Hi,
my unit info:
this unit has wifi and 3G, buildin sim card.
how to root it and can I get some new ROM for it?
tried kingroot, tr,framroot no success.
but I found the system apk was debugable, is that useful for root it?
I can not connect it via ADB, it doesn't have any usb port.

Even though the forum "seems" to support it, you can't embed images. You have to attach them, which means uploading from your computer.

Hi!
I have had this phone for a while now and thinking about rooting it so i can use droidwall and OC the phone. How is the easiest wat and is it safe?
Isak
i used z4root and no side-effect so far..
Ok, but if something goes wrong is it anyway to recover all data on the phone and just start up again?
i would say its always wise to do a backup before trying anything potentially dangerous..
u may read the other topic about recovery mode in this board for this..
Ok, gör det innan jag försöker roota
good luck and have fun..
worked perfect Thanks!
@Isakk1, can you please guide me how you rooted your u8800 using z4root?I got problem with the driver (huawei hsusb device)
hoping for your immediate response.tnx

do it in your own risk and make sure your understand what rooting is before rooting
get z4root, install it, run it, select "permanent root", wait until it reboots, done.
I need the driver dude..i keep searching on google but it's hard to find the exact file in this device.

USB driver for windows? do you see the auto mounted CD drive after plugging in? the drivers are there
Why need of drivers?
Assuming you are trying to copy z4root on your device... SD-card should mount itself when you plug usb in, just choose to mount from your phone notification are.
Moved to general.
I think this is what you're trying to do:
1. Open device manager, you will see this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Then right click on the HSUSB Device choose update driver then browse my computer manually. Then browse to this:
It will then install the driver and it should show this in device manager now:
Also worthwhile would be starting cmd and running adb devices to make sure the phone is listed.
thankz a lot guys..very appreciated
i rooted my phone . but i feel it's not good idea when i use 1 week. the phone always have some issues when use, so i flash back.
Can someone upload the drivers and share the link coz I can't find the drivers on the mounted drive (it's empty) after I installed the B160 based ROM.
Drivers attached to this post
Thanks alot!
I used z4root from Applanet.net
installed easily and rooted no probs as well.
Hi I am new to this forum and I'm not an expert, I really would like to use the webtop without a dock,i tried following the instructions posted here but nothing happens, I don't know what am I missing. Am I supposed to run the install file on my computer or on my phone? When I run it on my computer a black screen appears and some command and then I says to press any key and that my phone will reboot, but nothing happens. Am I supposed to do something to my phone?
I'm on att gingerbread, not rooted, I enabled debugging mode.
Thank you
You need to root and probably deodex
sent from my Atrix via XDA premium
You are probably right, but why then on Fenny's post it says no root or deodex needed??
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=980193
oh well look at that,
you run the script from your computer but your phone has to be connected and have all the right drivers on your computer

Can you please be a little more specific, I have the drivers for motorola media link and the phone portal, also for usb connection.
do you know what ADB is and how to use it?
No. I don't know... I just enabled the debugging mode on my phone

ok connect your phone to hyhour computer and make sure the computer knows it is connected
then run the script
good advice
If I were you I'd be VERY CAREFUL and investigate and learn all you can BEFORE doing any mods on your phone. Too many phones have been bricked (rendered useless) by running things you know little about.
I did that but the doesn't do anything, it doesn't reboot like it says on the script. I know it's connected because when I enable debugging I see the pop up screen for the internal memory and the sd card
Thanks for your concern I really appreciate it.what I like about this is that doesn't require root
Root
Hi
I also had exactly the same problem.
I wanted webtop, without really rooting my device.
It didnt work out. Also ran the script no reboot etc.
I then rooted my device, Fenny assisted me to create 2 files for the stock 2.2.2 atrix 4g (The older version of the os)
I copied them manually using root explorer, rebooted, and walla, i had the webtop working.
I still have those files.....
If you need them, PM me, its worth a try...

I can't seem to get passed this point flashing the modified firmware after using URDLV, I have been able to successfully flash the stock firmware file though.
Things I've tried/taken into consideration:
OEM USB Cable
Freshly installed USB drivers
All Kies processes closed
USB Debugging enabled.
Multiple copies of the firmware downloaded and tried from different locations.
Tried on another PC
Anyone have any suggestions on a fix for this?
I notice that the new tar.md5 file is different on the inside, wonder if it is related to your failure.

I had someone pass me the following files to suit my AP/CSC
N9005XXUBMI7_VEGA.tar.md5
N9005TELBMI2_CSC.tar.md5
Using these files fixed it for me, you'll need to find the ones to suit your phone though.

I've bought an Android 6.2" HU with 4.4.4 and Quadcore 1.6ghz, 1gb ram, 16gb nand.
Google/Ebay search for Pure-Google-Android-6-2-Double-2 Din-Car-GPS-DVD-Player-Radio-Bluetooth-Camera
It's not branded. The vendor sent me a firmware for "AD-UN6202". MCU is TS901.151104. That's about what I know.
The firmware from the vendor is a bunch of files. The HU reads and flashes these just fine, when using GPS SD and reset. Files are:
root.tar, ramdisk.gz, recovery.gz, atc.upd, target.bin, rd_datazone.bin, 83XX_Preloader_realchip_sd.bin, data.img.ext4, arm2.bin, cache.img.ext4, data4write.img.ext4, databk.img.ext4, u-boot.bin, uImage, system.img.ext4.
I wish to put on Malaysk 4.4.4 rom, but it's not reading the update.img which i've stored on GPS SD. I've tried a bunch of different methods to get into recovery, to no availability.
So how to I proceed?
thx
Hi
i have same screen on my unit,i need your update rom,is it possible to share?
thank you
You have pm with link to firmware.
Firmware has some serious bugs. Radio starts randomly by itself. Settings are not saved after power cycle. Radio app cannot be linked into Car Launcher app. Radio app might save presets, same for EQ.

Dear friend, can you PM me the link of your firmware. I have the same MCU and try to modify core files.
Were you able ot root this headunit? If so, how did you root it? Kingroot and Kingoroot won't work for me.
i dont have this unit, I have a Joying, but I never got them to work via SD card, I always have to use the USB for changing the ROM
Hi fellows, this is a script that help users owning an Android 10 FYT based platform car headunit to take a deep backup of their original APK files before attempt to modify the headunit contents.
1-) Uncompress the contents of the FYTBackup.zip file in an USB pendrive (root folder)
2-) Insert the pendrive in your Headunit us port
3-) Wait until it restarts automatically and end the backup process.
4-) Remove the usb pendrive once you see a green message in the screen.
Note: If you see a red message, it means that you don't have a 360 camera system in your Headunit, don't care about this as the backup will be made anyway.
Cheers.
Hi,
I tested the tool on my Ekiy 7T.
It didn't work there. It came only briefly the Android lying on the side with the exclamation point and then the radio reboots.
Did I miss something?
Greeting Mario
