Auto-disable "silence incoming calls" on a schedule? - Wear OS Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is it possible to have the "silence incoming calls" feature automatically turn off based on a schedule? The feature I speak of is in the Android Wear application. I ask since watch vibrations will not wake me if I'm asleep and a call comes in--I'm a heavy sleeper.
Is it possible through Tasker or any other program? Or with scripts? I'm by no means a scripter.
My HTC 10 isn't rooted, nor is my Moto 360 v2. The watch is running AW 2.0 though.

Seems like it should work with Tasker and Do Not Disturb sync for Wear 2.0

Tasker - Looking for Ideas

I've just recently purchased Tasker and I'm sure that there's more that I can do with it but I'm being limited by creativity.
Anyone got any cool profile suggestions?
(I know this is not Shift specific but I do value the opinions of my fellow Shifters and since we all have hardware keyboards thought you guys might know some tricks or profiles to use.)
Currently I have:
- Disable pattern lock when connected to my home wifi
- Load Subsonic (my preferred music player) when headphones are plugged in
- When on homescreen opening KB opens Google Search. Closing KB kills it.
And of course sound/vibration profiles enabled for work hours and sleep hours.
I did setup Deep Sleep Detective but I quickly found out my phone goes into deep sleep fine when it's supposed to and it caused a slight lag whenever I unlocked.
So what have the more creative come up with? Thanks in advance.
Also: Has anyone who uses Voice for texts been able to set it up to autorespond to texts? I know it's not easily done as Voice doesn't have a 3rd party API but I believe it can be done somehow. I think it involves having Tasker scan for key words that appear in the status bar (such as "new text from" for example) and having the auto reponse be sent thru the stock messaging app.
ALL HAIL OTAKING71, THE RAPER OF HBOOT!!!
can't do it with GV yet...the notification titles aren't that specific, unfortunately. but there's the setting in GV to receive texts in the stock app. it's not a great fix but it could work, depending on your needs.

[Q] Better vibrations on smartwatch

Hi,
Is there a way to make watch's vibrations on notification stronger or longer, except installing custom ROM? It can be mod, or something that i need to root my watch or unlock it's bootloader to use, but i just want to stay stock. I have used custom ROM on my lg g watch but it had lately a lot of dangerous crashes and at the end I realised that except better vibrations it doesnt have anything "new" so i guess i dont need it that much. I will appreciate every answer
If you are willing to root your phone and run Xposed, then yes you can.
The vibrations on the watch are set by the vibration attached to the actual notification on the phone. You can test this out if you like, using the trial version of Tasker (if you don't already have it). Just make a notification that has a custom vibration pattern. The watch will vibrate accordingly.
To modify other apps notifications, I use the paid version of GravityBox Xposed module. I can set the vibration pattern for each individual app. My texts do something akin to an SOS, and my emails go short - long - short. You can't increase the intensity of the vibration this way, but longer vibrations and patterns are far more notifiable for me.
Edit: I forgot to mention, Xposed does not yet support 5.0 Roms.

But can i do it with tasker only then? I tried vibration pattern but im not sure what i have to write there... (empty line just comes up and i have to write something - i guess length of vibrations, so i tried "200,200,200,200,200" and it didnt work)
You could definitely make supplementary notifications with Tasker, but I don't think it can modify existing ones. I would basically have it monitor for any notification you are interested in, then post a second notification with your custom pattern. Then use a wait for as long as the vibration needs and cancel the second notification. You'll get the original with its short pulse, then your own longer one. The Tasker notification will show up briefly on the watch, but will go away once canceled.
To get Tasker to vibrate the watch, you need the Notify Vibrate command. The vibrate pattern is a series of pause and vibrate times. So 500,500,500,500 is wait a half second, vibrate a half second, wait a half, vibrate a half.
With last update Light Flow added support for vibrations in wear device, easy to configure and you can set different vibration paths without double notifications other apps I tried give. Highly recommended!

If you use a third party watch face (watchmaker) and there are options for screen on time (keep watch awake 3 - 30 seconds). I cannot speak for others though so best check beforehand.

App dedicated to enabling silent mode [Quest for a simple APK]

Dear XDA Community,
As you know thanks to touchwiz it is still possible to turn on silent mode on Android 6.0.
I have been searching the web for hours but could not find "a simple app that when launched turns on silent mode without the need to tap anything (like a widget)".
Can you tell me where to find such an app ? or create it for me ?
I would really appreciate it and I think it help other people facing the same issue.
You must be thinking why isn't he using a widget or an app with a button to tap or something like tasker for silent mode. Well that's because I don't like Tasker and use "Smart connect" instead but Smart connect has limited sound options (ring/vibrate/Do not disturb). However Smart connect allows you to launch an app automatically, so a workaround could be to launch this simple app automatically.
Why the following solutions won't work for me :
- Do not disturb mode
On samsung phones correct me if I'm but you can't set up more that one DND profile. The problem is I need silent mode when I'm at work where I can't accept any sound. On the other hand I use DND at night where I only allow calls (in case of emergency).
- Sound mode toggle widget
I want silent mode to turn on in a certain time period on weekdays. I don't want to have to press a widget every time. I don't even need a widget for that because I could tap on the quick setting in the notification menu.
- A tasker like app for sound modes
Would work but I don't like the idea to have several tasker like apps on my phone. I believe having multiple tasker-like apps triggers wakelock that would impact battery life and/or create wakelocks.

Set do not disturb until next alarm

Hey.
I use do not disturb while sleeping but i hate that manual "turn off" when i wake up. In my Xperia Z3 with Android Marshmallow, i had an option to set do not disturb until next alarm, so it will automatically turn off DND when my alarm rings.
I couldn't find this feature on my Galaxy S8. Is there any way to find it anyway?

Same here, on my HTC 10 it used to ask me how to set ''to not disturb'' ,manually, after an hour or by alarm.
should we use a custom rom for that on S8?
Not sure if it's possible but the only other option is to use the Do Not Disturb scheduling option perhaps? If your alarm is regular then you can just schedule your do not disturb to end at 6am everyday
