Try after 3 days. It takes 3 days time to bind your device to your account.

Hi. Did you manage to unlock your device after the stated 52 hours?
Just to answer my own question, in case someone is searching, yes it will unlock after the stated 72 hours (or whatever hours is stated in Mi-unlock-tool) :good:

Hey guys, almost after 2 weeks of getting approval of unlocking bootloader, finally i was successfull today morning. Here's the steps i did:
Enable Find device option in mi account on your phone first and your phone must be connected to internet
1.Go to i.mi.com in pc/laptop
2.sign-in with your phone number registered to Mi and password
3.Again there will be sign in option, do it as above, it will send otp to your registered mobile number
4.input that and click on connected and check whether device is showing online. leave it as it is.
5.Now in phone, enable usb debugging and oem unlock from developer options and poweroff
6.hold volume down+power, it will boot in fastboot mode.
7.Now open MiFlashtool (run as administrator) and login using mobile number and password
8.Now connect your phone to pc/laptop, the unlock option will be active now.
9.Click unlock, that's it! no more 50% error
Hope this works for all who are still unable to unlock bootloader
BTW, i was on MIUI 8 Global stable rom while unlocking!
How long did it take to get approval? I just applied yesterday.

I advise you to do not making any changes on your devices and mi account. so the device information would be the same as on their database.

I've been logging for 2 weeks, got the 15 days logging in message. Tried to get the unlock bootloader code from http://emui.huawei.com/en using the same login as I use in my phone. Got the error message:
"The Huawei ID used to apply for the unlock code has not been used on the device for more than 14 days."
Any ideas on how to fix this?
You dont need to use that method. There are instant methods like the one I used. It was on a youtube video linked somewhere in the forum I think. Search.

I was able to unlock using the emui website straight away.
Logically, I'd suggest the following:
Sign out of your EMUI account
Try again on the site
Create a new account but don't sign in on your phone
Try to get code on site with new account
Sign in on the new account on your phone

No but if you log in with Facebook on the website and try doing the bootloader unlock there, it might work - it worked for me.
Every procedure that I do gets me to the 14 day message, impossible to unlock bootloader here...
There is 2 ways to get the unlock code here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/p8lite/help/code-to-unlock-bootloader-t3441273/
I used the first method to get unlock code for many devices and it's working all the time
I had the issue that my Huawei id with Europe number didnt get acceptet. I used Chrome to do it. Then i tried with Edge (win10 Browser from Microsoft) and that worked to Login.
And i hadnt this 14 Day prompt.

Nope. So I got the phone. Created the miui profile, saw the Chinese apps and decided to find a way to get ride of them. Found out 2 days later that I need to unlock, applied for unlocking. 3 days later got permission. 2h later unlocked via unlocking tool. This was 8 months ago
Now I've noticed that you need to enable oem unlocking in the dev options, before going into fastboot to unlock
But one more thing comes, that I did and that's fully entering all the info on my profile (security questions etc)
And yes my miui account is bound to this phone, when I install miui it doesn't even ask for a account just a password
Finally unlocked it today.

Did anything special? And how much days it take?? And u were trying daily?
Have been reading a lot about this and have tried every method explained. My conclusion is, it's based on luck. XIOMI screwed the b/l unlocking method like many things and you need to be lucky to smoothly unlock it.
I assume you have already followed every single rule like waiting for some days before trying and connecting the phone and unlocking tool with same account, disabling lock screens or that find device thing they say and many others with no luck.
I believe since redmi 3s is a dual sim so if you are using another simcard your best bet is to try making a new account with that number and try the whole process again. About waiting... well, many have been waiting for months, so don't much from waiting and retrying luck.
Hopefully we will get some unofficial unblocking method someday, like note 3 has.

Please tell how you were able to unlock. Were you on global stable? Which trick worked for you?
I have a Special Edition (pro prime 152mm) with the Special Edition Dev ROM.
I got the unlock approval 8 days ago, I can locate my device using MI account but the binding doesn't work. (Settings>Additional settings>Developer Options>Mi Unlock Status>Add account and device) Please retry within 1 or 2 minutes again and again and again...
I tried the tool in version 1.0.1225.2, 1.1.03171.1 and last 2.2.406.5.
Still no binding possible.
I have got my permission 1 day before
it is still not unlocking

1 day before? Then wait a week before trying to bind device and unlock your bootloader.
My BL is not unlocking as the account is not binding in the dev setting>unlock status and therefore unlocking stops at 99%.
If anyone facing the error 86012 had later unlocked their BL later, please tell us clearly what did you do. "I just need to know that is there someone who had unlocked without binding their account."

Yeah, for real, I completely flipped when Xiaomi put a bootloader wait period on one of my devices. I caused as much a fuss as I could, emailed Xiaomi's support in several regions and researched extensively.
There's literally nothing you can do. Xiaomi has complete control over bootloader unlock authorization. As far as I'm aware there's no exploits and even staff at Xiaomi can't/won't override it.
Rest assured when that timer hits 0 you're good to go. Though for now, use the device as normal or switch it off and place it in a drawer for a couple of weeks if it bugs you too much. Just whatever you do, don't reflash it or attempt to change the account on the device; the timer will reset.
Once it's unlocked, avoid relocking it. There's no advantage to relocking the device when flashing images, it won't do a thing.
If you use MiFlash tool, it's worthwhile deleting the scripts suffixed with "lock" in the update folder when doing a fastboot flash from a PC (flash_all_lock.bat and flash_all_lock.sh, you don't want to go near flash_factory.sh/bat either - I'm confused as to why Xiaomi even includes that file in their update zips).
Always use flash_all.bat / flash_all.sh. Bonus tip: edit both files with notepad and remove the line which restarts the device (fastboot reboot is the line if I remember correctly). This way you can skip booting into MIUI and immediately push a custom recovery using fastboot boot C:/path/recovery.img (or fastboot flash recovery recovery.img, boot is temporary).
Ps. Be sure to overwrite that "device unlocked" boot image if you're feeling meticulous.
actually you can bypass it but the solution is not free and very xpensive
My friend has redmi note 5 and for unlock waiting I read somewhere that if you use some old version of Mi tool it would skip the waiting and it did. Is there similar solution for redmi note 7?

Mine says 178 hours....wow...
When i had the MIX3 it only asks for 72 hours...
Had to wait over a week
1 Week for me. Start at 168 hrs. Mi 9T Global.
7 Days
What`s the reason for waiting so long?
Xiaomi build phones very cheaply and make money through services.
Resellers buy Xiaomi phones and flash their own apps and adware.
The waiting period is to make it harder for resellers to eat up Xiaomi's profits.

Is there a way to unlock the bootloader with adb commands in fastboot mode? Or is it absolutely necessary that Xiaomi gives a permission?

I have to wait 157 hours for the unlock! This is ridiculous, is it possible to cheat it?

Where do you see the timer? I started to check out how to unlock and flash EU-Rom today and I can unlock immediately. Did I miss something?
- I registered/recovered my mi account.
- Added device (developer mode and so on...)

Edit: Ah I see. Friend of mine has also the timer, maybe it has something to do with the account. I had an account for some home automation stuff

Did you already flash a ROM or TWRP to make sure it's unlocked?
For me it shows the timer when I try to unlock, it goes to 99% and then shows how many hours are left.
Started at 168h I think, now there's about 40 left.

Yes, I flashed TWRP unofficial 3.3.1. I wanted to flash xiaomi.eu_multi_HMK20MI9T_V10.3.12.0.PFJCNXM_v10-9.zip because I am on global rom but I am curious about the "CN" in the name. I thought CN=China, MI=Gobal and EU/EEA=EU
Yesterday i applied for bootloader unlock it says 168 hrs.
dont worry about the CN.
i have flashed that rom on my mi9t, no problem.
Two weeks. **** Xiaomi.
Still waiting......
