Downgrade to Marshmallow - SM-G935FD - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

Hi, as the title said, is there any beginner guide for downgrading to Marshmallow? My S7 Edge is SM-G935FD, Exynos version. I've decided to downgrade it from Nougat because my battery life is horrible after I updated to the latest update. I read several threads that said they encountered problem with the vibrate motor. I don't want that to happen, obviously. Is there any solution to prevent that from happening? Thank you so much.

You can find a marshmallow rom and install it with odin but in my opinion its better to stay with nougat because the security patches and the battery will be better after some charge cycles

Actually it's been months and the battery is still horrible, so, no. And I don't plan on rooting anytime soon because my warranty is still 4-5 months left. But thanks for replying. Do you have other solution?

We finally received the nougat update for S7 Edge in Denmark. But should I upgrade or not? I like my current version, I heard battery time is worse on nougat and so on?
Also, would it be possible for me to try nougat out and then downgrade to marshmallow if needed?

I update to Nougat didn't like it so I downgrade it to marshmallow with the U firmware.

Installing G930U Nougat and rooting.

I have an unlocked G930P running PE1, also rooted, but since installing PE1 it's battery is draining faster and gets really hot after short time only using facebook by wi-fi.
I've seen some people got some improvements after installing G930U and some people getting improvements after installing Nougat, and I'd like to use some root apps.
Now my question is, Is there a way to install a G930U Nougat firmware on G930P and rooting after this?
Or maybe a way to install G930 Nougat without root?
All I want is a S7 stable, fast, unlaggy and with good battery life-

G930U hasn't received nougat yet so no. Plus the newest build has issues with bootloops after flashing the modified boot image. If you go to the nougat firmware and root, you can debloat and have no issues, and debloating essentially turns the P into the U firmware as the only difference is the amount of bloat.

If I had I would've updated the thread. Extremely busy with school right now, and my S7 is my daily driver to don't have a lot of time to try cracking root for G930U.

For every android version I see people complain about battery, performance and other things. That kind of reports are so common. In my opinion Nougat is the best Android version so far and on powerful device like Galaxy S7 Edge ( I bought it 3 months ago) it works FLAWLESSLY. Battery is really good phone is so fast and Samsung Experience ( Touch Wiz) is beautiful.

newbie question

Suggest you use Odin to flash stock Nougat first and give that a go. It's pretty good and I've felt no reason to root just to get Oreo.

Thanks for the reply.
Is that the Samsung wrapped Nougat or the raw version..... I am hoping to get away from some of the Samsung bloat..
In your current Lollipop, the mixture of Samsung Bloat and a bad version of Android, (5.0.2 was a car crash.) makes it an awful experience.
In Android 6 & 7, Samsung have really reduced the bloat and the underlying OS, is significantly better. If you install stock and spend half an hour cleaning the bloat, its a really consistent experience on the S2 and I've not experienced any slowdown. :victory:
When thinking about root and Oreo, just remember this hardware is getting old now and wasn't exactly fast 3 years ago. Battery life on the 8" version isn't great due to its small size. As Samsung have been good at providing security updates, I really can't see enough gains in the whole rooting experience.
Many thanks for your help........ I will take the simple route via odin. I will see how I get along
