? Got 2 battery monitor widgets :s

This looks normal, although if you see a break in the battery graph and huge drop/rise in battery then its definitely done for. However its not the case with your phone, so relax

Hello,
My N4's battery has been behaving really weird over the past days. My phone completely fails to predict the battery's current charge and it often would shut off at for example 40%. When I reboot it's at 0% charge and shuts down again. The battery at that point is 'completely' empty. Which means that even date and time have been reset!
You can see the sudden battery drop here:
Stats (after few minutes on charger):
The weird thing is, that although the screenshot says 4h runtime on battery, it was running more like 8 hours at that time.
The screen time is also calculated completely wrong. It should be more like 2 hours, but it says 43 minutes:
Besides that, it happens often, that I unplug it after a night of charging and while it says 100% while still plugged in, once I remove the cable it drops to ~90%, sometimes even lower.
This was today morning after a night of charging (same day as screenshots above). Mind, that I had to replug it to achieve 98%, after I first removed it before showering it was at 91%.
I'm running Franco Kernel and Mahdi ROM. Though the problem exists on other kernels and roms as well.
Should I revert to stock and completely whipe everything? The only thing I restored from Titanium Backup during Rom switches are user apps and wifi networks. So I wouldn't consider it dirty flashing, right?
I hope the battery itself isn't damaged, since I get a maximum of 2 hours OST, where a week ago I would get around 3,5h-4h..
Thanks for your input.
Edit: Forgot to say, that another problem is, when using the wall-charger, it would tell me after 20 minutes charging from 0% battery that it's at 100%, while after a reboot it again shows only 20-30%.

Thanks. As it has shut down again after about 3h on battery (1h of usage) I've noticed a relatively big buldge on the back of the phone. I think the battery somehow popped
I have absolutely no idea how that happened. Will write to the LG support now.

Hello guys,
I got 32.0.A.6.200 on my Z5 few days ago (I'm in Sweden) and since then battery drains much much faster then before. I use the phone in the same way and did not install new apps since the update. I use the phone for about 3 months and never had battery issues until now.
Yesterday 13th Feb, I had 100% at around 12am and after barely 8 hours I had 59% with ... STAMINA ON since 12am (!) ... crazy. Battery was fully discharded during the night. I will post some photos once I find a way how to do it...- I cannot post outside link, can you guide me how to upload photos?.
Today 14th Feb I charged my phone to 100% at 10am and estimated battery life is only 18 hours (this time with STAMINA OFF). Later today I will post some screenshots when battery reached 10%.
Do you experience the same?
Cheers

I guess thats the mobile radio active bug thing thats eating up your battery. You check for that by going to settings->power management ->battery usage ->click on the app that most used your battery and see the mobile radio active thing. Its a lollipop bug ??

I don't have problems (using 152 fw, though 200 fw is almost the same)
If u have had better battery life before upgrading, I suggest u to do a full factory reset - I've seen stranger things getting fixed by factory reset
Hi, i had that Problem too, the best solution is to use androplus v11 with thunderplug, i got much better battery-life with it.
EDIT: Best to use with Kernel Adiutor, because of the Features.

i have poor battrery on .200 too. I have polish phone from orange but without simlock and i use Plus GSM. I make 2 times factory reset but still nothing. The most drainer for me is ANDROID SYSTEM. On LG g2 i have problems with google services and here with system. In G2 i have root so that was no problem to solved but on Z5 i'm using visa and NFC to payment.
Thanks for your responses guys. It seems I am not the only one...
Just for info. Yesterday I repaired the phone via PC Companion so the firmware has been installed from scratch and I restored my backup data. The interesting part was that after all of that I had approx 50% of battery left and Z5 showed me that it should last approx 1 day and 13 hours - which is a very good result. So I thought that finally (!) it's been solved some way.
My happiness did not last long as the battery decreased a lot during night (approx 20% on a newly installed software without any 3rd party apps).
So this morning at 10am I charged my Z5 to 100% and it shows it should last for 23 hours (!). Totally unnaceptable.
I think I will try to do a factory reset tonight...
PS. And I switched from iPhone to Android to have better battery life..... no comment.
Cheers
Sly
Estimated battery Remaining time is about how you use ur phone so it's not a important how much you have left.
I have now 20 hours left and i usually get 6 hours sot.
Yes, I agree with you however please note the following:
- before 2nd update to 32.0.A.6.200 I never had any objections or complaints about battery life (since 3 months of usage),
- before 2nd update to 32.0.A.6.200 when the battery was fully charged I had approx 2 days remaining battery time (with few days in Standby),
- after 2nd update to 32.0.A.6.200 when the battery is fully charged I have approx 23 hours remaining battery time (with barely 1 day 2 hours in Standby). And I do not have any apps installed (as like out of the box).
So clearly something is wrong as the difference is crucial. I regret I have installed that 2nd update at all.
Don't let the numbers fool you,use ur phone for few days and you will notice that thing will be back to normal.

Hello guys!
I have a problem with my note 4, and don't know what to do, so i ask you.
My phone is rebooting continuously after lets say 40% of battery, not all time same battery percentage.
It only boots normaly when i plug the charger in.
Tried any roms even original ones, and the problem persists.
Tried with a new battery, same problem.
Please help me.
Same issue here. Any charge in the battery after 6.0.1.
Do a factory reset. If that and a new known good battery doesn't fix it... well, I'm in about the same boat, so my Note 7 arrives tomorrow.

Yes. Factory reset works in many cases. It worked for me the first time my Note 4 went wonky. It didn't help this time, and I wanted to upgrade anyhow. I reinstalled everything before even really testing, as I had no patience to determine if some update was causing the issue.
Obviously, backup first.

Today i was at 60% and wanted to install facebook and the phone suddenly restarted. So, i pluged in the charger for it to work and surprise 4% battery. Any ideeas? Maybe the motherboard?

Indeed you are right.
I had reflashed with Odin and the problem continues.
Buying a new battery solved the problem.
Interesting enough, I have it since November 2014 and I am always careful to recharge before 15%, but these 21 months seems to be its life time limit.
On the side note, a 100% charge at noon dropped to 92% at 7pm with the new battery.

I had this same problem. However a new battery solved for me.
Even applications closure are gone with the new battery.
I had noticed the drop in the battery indicator too. Even in the offline charging. The battery was 100% and sometimes when plugged in it showed 67%, 40% and 0%.
I first though it was a calibration problem after marshmallow and was about to root it in order to try to hard fix it.
Notice that when the phone is off, the % charging indication has to be right with the battery (no droppings).
If it shows a big drop (from 100% to e.g. 67%), the new battery might not be good.
Same problem with my phone I change battery my problem solved
