Hey there guys hope you all are doing great, so basically my aunt had some problem with her mobile data, someone suggested her to hard reset the device so she youtubed it and successfully hard reset her device but UNFORTUNATELY, she doesn't remember the last email and the password she logged in the device with.
Could anyone of you please tell me how to sort it out so i can get some peace [emoji37]
She just cant stop asking me if it got fixed or not.

Search on Youtube, it worked for me !
I had this issue as well. I bought a used phone but it was FRP protected. The only way ourmt was calling up the guy and asking him to log in. FRP is present in place to prevent misuse. And while various YouTube videos will show you bypassing it, Samsung has been repeatedly patching it.
From what I can understand, a sure shot way would be to install a different ROM on it. However with no custom recovery, maybe that's a wee bit more difficult. You could try to use Odin to re-flash a stock ROM. Let us know if this works.

I have just bought a Samsung galaxy s5 from a for sale site. Seemed fully legitimate. Get home and try setting it up and I'm stuck on the screen that reads " this device I'd locked because of an abnormal factory reset. Sign in to the Samsung account you have already signed in to on this device to confirm it belongs to you. "
I do not know this information. And now have no way of getting the information off the owner. I have tried a couple of methods to bypass this And watched numerous videos on YouTube.
Some tutorials to remove it tell me to press "forgotten your ID or password?" Did that. Put my own samsung account. Entered the captcha and then went to the next screen. In the videos they tell you to them press my email which is highlighted in blue and then it takes you to the Web and it carries on from there. However it does not let you press the email anymore. It isn't a link or anything.
Please can someone give me some advice or help! Welcome any questions or anything. Thanks very much. Jordan.
Go in recovery and wipe data/factory reset. If not works I would suggest you to flash a new firmware through Odin.

thanks for reply
Hi. Thanks for the reply. I have tried the factory reset and all that on recovery mode.
I am not the best expert on rooting or rooting. So any advice would be kuchly appreciated as I currently have no phone!! Thanks. Jordan
Seems you have bought a used S5 right ?
Are you sure this is not a lost os stolen device
As you describe de situation i`m thinking on the option Reactivation Lock o security tab.
If the old owner let this option active you will have a hard time trying to use the phone without the samsung account information.
Very much sounds like a stolen device I take it you didn't take any ID from the seller?
Might be expensive learning curve.
This is driving me CRAZY!!!!!
I have installed a custom ROM (XtreStoLite) it has worked amazing, it was my first ever time to install a custom ROM so obviously I was having a good play around with all the tweaks etc, to where it started to slow my phone down a hell of a lot, I decided to do a fresh install of the custom ROM and everything went fine, it was until I was setting up my phone (logging in to google etc) and it asked me for the option of enabling "Reactivation lock", for SOME reason I agreed to it, knowing I shouldn't!!
anyway, this is where it all went abit wrong, I got stuck in a boot loop with the error "custom binary blocked by reactivation lock", after searching the whole internet I found the Odin "error" solution to gain access to my phone again.
My problem is, I don't seem to have an option in Settings > Security to turn off Reactivation Lock, it seems to be there in the search bar of settings, and it is checked but when I try to uncheck it, it takes me straight to the Security settings again.
I need to be able to disable option as I will not be able to access recovery mode otherwise, do you guys have any idea what I could possibly do? I have acess to a root explorer so I may be able to changed some values etc but I wouldn't know where to start to do that!!
Please guys, I'm struggling without my phone and my head feels like it will explode!!!
did you get anywhere with this? Having the same problem myself
I have the same issue, after having installed the same Rom. Now what?
It prevents me from recovery :/
Anyone already any ideas?
Downgrade to a stock KitKat ROM, log in with all accounts, disable reactivation lock > flash whatever you want after that, remember not to enable reactivation lock next time
Sorry to resurrect an old post, I managed to fix it and forgot the post the solution. quite easily actually.
Simply log onto your account via Samsung's web page and delete your account. This will then result to your lock being removed from the account and your phone being free of any errors! You might have to re-flash but it will fix any problems.

I'm having the same problem, I've deleted my Samsung account and reflashed a stock Rom but it just comes up asking me to enter my Samsung account details and I can't get any further than this screen.
Anything else I can try?

i can enter my phone , but i dont want to see this s... and im curiouse if i delete my account and it asks me again to sign in with the account what to do then?
If you delete your account, it'll ask you to sign in anyway. You just have to remake that account.

Guys im about to freak out, I just got a phone en ebay that is locked, i knew that it was locked but I was not expecting this type of lock that I needed the original samsung account to unlock it, even after factory reset!!!
I have tried different options with odin but not of them worked, I also saw some videos in youtube to bypass this screen but they do not work know because if I press the button of "forgot your ID or password" it says that I need to go to account.samsung.com.
I cannot access to the phone to see what version of android is this...
Please there has to be a way!!!
many thanks
Nobody????
ok guys iI may have an answer, I need to downgrade to 4.4 from G900VVZW2BOK3_VZW, how can I do this??? somebody please help!!!!
There is no downgrading from ok3
So you tried getting the stock OK3 firmware (didn't know this existed, we have OG5) and flashing with ODIN in Download mode?
https://samsung-firmware.org/download/Samsung GALAXY S5/769o/VZW/G900VVRU2BOK3/G900VVZW2BOK3/
As ldevereaux said, as of OE1 Verizon has made the phone non-rootable (and thus no custom recoveries) and non-downgradable, so you will need to keep working on the current version your phone has on it.
Guys, I was able to open chrome in the phone so I can access nearly anything on the phone but is still locked, I go to uncheck the reactivation lock but when I do that it activates again by it self... how can I do this permanently! i can install any app, go anywhere on the phone, but it still locked!!! If i shut it down i wont be able to access again.
Sounds like you'll need to contact the seller to get the password.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52467489&postcount=5
do you guys think he could put it into download mode and flash the stock stuff so he could atleast get the passcode off of the phone?
the seller doesn't have the password either
That sounds fishy to me. They have to use the Samsung software to remotely lock the bootloader, which requires them accessing their Kies account that they created. Hate to say it, but I think you bought a stolen phone.
well yeah it seems it is stolen, i got it in ebay and the seller said he got it locked from another person..... I wasn't expecting this kind of lock.. never had a samsung before...nothing I can do... i will keep trying I already spent my money on this...
try flashing the original stock firmware and everything from odin and it should be just like a factory reset and itll get the passcode off
Already did that.. was the same... keeps requesting the stupid passcode
So my girlfriend and I are trying to wipe my old S5 so that she'll be able to use it as a temp phone untill she is able to get her hands on a new one. I flashed a stock rom using Odin with the hope that it would allow me to set the phone up as new and get around the reactivation lock issue. However it is still there after entering our Wifi info on the setup screens. I have my old samsung account email used on this device as well as the password, I can access my account via samsungs account website however when ever i try to log in it says "processing failed". I've seen videos of people using OTG cables to work around this but as I don't have access to one I was hoping you guys could help me out with a functioning work around. Really not looking to send this phone back to Samsung so they can do something on their computers I know i can do right from here. Thanks very much for any Help you guys can provide, I appreciate you taking the time to read this post and help me out.
Odin back to stock package including BL and everything. Try a re-partition too

If no try Samsung Kies
Alternatively try

I've been trying for a long time to get OEM unlock with the Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro SM-J530 G variant. I've seen people unlocking the BL in the J730G, same exynos chip.
Here is what I have tried so far:
All date/time tricks
Factory reset
Flash Stock ROM
Waited 7 days
My last attempt made me give up and ask for help here... I completely flashed the most recent stock rom, wiped everything using the CSC file not the CSC-HOME, I did the start setup logging into samsung account and google account, after completing the start setup I inserted the SIM card otherwise that stupid start setup would consume 4G costing me $$$.
Waited for 168 hours with the device always on, and still no OEM UNLOCK, I mean what else can I do... there's almost nothing about this problem with this device here on XDA... I'm hoping someone with a SM-J530G and that had OEM Unlock could tell me what was the process to enable this option. Or what are my options here? Thx
And by the way, I've seen something called Miracle Box, but I dont want to use it since it does not look very legal, I think its meant for FRP bypass. I'm just an android user trying to root my personal device e.e
I'm having the same problem, I'm tired of this, never buying Samsung again. I tried all the things I searched on the internet for hours and nothing works, I do not want to wait 7 days, if you find a method of bypassing that actually works, please do tell me, I will do the same if I find one.
I'm so pissed.
I have good news for you my friend, and for everyone that is reading this. I tried many and more times the same procedure changing small things. I will try to write it out as best as I can so I can help some fellow buddies who've got the same problem.
1 - (As I had already everything backed up and got nothing to lose) Factory Format the device (I did it from the bootloader), hell, I even also cleared cache just for god's sake.
2 - Proceed to initiate Android, DON'T sign-in to any account (nor Samsung nor Google), don't change the date during installation, finish set-up.
3 - DON'T enable Developer's Mode yet. Change the date, I've set it for a month back just to be damn sure (disable automatic date-set). Now go to the Software Updates tab and disable auto-updates and manually check for updates, once done, re-boot.
4 - Once rebooted enable auto-date (that should correct the old date and replace it with the actual one) and re-do the manual check.
5 - Re-boot and enable Developer's Mode and hopefully, for the love of Ragnar Lothbrok, OEM Unlock should be there. I hope it is for all of you.
Hope it helped, good luck buddy/buddies!

That is awesome! I'm going to try it tomorrow, I've been using the device doing my third 168 hours. If it fails again I will repeat everything like you did.
Thank you!!

Another 168 hours wasted and I followed the trick above, it does not work it was patched with the august 2018 security patch, my device is running with the november 2018 security patch.
My frustration is beyond what I expected to experience with this device... I guess most people were able to activate this thing except me >.<
Enlighten me
When you keep it for 168 hours does the WiFi have to be on or is that not necessary

I tested with wifi always on and logged to google and samsung account so it could sync whatever it had to sync, still no success. I have no idea on how to meet the requirements to unlock the BL on this phone

Is their any other method for 2019.am at my wits end
OK I tried something and it worked to unlock the oem.
Have a Samsung account, then go to find my mobile website and press unlock.it did the trick for me.hipw it helps you as well
Firstly, i use miracle box and then i use samsung tools pro to "reboot" my device because when you unlock the bootloader there is a fail on the room.
here you have a video which could help you.
