Can I flash a 32 bit ROM from a 64bit twrp recovery ? If not how can I replace a 64 bit twrp by a 32 bit one ?
Yes you can flash both 64bit and 32bit roms via 64bit TWRP 3.1.1 recovery

I recently got the discounted Amazon version, unlocked bootloader, flashed it to Motorola stock (no Amazon crap) installed twrp, rooted the phone and finally installed xposed version86 all from the XDA threads for this device and the base xposed install thread. Easy as pie!

Hi, which Xposed version? arm, arm64 or x86?
arm works for me
odd as the processor is 64 bit
I'm trying to flash the Xposed zip, but I added an SD card as adoptable storage and can't figure out how to flash it from TWRP. TWRP doesn't see the storage (because it's encrypted, I'm assuming). Does anyone know how I can go about flashing the zip? Also, is there a reason to use the arm zip over the arm64 zip if this phone has a 64 bit processor?

Put the xposed.zip in the same directory as your adb and fastboot files, not on the SD card.
put it in the main storage on the phone or use MTP from TWRP and install it from your PC
might be waiting forever for lineage 15.1. i decided to give aicp 13.1 a go. flashing in twrp 3.2 i get error 255. is there a fix for this problem? i already tried dropping back to an earlier version of lineage os 14.1. thanks
If you're flashing a 64 bit custom ROM (which AICP 13.1 is), you need to flash the 64 bit TWRP recovery - the error 255 appears to be from trying to flash a 64 bit custom ROM with a 32 bit TWRP recovery. https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...recovery-twrp-3-2-1-unofficial-touch-t3722206 for the 64 bit recovery.
I'm not sure if you can flash 32 bit custom ROMs through the 64 bit TWRP, there appear to have been reliability issues but your experience may vary.
huge thanks, i just flashed rr the 32 bit v as i found my version of twrp athene would only flash the 32 bit gapps.. i was coming from 14.1 and that had the same issue. the way i read the unofficial twrp 64 bit, i can just flash it with my current twrp. then i should be able to flash AICP along with a gapps 64 bit?
This los 15.1 32bit seems to work pretty good from the G4-Plus forum. https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/development/rom-unofficial-lineageos-15-1-t3775226
i will give 15.1 unoffical a flash after i spend some time with rr.
I have a Moto G4 and has an unofficial 64 bit TWRP installed in it. I would like to change it to official TWRP by flashing the .img file. Can I do it by flashing it within the TWRP recovery mode. I don't have root access.
SOLVED! correct specs were elusive. Generally, specs for Moto E2 are ARM64, but this GSM model is 32 bit. I had the wrong GAPPS file, needed ARM, not ARM64
Moto E XT1505 otus.
Please bear with me, I am an utter noob, the learning curve is steep. This is my first time modding a phone at all.
I've just spent the last few days learning how to unlock bootloader, install TWRP and ROM, now can not install GAPPS.
ROM is lineage-14.1-20181126-nightly-otus-signed.zip from: https://download.lineageos.org/otus
TWRP versions downloaded here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/?id=9288#downloads
GAPPS version-ARM64 7.1 pico from here: https://opengapps.org
Sequence of what I have done:
-Unlocked bootloader
-Installed twrp-3.2.3-r1
-Installed lineageOS ROM
-Error 64 trying to install GAPPS pico.
-I booted phone to system anyway, lineageOS is working
-I searched error 64 and the only thing I found was to try earlier TWRP version 3.0.2
-Tried twrp-3.0.2-r5, same error 64
-Tried twrp 3.0.2-r1 , got error 20.
Please help! THX!
is thre a way to instal twrp or any other custom recovery on andoid 10 ?
because i want to install los
