I got my lg G4 h815T with H815t10H installed on it, few days back.
OTA and LG Bridge
Checked OTA update and it stated that device is updated. But LG Bridge showed H815T20D is available. So i started the update process. But it stopped with an error at 80% approx. It gave a retry option.
But the error persisted.
LgUP
Then i downloaded the H815T20D manually and tried LGUP. It gives
Error code:0x2000, TOT antirollback version is smaller than device version

Click to collapse
Then i downloaded H815T10H, thinking may be if this gets flashed then i may flash 20D. But it still gives the same error.
LGFlashTOOL2014
Then i tried flashing H815T10H using LGFlashTOOL2014 . It started the update process (going into LG User support tool). Completed 100%.
Phone restarted and BLANK. no nothing. no life.
QFIL
I then used qualcomm 9008 method and flashed 991 recovery.

Sounds like you may not actually have an H815 but maybe a Sprint or Verizon or other mode.

Did you check your IMEI online to see if it shows the same model as well?
Only real way is to take the phone apart.

Here is IMEI report, it says LGH815T.
New thing is operator is OPTUS while i got carrier free. May be Optus rom will work. Lets try it.
Update
====================================
I already have tried H815T20d_00_0120.kdz for OPTUS H815T same error given by LGUP i.e. TOT antirollback version is smaller than device.
Infact this was the rom downloaded by LgBridge.
Any other suggestions.
Since you have already flashed the sprint firehose file with QFIL you may want to check out the thread by @steadfasterX below. He is working on a BL unlock which may be able to revive your phone to some sort of working order but has some limitations as it is still in testing.

Alright opened my mobile and surprise is that mainboard is EAZ66585501_H810_MAIN_1.0
so it is H810 not a H815t and surely a refurb
Now the question is how to flash a H810 rom.
currently it can be restored in bulk mode using Ls991 recovery, then if i apply tot method to flash H810 tot it gives an error saying "991 cross to 810".
Please suggest.

Please remove your imei info from your post. Its not good to expose that.
Your serial looks odd by the way.. Usually it starts with 5xx, 6xx or 7xx.. So I assume it is the 665
Try this:
Pull out battery disconnect USB cable to your pc.
Insert battery and wait 5 sec. Then press vol down and while keeping it pressed plugin the USB cable to the pc. After 10 sec latest you hopefully see the fastboot screen.
If not :
Do you have Linux or a live cd like FWUL?
What I currently try to find out is if you're screwed or not. That means when you have used the qfil method it is likely happened that your device now is converted to a ls991 because of the qfil files you flashed!!!!
That's why I warn everywhere to not use the qfil method until you know about the results.
Let us know how it goes.

lg g2 critical error
I have done a flash to my g2 32gb d802 and it suddenly entered into critical error not going into any of thefastboot mode or download mode even though it is giving me options.....please any one help me out to get my phone back to normal ........
PM me if you guys need help.
I had the exactly same problem, and I had to go to afterservice center to repair. Engineer told he would wipe everything and install new rom. but He failed to write rom so he simply changed mainboard.
At first I had thought about open my g2 and makes it go into qualcomm download mode by short-circuit.
the reason I didn't was my warranty was still available.
I tried every method to make it boot into recovery or download mode but I failed. In my opinion, you may try short-circuit method for last solution. In this situation, even linux doesn't mount rom's storage section. Only if you can make G2 recognized in Linux, G2 will revive.
good luck.

The best way to go if you do not have a warranty is to short circuit the board and get into Qualcomm ... 9006 mode. However, when you get the demigod error plug in you usb and click up and it should start download mode even though it doesn't show it.

No, it doesn't. I try to use flashtool but it doesn't recognize the phone. No download mode in any method I tried
I got into this error after I had previously recovered into qhs_usb9006_bulk mode from a hard bricked D801, by shorting the capacitors on the main board. After entering qhs_usb9006, I used srk tools 2.1 for my phone, and after they finished, I tried entering download mode, only to get into this error. I really don't know what it is to say about this. Everything turned wrong with this phone, it went from simply failing a .kdz, to stock .tot, to hard brick, and now to this error, whereas it should've just enter the download mode, as for the 99,99% of the others. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks.
L.E. I shorted the capacitors again (the one i the middle, like I did the first time, when i got into 9006 mode. 5000 and 5004 didn't work for some reason). This time I got into dload mode, which is 9008. I'll try to recover the phone from here, with this method:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/fix-unbrick-lg-g2-stuck-qualcomm-hs-usb-t2933830
i had this problem while trying to return to stock. Fixed it by following this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/lg-g2-unbrickable-fix-real-hard-brick-t2904404 . it needs some hardware tampering though. i tried and tried but i cant flash the phone any other way. the way i understand this is due to bootloader being corrupt.
I installed autorec from playstore solved all the problems
Than you! autorec worked for me too
Can someone post a KK baseband for D801 (T-Mobile)? I'm on D80120a software version with unknown IMEI and baseband (the phone is a D801 refurbished into D802, I more than hardbricked it by flashing wrong .kdz, got it recovered through shorting pins, 9008 mode, got download mode, D80120a stock, root, twrp, after a very long and painful process of about 1 month). Now I have to make use of QPST, but I have to obtain a valid baseband first. Of all links I've stumbled upon, only 5% or less of them are still working, so I only have one flashable modem, in twrp recovery, which corresponds to D801 jb version.
http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G2/G2_modems
cloudyfa kk_baseband_D801 only make my phone restarts like crazy.
I'm simply stuck and pray for some devine help.
Thank you.
Weird enough, I flashed a canadian modem and I got both baseband and IMEI. Why did I do that in the first place? Because I remembered that before all these things happened to my phone, the baseband was M8974A-AAAANAZM-1.0.190082, which corresponds to D803. So I said to myself what can happen by flashing the wrong modem? Boot loop, easily fixable with the phone in it's current state. But again, after 1 month of trouble with the phone, I'm back to what exactly started it in the first place: phone seem to work OK but it has 2 huge problems: WiFi extremely weak (2 meters away and a wall or 5 meters away and no wall a and I lose the signal in both cases; the 2nd is wit the GPS - 20-30 meters error). No idea how should I adapt the radio to Europe region (by keeping the canadian one and change the settings, if it's even possible/fixable this way or if this even does make any sense).
I had to do a hard brick fix to get it into the QSUSB mode to flash TOT.
Have you tried using LG Support tool to put it back to stock?
Sent from my LG-F350K using XDA Free mobile app
I recently got my hands on a bricked LG G2 D800 because i thought i was deemed unbrickable. I got the device the backlight showed life and that was about it. i managed to somehow get (this method i think) it to boot to the LG logo and than it jumps to fastboot mode.
Yea me!!! I got fastboot and this phone is as good as fixed. NO! fastboot does not work. It will absolutely not execute a command besides "fastboot devices" to which it brings up a fastboot device. Since i got fastboot my plan is to follow this thread to recover the device. i updated all drivers that i need for this device, nothing. Plain and simple, there is an issue getting fastboot to execute command. the commands appear on the device but it doesn't advance further.
Download mode. Yeah i get the download mode that I get is a "security error" so its not the traditional download mode. if i get download mode i can flash a .tot right? Wrong. Fails due to "model information check". i got the phone to appear under COM41. The .tot file is 'LGD800AT-01-V20c-310-410-FEB-02-2014+0.tot'. Drivers does not seem to be the issue at hand, unless maybe its the ADB/fastboot drivers which i also updated to newest version.
The next thing im contemplating if this method is worth the shot. I have it booting to fastboot. I will probably do this since its probably the only thing left to try. Going to set up linux now so i'll report back.
Any help/insight will be appeared and properly thanked for.

I was trying to update with LGUP application for firmware update but didn't success, so I removed the USB cable and pressed Volume down and power button to restart. But it went straight into Firmware Update and LGUP application can't find the port.
So, my phone is stucking in Firmware update screen, please help me how to restore the firmware and get out from Firmware Update screen, many thanks and greatly appreciated.
Hold the power button until you get a black screen. Download LG Mobile Support tool and the LG Drivers. Plug USB In and then hold the Power + Volume Up key. On your screen, click Upgrade Recovery. From there, you can do a factory reset through download mode of your phone.
Enter download mode and connect the phone in the PC. Download LG brige and open it. When you are inside the programe you will see a window of Software update enter here and there is an option that is for bad installation otas (to reinstall and correct errors). Use this and I think this will handle.
Another option I think is using LG Up you will see your device in download mode. Try to enter download mode and see if this works also.
Thanks both - I ran into a similar situation. I pulled down both the 11a and 14a KDZ files, and used UpperCut and LGUP to flash first the 14a and then the 11a image. Unfortunately in both cases after LGUP does its thing, I'm getting the LG logo, followed by fastboot screen.
I cannot reboot to get past it, and I cannot flash recovery (it says the boot loader is locked). I cannot flash the Unlock.bin from LG because apparently the KDZ re-enabled the software lock prohibiting bootloader unlocks.
So I'm suck with a phone that will only boot into fastboot, stock recovery or into download mode, and I cannot figure out how to get back to something functional. I've tried reflashing with LGUP - that doesn't work. And the LG Bridge "Update Error Recovery" option gives an error "Connect your mobile device to the USB Port" even though it is, and the LG USB drivers are installed.
Would appreciate any pointers someone could offer.

I have the same issue - I was on Lineage os and flashing the OTA update caused bootloop to recovery. So I wanted to flash back to stock using LGUP and 14A. I did that before without issues.
This time though all installed fine but after reboot the phone immediately goes to fastboot, exactly as described above. I just spend several hours trying to fix it but with no results. The LG Bridge won't recognize the phone no matter what I do in Windows (tried 3 different PCs). On a Mac it will start connecting and will end up saying "you need to enable MTP connection".
From what I garther the stock rom flashed fine - the factory reset works, even shows "erasing data", the LG UP recognizes the phone as 14A (I tried 11A, 13A too - seems to install fine but goes immediately to fastboot after reboot).
The only thing I realized I did different when flashing the stock rom with LGUP was not using the original LG USB cable. But reflashing with original cable makes not difference now - still going to fastboot.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Have you guys been able to do the Upgrade recovery in the LG support tool? Did it work? It starts fine for me but after downloading the recovery file I always get and error, see the screenshot.

Sadly I'm in the same boat as well. I'll pull some of their error messages I've gotten with LG Flash Tool this afternoon. I've tried 2014 and 2017. Both to no success.
I suspect it may be something with the /misc partition. Im going out on a limb, but I'm guessing that the AOSP and Lineage ROMs may touch misc. That partition may have some key identifiers for the LG tools. And the KDZ doesn't have a misc partition embedded inside it.
I was hoping the kdz file I was able to grab from the Lg Support tool would be different from regular stock rom 14a that is available around the internet but it appears to be exactly the same file (based on the file size). My original hope was that the file would support "Refurbish" option in the LGUP tool but it only works with "Upgrade".
I wonder if the "Refurbish" option would fix this and re-flashed all partitions - if only we could find a kdz file that would work with the refurbish option. So far all files I tried (11a, 13a, 14a) only support the upgrade option.
Thanks for all of your helps, I used LGUP and WondersMobile application on the computer and LGUP can not see the port. I did un-install the WondersMobile and LGUP can see the port and finally upgraded to latest firmware.

I am absolutely positive my problem is at least in part due to a messed up /misc partition though. @gqo actually described what I did pretty thoroughly in his thread, albeit in a G5. Post #9 has the fix but it didn't work for me.

Okay, I figured it out. The menu, at least the first option, appears to be for Wi-Fi firmware update. I wonder what file the phone actually downloads... And if it would be able to fix our phones. The only unprotected network I had in hand was a mobile hotspot in my not-so-LTE Nexus 5, so I got as far the firmware download start but didn't risk it on such a slow and unpredictable network. On top of that my Nexus 5 has also gotten pretty good at bootlooping, that's why I got this G6 in the first place. If anyone out there has a reliable unprotected network and nerves of steel it could be interesting to see if the outcome of this update is different from the LGUP one.
How do you access this menu?
What I started working on yesterday is trying to build a image file for the Qualcomm Flash Image loader and see if I can flash the phone using this tool... But I have never used this tool before, right now it does not detect my phone - I need to work on that + see if I can correctly build the image file from kdz. I found some youtube step by step tutorials so we will see. I will post update on the progress tonight or tomorrow.

I'm not sure if there's a better way to do it, but I access it by removing the usb cable after I successfully get in Download Mode. Then I'm not sure if there's any specific key combo, I've been randomly pressing the power and the volume down buttons and at some point I get into that menu. In the menu though, for some reason, I think I can only select an option if I long press both the volume down and power buttons. The "POWER OFF" option has come in handy because so far is the only way I can actually turn my phone off. The "PHONE INFO" hasn't worked for me yet. The menu also reacts when you add/remove the microsd card... I wonder if it can be used for something other than a WiFi firmware upgrade. I haven't had the chance to connect the phone to a computer to see how the device is recognized, if at all.
And that image you're working on sounds like a neat idea, I wish I could help but I'm afraid I wouldn't have the skill. I may be able to test though. Anyway, Godspeed!

I too am having same problem. I've tried all the images from 11A to 14A, all of them flash with no errors on LGUP and every time LGUP detects the phone as having the last version flashed. Unfortunately, the phone also boots to fastboot every time. Nothing else to add to your descriptions at this time I'm afraid...
I am absolutely positive my problem is at least in part due to a messed up /misc partition though. @gqo actually described what I did pretty thoroughly in his thread, albeit in a G5. Post #9 has the fix but it didn't work for me.
I've also stumbled upon a menu under the Firmware Update screen that I had never seen before and cannot fin any mention to... Would any of you guys know what it is for? It reads something like:
Code:
** SELECT MENU **
** Select : Power Key(Long) **
** Move : Power Key(Short) **
-> MA-USB(WIFI) DL
POWER OFF

I'll play around a bit and see if I can land on this menu. At this point I'll try anything. I'm on an iPhone until I get this fixed - so I'm motivated!
I can setup an open guest network off my main wi-fi this evening and see what I can find out.
EDIT Sorry, I tried playing around here, but I couldn't figure out how to get back into the the menu you uncovered. If you could give some instructions on how to do it, I'm happy to give it a shot on my device.
I was able to access the menu today...what worked for me was at the firmware screen unplug the usb cable and then press volume down and power button three times quickly. I tried to connect to a wifi and it does not really do anything. I think it just establishes wifi connection but it does not download anything on it's own - it's waiting for another connection.
Also I got stuck with building the image file from kdz, it has no information on partitions. At this point I decided to ship to LG for a quote and will see how much they will ask for a reflash.
I got as far as selecting a network and getting some sort of a download start screen, but I interrupted it right away so I wasn't sure the download would actually go through... Apparently it does not. If this menu has some sort of flashing capabilities though, it might be worth checking how secure it is. If someone can get it to download and flash a modded file perhaps there could be a chance of flashing a custom recovery or something... I'm thinking about those guys that have an unlockable bootloader (which we ironically also have now).
Anyway, all of this goes well beyond my skill so I followed your example and submitted a repair service request to LG. It'll take quite long but shipping is free, so I figured I'd give it a try. I'm assuming this is an easy fix with the right software tools, so I hope LG doesn't overcharge for it. I'm even half hoping they'll do it under the limited warranty... If I recall correctly unlocking the bootloader doesn't immediately void all warranty, there's room to prove the bootloader was never actually unlocked. And after all LG does say that once unlocked, it cannot be undone and our phones are, in fact, running stock firmware and have a locked bootloader.
Update: My phone was received today by LG. In LG's Track Repair page, the status briefly showed as Undergoing Diagnostic but quickly moved to Repair In Progress, it's current status. Given that LG was supposed to contact me in case the repair was not covered by the limited warranty, meaning that an extra fee would've to be paid, I'm assuming the phone will be fixed (if possible, that is) free of charge. I will update you guys again soon, but if anyone out there is still struggling with this issue I'd recommend considering sending the phone to LG.
I have the exact same problem. Please keep us in the loop of what happens to your phone with LG
My phone has been received by LG for this issue on 9/26. It quickly moved through diagnostic to "repair in progress" on the first day plus showed ETA back to me in 6 business days. Ever since that it's stuck in that mode, no update or contact from LG. I check the status every day - every day it says the same - ETA 6 business days. It's been a week and half now with no update. I kind of expected it's going to take 2-3 weeks but annoyed that they say 6 days ETA and then you don't hear from anyone for almost 2 weeks with no change in status.
Update #2: The status finally moved to Shipped To Customer. I haven't been contacted by LG yet, so I guess the phone could've been shipped fixed as much as it could've been shipped as is for being unfixable. Either way, I wasn't and most likely won't be charged. FedEx hasn't got an ETA for the delivery, but I'll let you guys know as soon as I get my phone back.
Edit: Got an e-mail from LG. It reads something like:
Defect: Software failure
Payment Type: NOT APPLICABLE
Repair Results: S/W upgrade (download)
Repair Cost: $ 0.00
Warranty Status: In Warranty
Tax: $ 0.00
Total: $ 0.00
I guess I got away with it, I hope you guys do too.

I have the LG G6 H870 single sim version, and it's a strange thing.
The Lg G6 remains locked on the LG logo, wait 15 minutes or more.. and does not go any further regardless of flashing method, LG Up or LG Bridge. Now it has the 11th global version installed. Using Uppercut and any version of Nougat starts right after the update. Any version of Oreo, flashed with LG UP or LG Bridge (LG Bridge detects that updating is required and proposes the V20b and installs it) remains stuck at the LG "Powered by Android" logo. It appear on Windows device manager, connected after boot like Serial device, so it's stuck in some Download Mode i think, and after pressing Vol down and power, it enter without problem on Download mode... pressing Vol Up and conecting cable in one second before reboot....
I tried both the bootloader locked and unlocked. The same problem every time. Oreo does not appear as OTA The check now for update message is: "You are using the atest software version for current OS".
Any idea is welcome. Please help!

Still stuck on Nougat...it refuses to let me go back up to Oreo.
Tried numerous .KDZ of Oreo, numerous flashable zips of Oreo.
Do I perhaps need a different kind of .laf or boot.img etc?
Matt
Just use this LGUP and first post instructions from here https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/how-to/using-lgup-crossflashing-t3780969
, "PARTITION DL",then click "select all" on LGUP modified version. It works for me. Tools from here:

THANKYOU!!!
You have 100% fixed my phone...u are a ABSOLUTE LEGEND!!
You one of the VERY few good people on this LG G6 forum.
Sooo many just dont even attempt to answer someones question.
I've owned stacks of smartphones and been a member of loads of XDA forums, but I have to say, as far as getting help asnd questions ansered etc....this LG G6 forum is the absolute worst.
Apart from youself, of course.
Iam now over the moon happy, coz you made my phone work again!
Thanks again.

@matthew33
I have the same problem you described.
Could you give me a link to the dll file? I can't find a file matching my phone LG G6 H870. Always getting this error "please, install valid DLL package(*.msi). for the model"

Matt
Thank you very much!
For me this method also worked.
At the beginning I had the same problem as before (error about missing dll) but launching the application as an administrator helped.
In the beginning I wanted to upgrade my device to 9.0 ( Korean version ) then when i Update my phone Through LGUP show error message (Approximately 75%)
Then I turn off the phone Then when I want to get in Downloading mode Is directed to fastboot
so I stuck in fastboot
please HELP
Try to force reboot via holding power + vol down for 8 seconds.

Doesn’t work :crying:
Try draining the phone's battery via otg, then hold vol up and plug in usb to computer to download mode.
@a_al_khaled1 you need to provide a bit more info and answer to those questions:
1. Were you bootloader unlocked?
2. What option and partitions you have checked to flash via LGUP?

Now we are getting there...
Can you remember OS Oreo version you were using and if your device has AT&T branding or it was a Google - Fi one?

V350ULM10i
Amazon version
Now everything is clear.
Try holding and not releasing volume - and power while the phone boots and reboots into fastboot 6 times in a row then release only Vol- while still holding power - phone will change active boot slot and will boot into slot _b (if it was bootable before of course).
If this does not happen then your only way to restore it is via JTAG.
Contact this guy.

Yes, I know - you have 75% Korean pie with leftovers from Amazon Oreo (your abl misc and ftm partitions are still from Oreo while the rest is from Pie).
You can enter into 9008 mode for JTAG flashing so just contact the guy and ask him to flash to you back amazon LAF partition, afterwards you will have properly working download mode and you can restore the whole amazon kdz.
@vlad48 I am in the same situation, however mine is the AT&T variety, I tried swapping to boot_b a couple times and no luck. Is my only option to do the 9008 mode for JTAG flashing?
E: I have backups of Boot_a/b, abl_a/b, and xdl_a/b if that is worth anything. However my phone isn't detected by LGUP anymore. I was on oreo 8.0.0 with the july 2018 security update.
Yes - the only way apart from sending it back to AT&T is to flash back your Oreo partitions via JTAG - in your case easiest way will be to re-lash US Open KDZ.

What variant do you have?
If you're running AT&T firmware, you don't have fastboot flash commands.
You have to convert to another firmware via Dev Patched LGUP.

The AT&T V35 I bought from @bacon612 was flashed to Google Fi firmware.
This or US unlocked 'i' are good candidates.

I'm going to look into that one. Thanks for the recommendation. Also, I was able to use LGUP to flash the Korean KDZ. It seemed to work fine, and does now. It flashed perfect, my data was intact until I had to restart my phone a while later and then it was all gone. Looked factory out of the box. However it is smooth as a baby's bottom now.
