Hi guys. M currently usimg Nephilim Rom V2. I was trying to flash b594 stock rom. Whenever i tried to install it with stock recovery it just says no update.app is found. Even though i extracted the update.zip file and put it in internal storage in dload folder. I cant even flash it through fastboot because it gives error even though i extracted the img files through Huawei extractor. Can anyone help!!!!
What kind of error fastboot method gives you? I always have went back to stock rom by flashing a rom in fastboot and never had problems with it
While flashing system.img i got error cant load system.img. even though it's in the same folder as adb is. There was also an error whule flashing recovery extracted from update.zip. i was flashing the recovery.img only and it says errot:too many links.
Try to re-download your adb and its related files

So you want your original firmware correct ? If so , go here: http://consumer.huawei.com/nl-en/support/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=82749
Change region (if needed) find your phone and download that.
Once you downloaded it:
1. put it on your sd card
1.1 Since when you download the file, its gonna be in .zip or .rar format, you are gonna need to extract that and what you get out of that file (its gonna be a folder called dload) put that whole thing "dload" on to your sdcard. ( put in in a main folder of your sd card its called root folder, its where your main folders are like pictures, DCIM etc.)
2. turn off your phone leave it for a sec
3. then hold all 3 buttons ( power ,volume up , volume down) and it should start installing the thing.
Hope this helps.

Are you able to install stock recovery through adb? If you are, you can easily use Huawei's recovery to flash the stock firmware

Ahh, sorry, I meant to say that you could try after flashing stock recovery to use EMUI updater to start the flashing.. anyway good that you got it to work
Hello...
So, me, a dumbass, decided to try to encrypt the phone while it was rooted... Everything went wrong, and on the first reboot it started rebooting non-stop(on the Asus logo)... I left it for some time but nothing changed.
I tried restoring a backup(system, data and boot), stays the same, tried restoring stock boot and reflashing the rom(ResurrectionRemix) but nothing changed. How do I solve this?
(Note that I have a backup of all stock ROM partitons, except the recovery)

Flash stock ROM
You can find stock rom (firmware) on ASUS website support page
Make sure you have your stock recovery installed too, and restore your rom

I solved by flashing stock ROM with Asus Flash Tool:
ASUS Drivers: https://www.asus.com/Phone/ZenFone-2-Laser-ZE500KL/HelpDesk_Download/ - Select Android OS, then go to "USB" and download the drivers
Website (tutorial on how to use it is linked there): http://www.asus-zenfone.com/2017/03/download-asus-flashtool-10045-for-zenfone-3.html
RAW firmware files: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ze...0a-z00d-z00x-raw-fw-collection-t3448966/page3
In case you don't want to check both RAW files, I posted here the versions of each firmware:
First link: WW_ZE500KL_V12.8.5.222_M3.6.42_Phone-user (Lollipop)
Second link: WW_ZE500KL_13.10.10.44_M3.6.51_Phone-user (Marshmallow)
If you get confused when you need to select the RAW file, go to the extracted folder and there will be it. (I got confused because the folder by itself was named .raw lol)... Also, don't delete any file, as you probably will need them one time later

By using that method you get everything back to stock. Simple answer: You get back stock ROM and recovery.
Hello,
I tried to flash the RessurectionRemix ROM and it was working well except the LTE so I decided to get back to EMUI.
Problem, i took the backup of bluesmoothie and flashed it but the phone never finish to boot.... (I didn't wipe anything, i thought that the restore function of TWRP was doing everything, am I wrong ?)
Moreover, the TWRP recovery can't access the content of my ext sdcard where the RR ROM is located and even if i put this rom to internal storage, i got the ERROR 7 (this is for deive: can; you have generic_a53)
Do you know what can I do to :
- Come back to EMUI
- Unroot the phone
- Re-lock the bootloader
The files of the TWRP backup are located on the sdcard, if i wipe data/system/cache, will it delete these files ?
Infos :
- Bootloader unlocked
- TWRP of Garak (but still have ERROR 7 now)
Thank you very much
First you need to flash the stock recovery in fastboot. After that you need to put the update.app in a folder called dload in your internal storage.

Okay but where can I find the stock recovery ?
Then, do i have to flash it via ADB like i did with TWRP ?
After that, where can I find the "update.app" that you are talking about ?
If i'm right, you're telling me that i can't go back to EMUI without flashing the stock recovery ?
That is correct. First use firmware finder to get the update.app. There is a firmware extractor tool for Huawei firmware. Use it to extract the recovery.img and flash with fastboot.

First of all, thank you very much for your anwser, it's very kind of you.
If i understood everything, that's what i have to do :
- Download one of the Huawei firmwares with Huawei Finder (Better get the B100 or another one ?)
- Extract the recovery.img with the update.app from Huawei Finder
- Flash the stock recovery with ADB
Then :
- I put the update.app that i get through the Huawei Finder in the dload folder of the internal storage (If i flash the stock recovery, will I be able to put files in the storage ?)
- I reboot the phone in recovery and normally, it should install the EMUI rom
At the end, my phone will no longer have a custom recvery, bootloader unlocked and root status ?

Yes, that's correct. But you have to put update.app in dload folder on your SD card as far as I know. That's how I did it.
I couldn't find B100 on Firmware Finder and I've got relocked bootloader on Nougat.
Yes, you will need to copy the update.app to internal storage in TWRP, then flash the stock recovery. After flashing you need to hold all three buttons when booting (just like getting into TWRP. After update you will have no custom recovery, no root, and it should lock bootloader.

I still have the warning message "your phone is unlocked", is it normal ?
When i boot into recovery it's displaying "eRecovery" and ask me to download the new update of recovery but it fails when getting the package. I can only reboot and turn off :/
Thank you as always

You shouldn't have that message anymore.
Are you sure that the update.app got installed? @wangdaning told you to put it on dload folder in internal memory. I don't know if that is right or if it works, but I've put it in dload folder on sdcard when I've installed update.app.

The problem is that the phone doesnt finish to but anymore... i can't do things in menu.
When you talk about SD card, it's the external sd card ? Because i don't have access to it anymore, but i have the partition SD Card
When you installed the B340 update, you seen the percent growing up and had a "success" message ? Because, for me, the update is stuck at 5% and then it reboot the phone

Yes, I mean external sdcard.
Reinstall TWRP and restore bluesmoothie's backup and then flash the stock recovery again.
I didn't have any issues with installing the B340 firmware. It was installed successfully.
Try to follow the steps I've used. You shouldn't have any problem.

Okay i'm going to try it right away
My external sd card doesnt show up anymore when i connect it to my PC, i don't know why
I mentioned internal SD card because you said your external was not recognized, but you might try putting the dload folder on external. I have done it both ways. Sometimes the update through stock recovery is finicky. If it doesn't finish run it again. Also, make sure your USB is disconnected, as may Huawei users have mentioned this causes it to freeze. If it still fails, try dloading a different update from firmware finder.
Did it work?
I didn't have so much time these days but I did it and it worked for the 1st part (flash bouesmoothie's backup). Tomorrow I'll do the final step! Thank you again
Here I am :
1 : flashed stock recovery from B350 and i don't have the "unlocked" message anymore !
2 : The update B350 made it, "update success"
3 : It doesn't boot for now
4 : The boot doesn't end
-----
1 : flashed TWRP recovery, launched a factory reset in the same time
2 : Phone booting again on B100
-----
1 : flashed stock recovery from b350
2 : flashed b350 update
3 : Everything is fine !
Thank you for your help !!!

Hey, I faced the same issue 2days ago and yup I found a solution...
So, the first step you will need to follow is to flash the stock recovery via fastboot and then download the stock firmware zip file from Asus site and copy the zip file to SD Card. Now go to the recovery and then select "Apply update from Sdcard" and select the zip file and let the process complete .
In my case it took about 20-25 minutes so don't get tensed regarding the time...

Yeah I have also faced this issue and the only way to get your device working again is by flashing your stock ROM again either via Asus flash tool or via your stock recovery.
To flash using Asus flash tool...
Download the stock recovery file and flash it.
To flash with recovery...
Find and download stock recovery and flash it to your device via ADB
And then download the zip file for your device for your device from Asus official site and put it on your SD card.
And then select apply update from SD card and let the process complete...

Though i took backup of the stock rom befor wipe out data.. So i recover it..
Btw thnx bro
After done flash twrp img file through adb on asusu z010d by pressing vol up and power key i cant go to twrp . My screen goes of the exact time twrp open. What should i do? Still i can use my phone by rebooting. But cant reach twrp. Any solution?
I bricked my device flashing the wrong recovery and rom (didn't know it was the wrong one til I saw the poop I did), now the screen sucks even after flashing correct firmware with back2stock. I believe that installing correct recovery would solve (if not, well, idk what to do with this)
if you install an older version with back2stock and put the latest version on internal storage then it'll detect the update file and ask if u wanna install the update.
if you update like that, stock recovery will be back... i don't have a ze601kl so, i can't just share the recovery
for example, install "WW-21.40.1220.2161" with back2stock then put the "WW_21.40.1220.2170" zip on your internal storage.

Thanks, it is now working as a new one :3
it was probably the firmware...
since you installed the z00l recovery and z00l rom, you replaced z00t firmware with z00l firmware.
if that happens again, you can just flash this with twrp and should fix the problem. https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=24671318762849134
this one is a bit outdated but you can just copy the "firmware-update" folder from latest rom and replace the files in this zip. that would work.
back2stock doesn't update the firmware thats why it didn't fix the phone at first. but when you installed the new rom as an update it updated the firmware with correct z00t firmware. it wasn't about the stock recovery, it was the firmware.
