Now live in the UK!
I called my brother who has a Galaxy S2 and the voice quality is amazing!
How did you activate it? Does the other person have to be on orange with a hd voice phone?
both phones and network needs to support HD Voice to support it
Does T-mobile support it?

gets done automatically - you will hear the difference :-D
just to clear things up for everyone....
to use HD Voice and for it to work....
1. BOTH phones used for the call MUST have "HD Voice" (this specification will ONLY be on the phones spec on the orange website)
2. BOTH phones MUST be orange branded!
2. BOTH phones MUST have 3G signal at the time of placing the call....
if these conditions are met, the call will be in hd voice, (similar audio quality to viber). if the 3g signal drops on either handset, call quality will be reduced to standard...
currently, it only works with orange, its done with an enhanced version of the regular audio codec used for calls, which at the moment, is only implemented orange branded firmware on some handsets (although, its not just limited to android, it's actually a technology developed by nokia, and is on loads of phones, has been for years, on a variety of platforms!)
no1 else seemed to care much for HD voice, but recently, sprint in the USA started implementing it too, which should kickstart a trend, and in a couple of years, it might be more of a common thing.... x
Hi,
I have bought Atrix from Ebay US.Currently i'm using this phone in India on Idea sim. I'm facing weird voice issue with my phone. 2/10 call have the muffed or very less sound. Does anybody facing similar issue.
Will upgrading the ROM will solve this problem?
phone bought in US used on India?
mmmmmm changing radios would be a good idea.
read the noobs sticky.
does it have better voice call quality over other variants of G2?
Will this benefit still retain when using AT&T G2 over other network, say T-Mobile?
Hello all, I purchased my Zuk Z1 about 3 weeks ago now and to be honest I regret buying the thing. The WiFi is poor and the phone is also missing Band 20 - 800 Mhz that is widely used in the UK.
Another problem I'm experiencing is making voice calls with network three. Whenever I make a call the quality is not very good and I seem to get a hissing noise as well. If someone rings me this doesn't happen?????
I've tried the three sim in my Nexus 4 and the call quailty is fine.
I've also got a Virgin sim in slot 2 but have no problems with that at all.
Anyone got any ideas? Thanks.
I really wish I'd just bought the Nexus 6P now.
Hi, I am also on 3 and have been using z1 for a week now, used in London and Midlands area.
I don't seem to be experiencing the problems you have, call quality seems good, wifi good and 4G coverage. Certainly no worse than my previous nexus 5 which was my main phone for 2 years.
I'm still somewhat confused by the band 20 stuff. The phone supports 800 MHz according to the specs. I know 3 is currently rolling out volte - is this what you mean?
I do have the same problem with my simcard...I'm using du simcard at united arab emirates..
My calls are the same on 3. No 4g either
Hello...
I installed the ZUI version stock ROM and I'm not facing this problem anymore....I think it's much better than CM12....

I agree with you on ZUI being better than CM12,especially with the Zuk1 OS. It adds to the experience rather than taking away from it, like the heavy Samsung skins do
Is it possible to use voLTE in zuk Z1 using ZUI?
I am unable to make confrence call in my zuk z1. It shows an error. Unable to merge calls. Pls help me to resolved this issue
Sir I want to know that how to make a video call on moto g4+ by using Jio VoLte
Both in jio or any other case both sides should have same interface/app...I never used jioapp but I'm using Google's Duo app using Jio data.. It's too good and consuming very less data. Video and voice are damn clear
