I just became aware of this tool so I have yet to utilize it, but I am very familiar with current, official firmware as provided by Oppo.
Oppo's .ozip format is merely an encrypted archive that I have never penetrated. The content of the OP suggests that a Linux solution for extracting official Oppo firmware is finally available. :good:

didn't work! I get error message --- buffer overflow detected: ./OppoDecrypt terminated.
I typed ./OppoDecrypt CPH1707EX_11_OTA_0070.ozip -r11 on Ubuntu terminal.
Oppo R11

I downloaded the R11 ozip file here
http://www.oppo.com/au/downloads/

hello i actually followed what said in the guide and worked fine, now i have an oppo r9s plus chinese version , and i opened the rom thanks to oppodecrypt and than i made the rom unpack , actually i would like to use the rom pubblished in singapore website wich should be coloros 3.0i international , but to do this i need to find where the modem files are in the chinese rom and copy and replace the one in the singapore rom .
I am not an expert in that anyone can tell me :
1 where i will find the files
2 if i repack the rom and with a tool i add the signature can i hope to re encrypt the rom and flash without twrp?
3 in case i need to use twrp how to repack correctly the rom to be flashed?
4 did i forgot to change other vaulues in the rom to make it work?
thanks to everyone for the precious help, i love xda is source of good information.

I also managed to decrypt ozip for r9s and A77 but it didn;t work on R11.
Actually have you tried to unpack the zip file? if you have, you will realize the essential file system.new.dat couldn't get extracted - you will get an error message.
Regarding your questions below.
(1) Chinese forum. But you won;t be able to replace the modem.
(2)even if you can repack, it will fail the signature verification and can't proceed with installtion if you flash thru' official recovery/
(3) can't repack that way, you've to use msmdownload tool
(4)don't mess around without knowing what you are doing, otherwise you will brick your oppo.

I have to agree on the R9S Plus, it actually decrypts, but when you try to extract the zip file, the system.new.dat file is corrupted.

Ok bud sure.
Here are my plans
1) Make a stable kernel.
2) Create a tree stable to build CWM/TWRP
3) bringup a CAF kernel for this device(thats hard)
BTW is there any different variant of 2GB/3GB?
And it is good to a separate partition for recovery which makes things easy a bit.

Yes there are two variants one with 2GB RAM 16GB storage and other one 3GB RAM with 32GB storage
the 16gb/2gb and 32gb/3gb are different SOC's..they each have to be built with their own config and own ramdisk..
@GTARaja
aside from the boot.img you must also include the modules(.ko files) that was compiled together with it so that it boots..it might help..i already have the barebones for TWRP setup..will build on my free time..

[GUIDE] Flashing XA Ultra with Latest Flashtool (Where FSC is need)

The Lateste flashtool requires the right fsc script in order to flash something. This script is not available by default in Flashtool and let us use the 0.9.18.6 version buggy as f**k. I was getting "Error while processing whatever.sin" over and over.
Flashing with the 0.23 results in "FSC script is mandatory, Aborting flash". I don't know if this works with every firmware and every model of XA Ultra and I'm not responsive if something bad happens to your device. I'm just saying that I wanted to downgrade my .109 to .111 (service unit bla bla bla in XperiFirm) and what was getting tons of errors.
This is what I did in order to simulate a FSC script:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
- Copy F32XX to .flashtool/mydevices/
- Return to devices and go to F31XX
- Copy the "default.fsc" to the F32XX directory in "mydevices"
Now rename this FSC script following your model and your firmware you want to flash.
Now open the latest flashtool and try to flash normally the firmware you want, when it asks if you want to use the FSC script, choose yes then wait for it to finish.
I do not guarantee it'll work or whatever, I'm just saying it worked to recover a Soft Bricked F3212 to .111 and got it rooted with xposed, with fully working front camera !
Edit : I don't know why the pictures are missing, please see the album here : https://imgur.com/a/bHrmT
I try tomorrow...thanx post! F3216
Thanks a lot. I've been stuck for weeks due to FSC script error. I've tried your method on F3212 and confirm that it works
Thank you @Yooooomi for your guide and I hope it will avoid bricked Ultra after flashing firmware :good:
Thanks for posting this guide

Okay... I could use something like this but, just 2 questions.
1) Will the results from the Emulator also reflect those results from a TWRP Recovery?
2) For the CWM that this Emulator is based upon, are the results based upon for the last known release version or for all release versions?
Thanks!

So could this be used to flash ROMs onto an unrootable device? Not "unrootable", but USB debugging doesn't work on it so I can't root it but there are ROMs for it

Great work as alawys.
I have idea on my mind several months ago!
Can you make twrp theme emulator so we can test themes on the run.
Or you can make this open source so I can make it my self.
Very nice. If the ability to emulate aroma installers could be added it would be really cool.
@Ricky Divjakovski , does this support the legacy environment? Like using update-binary? Shell?
BTW: works starts in Ubuntu 16.04 with mono.
But if these created subdirs with backslashes will really work? IDK
Hello there, just noob question, I used it with a stock ROM with supersu and dualrecovery ( I have stock z1 compact ) and this is what I get, why that errors ?
http://imgur.com/a/BmSNw
VERY GOOD , but it doesn't ''like'' magisk
could this be fixed or bypassed somehow, so be able to continue flashing and reach to the end ?

at the moment it only checks if the script exists via "run_program" and parsing the first arguement to the program that then checks if the file exists, if it doesnt it throws a possible error, shell support will eventually be added, but for now the basics

almost all the latest roms in Samsung galaxy Note 2 these days, include magisk as default root method.
This is a second zip inside the rom zip, which as I understood creates that error

if you want to install via fastboot, you take recovery img in zip, then you install again .Zip, because there is a package needed inside .Zip
Working very well. Thank you much!! Best recovery for sure!

Hi @dohasaizo
Thanks for posting this. The name on the file from the Google drive link is '20191109-1454-OFFICIAL', but this version is not available on the pitchblack official sourceforge download page -
https://sourceforge.net/projects/pitchblack-twrp/files/platina/
Could I ask you where this version is from?

Ok, great. Thanks for your time building it, I'll give it a go. Make you could tag the build with name to separate it from the pitchblack's builds and get credit for yourself?

I look forward to trying it.
I was only thinking with the name, as you add OFFICIAL on the build filename it looks like a build by pitchblack group.
just installed 1109 build, first recovery with decrypt and touchscreen working on my mi8 lite thanks @dohasaizo

I think when you build it, it just automatically names the output file to OFFICIAL. I could be wrong, but I have had this happen myself, but not with PBR, which I have never attempted to build. There is suppose to be a new official build coming, but I would not hold my breath. Keep up the good work @dohasaizo.

You are right, because of the configuration in the device tree I added PB_OFFICIAL: = true ??

^- We are talking about this annoying warning
Someone asked for that on this forum, someone told this is impossible - so I did that.
It replaces aboot with the one that doesn't display this annoying warning, enjoy
Download flashable zip
Flash it
Enjoy!

This is wonderful, great work bro
I suggest to be carefull with this zip - it hard bricked my device (twrp or system was not able to boot, I had to revert the system to stock Android through fastboot, then install back custom rom)
Finally it was my decision. I take responsibility.
Best regards,
Bartłomiej.
Worked for me too
Work like a charm, i juste replace both abl_a and abl_b file in dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/ with your file and set permission to 777
Thanks a lots

Will this brick your phone if you are using a custom rom? Or do you have to be using stock Android?

Use a custom ROM, that's the only option for us.
