Hi all
I would buy this phone and my friend is now in China and then will go to Korea.
Where better to buy? N9005 Snapdragon, Exynos or N900S N900? Chinese.
I hope that some of you advise me.
thanks
Do you know by any chance the price in different countries?

If you have LTE in your area I would recommend getting the N9005 in Korea. China doesn't offer either the N9005 or N900, they have their own variants which all lack google apps

There's a good chance of network frequency incompatibilities if you're going to use an Asian model anywhere else in the world. Not to mention the Region lock, but both can in theory be solved by flashing and rooting.
As for EU prices:
Netherlands €672
Germany €649
Belgium €649
Switzerland 749CHF/€606
(no, I have no idea why the price in the Netherlands is so ridiculously high.
Actually yes I do: It's good old-fashioned Dutch Greed.)

buy in HK or TW, there are both N9005 or N900 internatinoal version available, I paid for my N900 32gb black 468 € and I care less about warranty because the first thing when I went home is CF auto... and now very happy about the exynos version does not have region lock or knox trigger - best Galaxy till now

Good thing there's no import restrictions or costs in the EU, then. Even with shipping it's cheaper to order in another country.....
For you Americans complaining about having to pay $300, that's $1133.

Do NOT buy in China, as this will be the locked Chinese version with no play store, etc... Having said that, any phone market in China will also have the HK or international version as well (9005)... so if you're friend is smart enough to be able to identify the international version and make sure he/she doesn't buy the China version, this would be a good move. Prices for import phones in China are often quite keen, but then again this comes down to your friend's negotiating power...
I've always found Samsung stuff in Korea to be more expensive than elsewhere, and a Korean colleague of mine specifically bought his S4 in HK instead of in Korea due to this...
HK probably the best bet though. Note, reason is simply that HK has no sales tax, so is always going to be cheaper than somewhere that does... HOWEVER, some countries allow you to get tax back at the airport. For example, if you buy the phone in Germany, but you don't reside there, just show the tax receipt and the phone to the tax office at the airport and you'll get something around 15% of the price back. Note not all countries do this. China doesn't. Singapore does. HK doesn't need to. I think all of the EU does (as long as you're not an EU resident).
I personally bought my N3 in Australia a couple of weeks ago for AUD 880. I then got around 80 AUD back at the airport (have forgotten exact amount but around 80 AUD) so my actual price was 800 AUD which is 565 EUR / 773 USD. Seoul airport wanted over 1,000 USD for it. HK airport wanted around 900 USD, but note these are airport prices and this was days after launch.
never buy an android device in china, you will find that the google framework/service are all missing, btw i got my n900 in hk.

Hi there,
I am interested in buying Galaxy S7 Edge. I live in Canada, so i am not interested in buying the canadian variant. My experience with my current Galaxy S4 was horrible. No updates or anything.
If anyone knows website that can ship the Galaxy S7 Edge phone, legit website, please let me know.
I found one called clove . They have it and have the lowest price. But when I went to pre-order, it says there is a samsung region lock on. So If i give them permission, they will open the seal , insert european sim card and make a 5 minute call to region unlock it. Does the Galaxy S7 Edge have this region lock or no? Can someone please confirm?
I prefer to receive my phone factory sealed.
Thank you!

International variant? Do some research first. The exynos chip S7 will be sold all around the world except for USA and China that will have snapdragon. Canadian variant is exynos and if all your interested is in updates, that's pretty silly.

I did my research. Yes, I am aware of that . How is it silly? Explain yourself.
You thinking an international variant will get "updates" quicker than other variants. Why are updates so important? I pre-ordered a bell s7 edge. Canadian variants have warranty. Why would you risk getting an international phone with no warranty?

Canada will receive the Exynos variant which is the same as the European variant, though I'm not sure if it will be available unlocked in Canada. Wether you order from Clove or Unlocked Mobiles your phone will have to go through that process in order for it work in Canada or somewhere else. The only thing you could do to avoid having an opened phone is going to Europe and insert the SIM card and make the 5 minute phone call yourself, or maybe have a European relative do it for you. But if you skip this the phone won't accept your Canadian SIM.

So, it is safe to let Clove open it for the region lock? I saw same model as Clove on ebay, but a reputable seller, but he sells factory sealed phone. It doesn't require region unlock!
Thank you for the help! Appreciate it !
Yeah, i know Canada is getting one. But I want the updates which international variant gets. Canadian will become obsolete thanks to our lame carriers. I'm never buying any Canadian variant phone.

I have never purchased from them but I read good reviews, I'm ordering it from UnlockedMobiles. They do not state for a fact that they do the same thing as Clove but I sent them an email and they said they do it by default for shipping addresses in the US, they do exactly the same as Clove which is insert UK sim then make a 5 minute phone call. I saw some phones on ebay like that one you're telling me and besides that they're way overpriced ($100 more expensive) I honestly don't get how they can get it to work without opening the phone and doing that unless they somehow got the Global american version? dunno if that even exists. Still if you want to spend over $800 on the phone might as well wait until March 11th for B&H to make the phone available http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1225381-REG/samsung_sm_g935_32gb_slv_galaxy_s7_edge_g935.html bear in mind they will offer the Global/International variant but I don't know if it's american or something but B&H is based off NY.

Well if you look up a phone that is already available like the S6 Edge you can find lots of unlocked variants like:
S6 edge+ SM-G928G
S6 edge+ SM-G928C
S6 Edge SM-G925F
S6 Edge SM-G925I
Apparently some are unlocked and some others are Region specific.
Try Odin
ust a quick suggestion. You can use Odin to flash an official firmware of another region as long as it's the same hardware. This doesn't trip Knox or count as root as you're using official Samsung firmware. That way, you could buy a Canadian phone, then flash there international firmware. If there's a problem flash back the Canadian firmware and retain your warranty. Try it with your s4
I got my hands on a Sm-G935F at chrismas time, I was hoping this would be a great layover until the new s8 comes out. It's unlocked and I'm using it on Bell but reception is horrible. The S7 i had before that I handed down to my wife had way better reception. There is no Canadian firmware for the SM-G935F that I can find. Any suggestions to help make it better.
I want to get the H850 European version looks to be my best option for a unlocked boot-loader and unlocked carrier phone as all the H830 G5's in my area are still locked to T-Mobile and Titan color H830 seem to be non existent.
So I check on eBay and found a H850 but after contacting the seller and asking if it is the European version and finding out it is a US version?, I am back on the hunt...
So how does one find a H850 European version to purchase here in the US?
I would recommend taking a look at Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.de to check if they ship to the US, as if they do, you can order the phone there and this also means that you'll definitely receive an unlocked European version of the phone.
My suggestion being an owner of an H850 is to pass on this device for now and possibly look into the Note 7 or LG V20 once it's released. Aside from the hardware being great there are really no projects being seriously headed right now. CM13 is a long way off on account of camera drivers and system framework issues and the modified stock roms really have no performance value since they are basically just stock with a few app changes here and there. There's also no kernels with overclock or other features. I wish I had looked into this more since rooting with Xposed is really the only software benefit I've managed to muster. I should've just opted for the T-Mobile variant since they have root and then I wouldn't have overpaid $200 for the 850 (purchased for $600, ouch).
if u know someone in the uk the EE store sells the G5 at a bargain price of £399 / $520.
you would need to purchase a £10 top up voucher then register and then use that credit to pay the £8.99 unlock code to get the phone unlocked for any sim.
Short of buying a Chinese import with lacklustre skinned software and bad support (LeEco, ZTE, etc) this is a bargain for a 2016 flagship.
Thanks for all the replies. I am still looking for a H830 Titan Unlocked LG G5 but they seem to be a rare one for some reason....
The search continues...
Ended up getting a new H830 already unlocked for $400 in Silver. Was hoping for Titan but silver will do.
Hello,
i would like to get myself the G6.
But i'm not sure wether to get the H870 (European model) or the DS model?
You could count the Pros and Cons, but its more a decision of wether to root and use custom ROMs or not?
What about updates/upgrades?
Just share your opinions to help me decide! :fingers-crossed:
PS:
I don't use/need VoLTE.

It depends on what you need...
Spoiler
H870 pros:
- Updates
- Bootloader Unlock: Possible
H870DS pros:
- Quad Dac
- 64GB of internal memory
- Dual Sim
So, if you need root or like modding in general go for an European H870, if not, go for the H870DS, if you have no interests in both pros go for the one which cost less.
My vote is for H870, don't need 32GB since i don't use heavy apps and have tons of storage on my pc and use a 64GB Microsd, also don't need QuadDac or the second sim.

It's better not, the possibility of bricking are very high, also what's the point of doing this? It wouldn't allow the bootloader unlock if that was your thinking, that is an IMEI limited thing
Thank you for your answer

In any case I wouldn't advise that, after all the H870 has 32GB only, no dual SIM and no quad dac, so even if you don't brick the phone you would have a software limited phone.
I concur. I think it's a very bad idea, not sure you could even flash it anyways. You'll get your own updates in time, why bother about that?
I got the H870, because of the unlocked bootloader
There is no reason at all to get the European version unless you really need to unlock your bootloader. The DS version is superior. I've had both. Sold the European version and got the DS and could not be happier about it. This also send signals to LG for their region crap.
The main reason to buy a h870 instead of h870ds, if you're living in Europe, is the guarantee or a lack of it on h870ds. Spending £300 or more without any guarantee is gambling.
The sellers are putting in various forms of warranties on the H870DS, most of them offering a year of "seller's warranty". Considering the price of purchase, I'd say it's pretty good. You'll probably run into less problem returning it to a seller on eBay, who wouldn't want to risk getting negative feedback, than talking to LG customer support, which in some cases seem that they couldn't care less about your faulty phone.
The Ebay sellers are located in HKG, e.g. in guarantee case you or he have/has to send it for repair to HKG. 2-4 weeks without smartphone. EBay 12 months, EU 24 months guarantee, etc...

The sellers are shipping from Ireland or the UK, and if I were ever to return it over warranty issues, that's where I'd send it.
Gr8 idea, you send to Irland, UK, France or wherever. Your dealer ships it to HKG for repair = 2-4 weeks without your phone.

Yes, I got it from ebay, because I didn't trust the shady cheap websites. Others have successfully ordered from the shady websites, so you can give it a try if you're brave enough: eglobalcentral. Although I don't see the H870 model at them right now.

Well, if you send your faulty phone to LG, you can rest assure that it'll take some time to get it back as well, since LG doesn't do any repairs themselves. Depending on the issue, the eBay seller might send you a new phone instead of shipping it to Hong Kong. As I've said before, the eBay sellers are far more sensitive to negative feedback than LG, and more commonly known to try to satisfy their buyers.
As much as I'd love to have 64 gigs and dual sim, I spent €40 extra to get the 32 gig single sim, just to be able to unlock the bootloader.
I wouldn't hesitate a second to order with eglobal to get the DS if I felt I didn't need root access.
IMO the price difference compensates for not having warranty so the extra storage and dual sim make it a no brainer.
But yeah, bought the EU version anyway.

Why do you want the international version. I see you are coming from an Nexus 5. The international version does not have wireless charging if that is important.
