Help with SM-T337V - Galaxy Tab 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

A while back my friend gave me his tablet to try and fix. He was screwing around in odin and did a nand erase. From my research it seemed I needed a pitfile to fix it. This weekend I was clearing out some junk and found the tablet so decided to give it another try. I was actually able to finally find the pit file, so I downloaded odin, the pitfile, and the newest lollipop. In odin, I loaded the pit and selected repartition. Odin goes through the process, reboots the tablet to the little android guy it loads then reboots again and it hangs on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 screen and won't go any further. I can access recovery and download mode still and according to the recovery logs the OS installed and is there, it's like this thing isn't setting the boot partition correctly or something. Anyone have any experience with this, or able to tell me if I'm doing something wrong.

[Q] Soft Brick - Stuck in Odin Mode - SM-N9005A

Working on this at 3am was a bad idea. Being tired and becoming impatient was not a good combination. I was running version 4.4.2 for Samsung Note 3. Upon trying to downgrade the firmware to 4.3 using the official .md5 from sammobile, it went through almost the entire process, failed, and I received an error code in Odin v3.09 under Message:
NAND WRITE START!!
FAIL! (Auth)
Phone was stuck in download mode with almost the full loading bar. After about 20 minutes of waiting and becoming impatient, I pulled the battery. Upon bootup, I have become stuck in Odin Mode. When booting up, I get this, minus quotations:
"ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SM-N900A
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
System Status: Official
KNOX KERNEL LOCK: 0x0
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x0
QUALCOM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE (CSB)
RP SWREV: S2, T2, R2, A3, P2
WIRE PROTECTION: ENABLE
UDC START
Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please Select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
I have tried recovering in Kies, but it does not recognize it. I can not boot into recovery mode, but I can still boot into download mode (thankfully). I have retried using the official firmware again as well as a Poland 4.4 release (as recommended on an article in this forum) After a google search, I came across an article on droidviews on "How to Unbrick AT&T Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900A"
I attempted to follow their tutorial. In odin, it seems to go well all the way to the very end. I tried initially without the bootloader, then a second time with. I keep getting the same error message (there are previous lines stating what it has done, I can post if needed):
NAND WRITE START!!
FAIL! (Auth)
The phone hangs up again and I have to do a battery pull.
Additional notes, possibly not helpful: I did do a factory reset before attempting this. Attempted to use Odin 3.07. After searching these forums, I have tried CF-Autoroot, using CWM recovery.tar, All through out this, I have tried using different cables other than factory, tried it on 3 total different computers (home desktop, laptop, and now work computer), different usb ports, entirely uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, and verified that Kies was not running in the background (terminated through task manager). Found an article in this forum to do just a re-partition in Odin using a PIT file. I used the one I got from droidview mentioned above. It says successful in Odin, then the phone starts to power-cycle at the Samsung splash screen. I can still boot into download mode, but I can not boot into the recovery mode (power cycles again). After the power cycling, I attempted to reflash the AP, and after it goes through almost the entire process, it gets the error "FAIL! (Auth)" and phone hangs up again. After reboot, I get the error on the phone again, "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue..."
Let me know if there is any other information you need me to provide. I am willing to try whatever I need to do to get it fixed if anyone has any ideas. Very desperate. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Get the official NB4 Samsung 4.4.2 note 3 firmware for your phone's
model number from http://SamMobile.com and Odin flash it.
You cannot downgrade to 4.3 firmware.
Good luck!

Unfortunately, they have only released the 4.3 firmware through that website even though the 4.4.2 firmware was released sometime in March.

I noticed the dedicated forums, and unfortunately I couldn't find anything helpful minus the Root de la Vega thread (which is what I was originally going off of to root). My best guess was that I was going to have to wait until Samsung had the official release of 4.4.2 website. Who knows when that would be, so I just got back from my local AT&T Device Support Center and had it replaced. Thankfully the KNOX indicator wasn't tripped. Thank you guys for the help!

Need help with a soft-bricked SM-T337V

My company issues the Verizon flavor of Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 for our users that are out in the field. It seems like this one particular user (or someone close to them) decided to try and root the device in order to get around the restrictions we have on them via a MDM client. When the tablet boots (even when trying to go into recovery via power+home+volume up) it goes to the triangle screen saying "System software not authorized by Verizon Wireless has been found. Please turn off and go to the nearest Verizon store". But unfortunately the store turned us away saying there's not much they can do. I am able, however, able to get it into download mode.
So far I've tried flashing the Verizon Stock 4.4.4 firmware, which I found searching around here, via Odin 3.10.7. It gives every indication that the process completed and shows the green "PASS" block up top. When the tablet reboots from flashing, it still goes to the triangle screen. Once the triangle screen comes up, upon reboot there's a lock at the bottom of the boot screen and the word "Custom", shown here: http://i.imgur.com/5PC0qeZ.jpg. It seems like maybe the bootloader isn't correctly being overwritten or something. When the tablet is in download mode, it says the following in the top left (after I've already flashed it a few times):
Odin Mode
Product name: SM-T337V
Current Binary: Custom
System Status: Official
Reactivation Lock(KK): Off
Qualcomm Secureboot: Enable (CSB)
RP SWREV: S1, T1, R1, A2, P1
Secure Download: Enable
UDC Start
I'd like to think I'm not a total novice with this stuff, but I'm at a bit of a loss at the moment. Where should I go from here? I've read from a different thread about the note 3 that sometimes you have to flash the .pit file again in order to nuke the partitions, but so far I haven't been able to find one I feel comfortable enough to try.

note 4 SM-N910A black screen with blue notification light after samsung boot

Hi,
i'm having some trouble with my note 4. so i recived the note from a friend and she told me what was the problem. the problem is that she would turn it off then when she trys to attempt to turn it back on it will show the samsmung boot screen then all black with the blue and white(maby baby blue, i cant tell exacly)and sometimes boots a 2nd or 3rd time. leave it like that and the phone would start getting hot. so i used odin and installed a freash BL, CP, and CSC. then i left the phone withpout the battery for about 10 minute's then i put the battery back on and turned it on. it worked! but after a while i accidentaly turned it off. the same problem was back(i dont know if this is important but when ever u tryed to update the software it would alway's fail). so i thought why dont i just install freash clean OS and i whont have to face this problem again. i installed android 5.0.1 and it did not work, this time the blue adn white notification light was not on. so i installed it again but only the BL. the light was back. please help me on what to do or give me a link to a legitament clean OS. i've tryed every trick! pull out the battery then press and hold the power button to drain out the ramining power and leave the phone for about 10 min. try to go in recovery mode(when i try to do this, it goes all black also), install a clean freash OS, ECT. im running out of options! what should i do! it cant be the hardware because everything was working fine. it cant be the screen because i've personally seen the screen work perfectly fine, plus the samung boot logo( the "samsung galaxy note 4 powered by android" boot). i dont know what to do!
Reboot into download mode and see what firmware is on it. then download the latest MM 6.0.1 firmware and flash it with odin. Depending on the model, the BL may be locked to prevent flashing older firmware. If that doesn't work you may have to flash a pit file with the firmware but that is last resort. If you can take a picture of what download mode says and post it here it would be way easy to help you fix it bro

Galaxy J500FN bricked. Last attempt before throwing it out.

Hi there,
I wanted to put Cyanogenmod on an J500FN and went straight to Odin without enabling developer options Why? Bc I am dumb.
Since Odin failed I cant even get into recovery mode. Can't enter a password. Can't do anything, really.
Normal start and Recovery Mode start result in the screen showing the Android logo and then turning yellow/green before fading to black.
Download mode is working. I tried Kies, Smart Switch, Odin. Each time it fails and a read line on the phone appears ("Mom Mode. Can't Download"). Using stock firmware from Sammobile results in the same outcome.
Download mode says:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SM-J500FN
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
FRP Lock: Off
WARRANTY VOID: 0x0
RP SWREV: S1, T1, H1 R1, A1, P1
Secure Download: Enable
MOM MODE. CAN'T DOWNLOAD (<--- Added in red each time Odin fails)
Is the phone toast?
Thanks!
1.Try doing wipe data before flashing the firmware.
2.Try flashing Stock LP firmware.
3.Try to flash using Heimdall, which doesn't have some restrictions that Odin has.
4.Nand erase all option in odin might help a bit.
5.If none of these works i guess you need to flash the device using Z3x box or jtag. Go ye visit a samsung service and hopefully they manage to fix your problem.

My bad didnt read your full post.

Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions
I have tried everything I could think of and read about. Unfortunately, there was no debrick image for the model I need.
Ultimately, after days of extensive searching and trying, I give up at this point.
Either way, great forum, and thanks again for all the comments!

I DONT KNOW which direction to go

Ok so the phone i have is/was actually a G935T, and had G935T firmware (BRC1) even though it says G935A on the board inside the phone. I tried to flash a different firmware, foolishly without turning off FRP, or turning on OEM, yeah im dumb. I ended up being stuck with the SBL error upload mode and couldnt even get back to download mode no matter how many times i tried, eventually i learned about EDL mode and took the phone apart and shorted the TP and re programmed the phone etc. and got it back to download mode.
Everything i flashed would always be successful in Odin, however nothing would ever boot past the looping S7 edge boot screen and recovery on every single firmware would also loop and ultimately give me kernel panic errors. i began to suspect that maybe i left something unplugged inside so i took it apart again and tried to keep the heat shield pressed down a bit more (since i had to open it up to access the test point) as i assembled the phone back together. No more kernel panics, but the boot looping was still present. I have tried G935T, A, P, V and U firmware and all of them do the same thing. Ive used the proper PIT files.
To make things worse, i flashed Oreo without realizing that i was putting my bootloader in handcuffs. To make things even MORE worse, i used a tool which claimed to convert an odin archive to be ADB enabled. now my device boots and says S7 edge etc, but then immediately goes to SBL error upload mode. Recovery still loops. Whats interesting though, is that since i used the converted archive, my device says exactly this in download mode:
ODIN MODE (HIGH SPEED)
PRODUCT NAME: SM-G935A
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
FRP LOCK: ON
WARRANTY VOID: 0xffffffff (0x0)
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE fffffffe
RP SWREV: B-2 (-2, -2, -2, -2, -2) K8 S8
RP SWREV: TEST DEVICE
SECURE DOWNLOAD: ENABLE
IDDQ: G(25), S(7) mA
CPU SERIAL NUM : 0X1b9cea13
Fused open loop voltage: 1030mv
RPMB PROVISIONED
Any help would be much appreciated. Its going on nearly a month now trying to get this thing to work. I dont care about warranty, i dont care about knox i just want my phone to work....i cannot find any information about test device, how to go back to system status official or how to properly reformat all partitions that effect FRP or whatever the hell is locking me out of it. Also i am now not even able to flash ANY firmware because it keeps failing saying something about aboot fused -2 and none of the firmware i have will successfully flash. Im stumped.
