Hi guys.
From 2 days am facing a problem on my nexus s that's the mobile network signal is not available.
When i restart my nexus s after some minutes later the mobile signal comes up and some moment later the signal goes back offline.
My sim is working great on other device.
This device was running on Aosp 4.4.3 kitkat rom.
I tried some following steps to fix this problem :
1. Unplugged the battery, sim card and restart,
2. Wiped cache & dalvik cache (didn't fixed),
3. Flashed the factory image from google (Didn't fixed)
Can anyone please help me to fix this problem?

Well finally i figure out what is the problem.
Actually It's my sim which was causing the problem.
I've to replace my sim card.
The sim card lost network signal after some min.

In the last week my wifi&BT stopped working suddenly, without any software change or new app installed. e.g. (when I swipe wifi, it looks like it is working, but cannot find any network)
mobile data still functions.
After reading quite a lot of manuals, I understood it might be a hardware malfunction, However, I tried to do few things already to understand if there might be another reason, none of the below worked
-Play with aeroplane mode and wifi.
-wifi fix applications
-Factory data reset.
-Wipe the phone and flash oxygen 3.1.0 via TWRP.
Before giving up, Wanted to ask if you have any advice that might help:
Any customized room that might will work?
Any way to check the phone log to understand what happens when we do it?
Any general advice?

Earlier today, my fingerprint sensor/home button completely stopped working.
I tried restarting, wiping cache and dalvik cache, re-installing the ROM, and I even went back to OOS and H2OS (both stock ROMs) to see if it would work. Alas, nothing worked.
A friend of mine then called me. I told him my home button is dead. He told me it happened to him once, and all he had to do was force restart the phone and it worked again.
I'll suggest that you try the same.
Hold the power button for ten seconds while your phone is on and it'll force restart.

Hi good fellas, so a week back, I flashed mokee build everything was perfect until I received a WhatsApp message from my friend asking me why the hell am I not picking call when it's ringing. I was like what ? Dude send me screenshot and I got roasted. So I tried finding the root cause and got to know sim selection was grayed out.
Issues were,
1. Not able to select sim selection for calls as nothing happens when you click on the selection area. Data works fine for both Sims, I have not tested with SMS.
2. First sim slot works fine for both incoming and outgoing however on the top it shows the second sim name. For example, in my case I'm using Vodafone (first slot) and Tata DoCoMo, so when I make or get a call to Vodafone, it shows me Tata Docomo.
3. There is no way of making calls from second sim.
What did I do?
1. Downloded NucleaRom latest 1.4.1 did a Clean flash (wipe data, cache, dalvik and system) - Did not work.
2. My saviour in flashing, TWRP backups.
Restored NucleaRom 1.3.5 (which was working fine before) - did not work.
3. Restored NucleaRom MM final version 3.0. did not work.
4. Flashed COS 12.1, Bingo got the selection back ( Damn, it has good battery backup) so used it for couple of days.
7. I couldn't take COS Anymore, so downloded last nightly of cm13, clean flash- success
8. Since I'm so addicted to Nougat I wanted to try my luck, tried lates mokee, NucleaRom, RR, sudamod, Cr Droid but it didn't work in any ROM.
9. Back to COS, clean flash, flashed MM Firmware, then Nougat Roms - did not work.
10. Got some update on Nougat ZUI in its XDA post (thanks to developer), downloded both zip and OTA update,clean flashed. Bingo- selection is back. However ZUI still has force close issues
11. Clean flashed NucleaRom, bingo - selection came back.
Not sure what exactly is the root cause since it persists even after clean flash of other ROMS (which were working before) and also backups. If it happens in one ROM, it happens in most or all the Roms. Even in China based ROM.
So, this is the only solution I found, it worked for me. Let me know if it works or if you have any questions.

When I Flash Gapps mini, I have the problem.
But when I Flash Gapps Stock, The default dialer is replaced and then I go to settings and change default dialer to phone(by Google) and sim selection perfect.
Can anyone confirm?

Is sim selection working on COS, cm13 nightly? What happened when you have flashed zui?

I tried to flash Gapps Stock but it didn't work, Sim selection was still grayed out.
Flashed zui 2.5 Nougat and then clean flashed other Los Nougat ROMs and now Sim selection is working fine.

COS 12.1 sim selection was working out of the box.
CM 13 selection was working
LOS 14.1 selection stopped working
Flashed ZUI selection is back
& then clean flashed LOS again selection keeps working

Suggestion
Simply I tried this at my own,
And it worked!
Steps :
1. Install Lineage OS ROM from TWRP. (don't install Gapps)
2. Restart your android.
3. Skip all the startup steps after booting-up.
4. Now go to SIM settings and you see, you are able to select SIM for calls.
5. Select any SIM of your choice.
6. Reboot again into TWRP & install Gapps.
7. Reboot into system.
Now you see, you are able to select any SIM of your choice. :good:
Well...try updating kernel...it worked for me...try radioactive kernel(Radioactive reborn acuicultor) for nougat....here is the process
1)Go to twrp/cwm recovery
2)Perform factory reset and wipe dalvik,data,cache,system
3)first install any nougat rom then install any gapp package for nougat and finally the radioactive reborn kernel for nougat
4)reboot

Can anyone help me in camera issue on nougat....after the clean flash when i open default camera app it works fine in auto mode but when switched to hdr mode then it crashes and says unknown error or cannot connect to camera this error occured in all the nougat rom excpet for los 14.1...Now for los 14.1 camera app works fine for few hours then it lags lije hell touch focus doesnt respond....plzz help
Hello! Im in a bit of a pickle! I have installed the [TWRP]ZUI v2.5.306 through TWRP in hopes to fix the Sim2 slot. Now I cannot access TWRP to try installing Nuclearom back! Now I am stuck with this nougat ZUI. How do I get TWRP back, do I have to ADB Fastboot again? Is it possible that ZUI overwrote my TWRP recovery? Hardware button combination to access TWRP is Vol + and Power at the same time right?

To access the Recovery you have to press the three buttons at the same time (vol+ / vol- / power).

Just use "adb reboot recovery" in CMD with USB debugging enabled. Won't have to bother with key combinations. ZUI is installed on system, boot partition, and updates modem partition. Doesn't touch the recovery partition.

I'm actually on CM13 6.0.1 20160810 beta, working quite good since then, but my system is going completely drunk, my sim is not working any more (only my sim), wifi problems etc.
Factory reset is a solution but i have to setup again all my apps, so I want to update to 7.1.1 and then setup all my apps on a new rom without the bugs i used to.
I create this thread because i tried to install MAD Team aosp 7.1.1, stable 7 and also stable 8 and succeeded, but bluetooth is not working...
The problem i have is when i install this rom, bluetooth is written as "Disabled", and when i turn it on, it stays greyed 10 seconds and returns to OFF.
I tried many things :
-install starting from CM13 with factory reset
-install starting from CM13 without factory reset
-install starting from CM13 with format data
-install official 5.1 after factory reset + format data, then install 7.1.1
-factory reset after installing 7.1.1 with all methods over
I'm out of ideas, not finding useful things on the web, even on XDA threads :crying:
It's not hardware problem, my BT works perfectly on CM13 actually, and when I reinstall CM13 after a 7.1.1 fail (with or without restoring my data), it works again...
If you have any idea, i'm desperate :fingers-crossed:

I had the same problem the first time I enabled Bluetooth, but rebooted the phone (just one time) worked. Now Bluetooth works perfectly.

Hi. I'm using Indian xt1562. Yesterday, suddenly my internet stopped working and i got exclamation sign next to signal bars. Then it just showed "No Service". I restarted few times, manually selected network, reset wireless network and also did a factory reset. Nothing worked. Sometimes i would get LTE sign and internet would work for few minutes and then get the error sign and no service again. I tried different sims too, they didn't work either. I tried my sim in other phones and it worked fine. Also tried swapping sim1 and sim2. Nothing worked. I unlocked bootloader and installed Lineage OS this morning. Same problem. Please help

I used to do the same with the custom roms. Fix it with the apns-conf.xml file. The first thing you have to do is go back to stock or ask for the apns-conf.xml file that is located in the System / etc folder and copy it to your internal memory. The next thing would be to send that file in your current rom in system / etc with permissions rw-r-r. What I do is a clean installation. Then wipe everything and install the rom I have now (lineage with all its zip) when I finish I go to the TWRP explorer or scanner and copy the file from your memory to system etc. When you finish copying you go to the options of that file and touch "chmod" delete the zeros and put 644 which are the permissions rw-r-r. And then reboot the device. So it was my 4g solution in custom. sorry for my bad English!
huh, xda isn't showing me any notifications.
Anyway, I fixed this issue. I read somewhere it happens due to water damage and I remembered there was heavy rain the night before I started facing issues. And to fix it you have to open the device and clean the antenna connectors with isopropyl alcohol and it worked worked like charm.
I also have similiar issue but in my case imei is clean and the signal losses unexpectedly ......first it shows exclamation in signal and then losses signal....it comes frequently but unable to connect internet or call or sms.......please help.....i am on stock rom for more than 6 months.does it a hardware issue?
