Yu Yureka 6.0.1(Marshmallow) open OS Root - YU Yureka Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am an Yu Yureka user starting March, 2015. I have waited 2 years to get the Marshmallow update through OTG before getting root. But this new update is full of glitches such as
1. When my phone is switched off and charging no percentage of charge completion is shown.
2. When pictures taken in HDR mode, camera screen turns green and stay like that until the phone is restarted. Also the picture quality degraded.
3. This new update takes away the advanced reboot option which was under the Developer Options( in Lollipop), so there is no way to go into recovery mode without connecting phone to pc through usb.
Now coming to the main part,
4. There is nothing that can root my phone. Starting from phone applications to pc applications nothing can root it.:crying:
5. So I tried the cmd Process by using command window through PC by unlocking my Bootloader first, after that I installed TWRP.
6. When the above processes were successful, I transferred the Supersu Zip file in the internal and external of my phone and then executed them from TWRP. Surprisingly it was also successful.:good:
7. Now when I turned my phone on and checked with 2 different root checker apps, my phone was still not rooted.:crying:
8. Then I probably tried the Supersu installation more than 10 times, factory reset it more than I can even remember but still nothing.
9. My phone developed a new problem that is it randomly reboots itself.:crying:
If anyone knows any solution to the above problems, specially on how to successfully root my Yu Yureka, plz help me. I lost all my hope and confidence.
Thank You for taking your time and reading this.

I don't know if u have done stuffs properly....so here's the thing...IF U R RUNNING LOLLIPOP OR ABOVE!!!!!! then------------
1. Download latest TWRP from the official site and flash it
2. Flash any latest nougat based roms like ---- lineage os, official RR, aosp extended etc. (there r so much astonishingly beautiful roms and i can't name all of them....please don't mind devs )
X. Flash GApps if you want to from here : opengapps.org (arm64,7.1.x,pico variant)
3. Very imp. for you !!!!!!Flash magisk (latest v13.3) from here : (tiny.cc/latestmagisk) and flash it
P.S. Lineage might not support magisk so you have flash there supersu addon which can be found on their official website (in device tree on the left side search for "extras" on the very last option)
Hit Thanks Button if I helped you

yureka plus not getting detected in pc
hey i too have the same problem but one more is that i cannot connect it to pc its just charge my phone unable to connect it and if i connect it in switched off position it just act as is its charging for a second and stop yu boots abd again it charge and yu boots

Need some input to downgraded from marshmallow to official lollipop for YU Yureka...
I am facing the some issues like automatic restart for yu yureka due tounstable Marshmallow update. Can you please share the steps to downgraded to official update like lollipop.

Damaged recovery, unable to ADB debugging, bootloop

[HELP] [URGENT]
//this is the story, skip if you prefer
so i was updating my cm 12.1 rom to rr 7.1 rom
everything was fine, no real mess just bad flash so i decided to reflash the rom (dunno why i did that actually, its just my tradition). Aaaaand the ROM went flawlessly
next step is install supersu, i checked that the rom is pre-rooted so i think its easier to get supersu via playstore. Installing supersu went flawlessly (again) and i rebooted ma phone.
//then everything starts to f***ed up
my phone bootlooped (not a big deal actually, done with this sh** all the time)
like a casual day, reflash my phone. but i cant go to recovery mode its stuck at logo i think that supersu binary damaged ma recovery.img (again not a big deal but i started to worry) i connect my phone to my pc, summon my adb, and hope the best, but my devices not listed there. then i remembered i forgot to turn on usb debugging on setting oh crap!
so here is my question:
is it possible to turn on usb debugging via pc or something else? if so how.
is it possible to use adb feature without my phone being turned on its usb debugging?
is it possible to repair my recovery <== i mean reflash beside using adb. if so how :crying:
and the last one, beside my phone not listed on adb device list. it wont showed or recognized in my pc (do i need something else beside usb and adb driver?)
any help will be appreciated :good:
this is my only phone so i put my hands on you guys, you're the superhero here
if i dont have any solution, my only way is send this phone to service centre :crying:
some info:
devices : lenovo a6k plus
old rom : cm 12.1 by ED300
new rom: rr nougat v5.8.0 (i dont remember who made this rom, sorry. by the way i found the rom somewhere in xda)
supersu ver: newest per 21 Feb 2k17 (playstore)
my pc: win 8 64x <== dunno if this info useful though
old recovey: twrp (forget the version, but im pretty sure the recovery made by russian developer and it has chicken logo during startup)
battery level when i discovered i cant go to recovery mode: somewhat near 16% <== maybe helpful
if you really care to help me just tell me what do you know, i would appreciate that really, i meant that because this phone is the only way i can contact all of my super important buddy for my business.
Thanks anyway, regards Tom
Well take out the battery and return it hold volum down + power button now you should be able to use fastboot commands go to the folder where you have your adb and fastboot there paste a recovery img file you want to use.Open cmd and type fastboot flash recovery nameofyourimg.img
And now you should be able to use recovery. If not try qfil debricking method that you can find on forum.Best of luck if somthing isnt clear enough feel free to PM me.Also download new recoveries that are now officialy developed
Thanks for replying JovanSijacki
unfortunate enough, i have done that and still dope and nope.
usually i can find my device in windows device manager named android with yellow triangle, but this one is different, my computer wont recognize my phone.
will try debricking method instead, thank you dude
Thank you for those who care to reply, friend of mine who are expert developer told me how to fix this. AS LONG AS YOU ABLE TO GET INTO FASTBOOT MODE YOU ARE SAFE. Im going to make separate thread to share the tutorial *insert smiley emoji*

Black screen, no DL mode, no boot, just a brick - device without root

Hello guys!
Unfortunately I have managed to full brick my phone which has worked without any issues for more then 3 years.
My story:
1. Phone started to have random restarts, basicaly, when phone lagged little bit - it restarted phone.
2. When I did manual restart, I got into bootloop and could not get out
3. With a heavy heart I did a factory reset. - Problem with random restarts ontinued together with random bootloops.
4. Did maybe 5 more factory resets, nothing happened.
5. Found a tutorial to flash new firmware.I was on 5.0.2 D802 30d so I used same. (PC suite could not find my phone and LG support tool always freezed on SW install)
6. I used LG Flash tool with normal flash. - used *.kdz which I have downloaded via LG support tool - checked size with dl from source from xda and they were same so i used it.)
7. All success, but device keep restarting - i think no bootloop anymore.
8. I did full flash again with LG flash tool so have a clean install and hopefully fix everything.
9. Suddenly mid-install my phone auto-disconnected from laptop and even with Retry attemps I wasnt able to get it running again. Then my phone restarted itself and that was it.
Now I cannot go to recovery mode, I cannot go to Download mode, all I see is black screen (turns some light on little bit underneath but no data visible).
Also when connect to my Windows 10 laptop multiple discs trying to load and trying to format disk. (one of them contains folder image with some files inside).
I dont have root, I dont have any other tools installed on my phone, just a normal user.
I tried to download adb but i dont understand it much, and also it cannot find my device.
Is there any way how to still fix my phone or is it completely lost
If so, I please you for a dummies step-by-step list .
Thank you so much in advance. :crying:
So good news,
I managed to load img back with dd application.
My Download mode together with factory reset is working.
I have tried to flash it with LGUP and even with some accused usb disconnections I probably managed to flash new lollipop to my phone.
Now it is optimalizing apps to load android correctly. Only issue I have is low battery, it always drains it too quickly so it cannot load properly.
Any idea how to charge the battery? Every time I connect phone with usb cable it starts up into boot, possible bootloop (cannot say if it is because of low battery or real bootloop)
Thanks
Dude try to install crdroid 7.1.2 nougat rom of d802 this will fix your battery problem
root it and install TWRP with srktools 2.0
this is best way to root G2 5.0.1 lolipop
you can also use LG One Click Root to obtain root then don't update su binary and install Autorec of you model to get twrp

Redmi 4 prime/pro [brick] [geekbuying]

Hello xdadevelopers users,
before 3 months I've bought my XIAOMI REDMI 4 PRIME with Global ROM from Geekbuying.
Before 1 week I've wanted to root my device and flash ressurection remix.
So I've followed all tutorials and installed all correct:
1. Backuped all my things (First backuped in the Settings & then pulled everything via MTP on my Computer)
2. Unlocked my Device (But my Phone hasn't got wiped after this like I thought)
3. Installed TWRP and Magisk
4. Booted into TWRP
5. Put "iosfirmware for 7.1 Nougat + RR Rom + Gapps Nano" into my root folder
6. Wiped all except Internal Storage
7. Flashed everything in this order: "iosfirmware --> RR ROM --> Gapps"
8. Wiped Cache and reboot
After this procedure my phone wont turn on and stayed on black screen.
I couldn't enter fastboot or the mode to enter download mode.
But the devices still showes up in Device Manager as Qualcomm 9003 Device.
So I stay chilled and searched online for Global Stock ROM & tools and videos that would help me to unbrick my device.
I've tested a lot, like MiFlash method, Testpoint method (Yes I also opened my device & also holding power + volume up & spamming volume down.)
All this things failed an the phone stayed black and MiFlash just sayed "cannot receive hello packet".
Now I am curios is the situation lost?
I've also read some articles that geekbuying is giving out fake roms that just show the user that the device is unlocked even if it's not.
Could that be true are there any other possible things I can do or can I get my device repaired for free from geekbuying.
Hope for some answers also if I am already in the mood to buy a new phone.
Greetings kazumamon

Maybe you shouldn’t have flashed iosfirmware at all. Probably isn’t supported on Redmi 4 prime. Try uninstalling it, or booting into twrp and do a full wipe ( system, cache, data) then install RR and Gapps only.

Moto G4 XT1621 OTA bricked [FIXED]

I'm creating this thread because i have a moto G4 xt1621 bricked by OTA android 7.0 update.
my phone is from latin america dual sim model 16gb rom.
bootloader unlocked, twrp installed plus lineage oficial 7.1.2 for ATHENE running for more than a year no problems.
one day i was using it for videos and realized the quality was not very good so i decided to install the original android 6.0.1 from motorola to check if the quality of the main camera improved, all went ok thru fastboot and the phone rebooted to android 6.0.1 no problems, so the downgraded android was not the problem, yes the cam improved the video quality a little, moto cam vs ported lineage cam is one step down in my opinion the later, flashed a custom logo.bin to hide the unlocked bootloader screen of pain and all was ok, then the phone asked for an update OTA to android 7.0 and i declined but days later i decided to test the 7.0 flavor against the marshmallow in camera quality tings, why why i'm such a nerdddd whyyyyyyy.....
the update 990 Mbit downloaded in under 10 min, i got 100 meg fiber lol.
the phone started to install the update and after 85% 20 min or so, pum! dead screen in front of me, i was like wth is connected to the pc plus the battery have over 75%, hit the power on, nothing, disconnected from pc, connected again, only the famous bricked flashing white led of dead pulsing was alive no combination of buttons or usb connections did nothing.
googling find lost of threads talking about OTA 7.0 from motorola bricking phones that dont do it in steps like marshmallow to the first nougat then the next security update and so on, when you go from 6.0.1 to the latest nougat OTA lost of ATHENE´s die bricked with no hope.
the problem is in the GPT.bin and BOOTLOADER.bin binaries of the marshmallow and the latest nougat NOT BEING COMPATIBLE AT ALL.......
FIX
after a full day and i meant 20 hours in front of the pc i find the right combination of tools for my problem:
in W10 64bit turn test mode on and driver integrity check off from admin powershell (remember to do it backwards after, changing on by off and disable by enable)
bcdedit -set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON
RESTART PC
download QualcommDrv.zip in this post and install the correct x64 or x86 version of the driver, google motorola usb drivers and install them. (MotorolaDeviceManager_2.5.4.exe)
RESTART PC
connect the phone thru usb 2.0 (regular usb in the MB not add cards or hubs or keyboards) and open device manager, when the pc tell you it do not recognize the usb device or any usb error pop, hit at the same time power and volume down in the phone until the pop in device manager go away or the error disappear.
in device manager you have to look for COM/LPT new entry in the tree and when open it say qualcomm stuff of some kind. (is over 9000 kind 9008 or so dont remember) lol
Download blankflash.zip in this post and unzip it in a folder, run blank-flash.bat
when you do this steps the phone should boot a generic fastboot, there you will have the phone ready to do some magic like installing twrp if the bootloader is unlocked before you bricked the moto or reflash a stock moto original rom, plenty of threads for both that routes here in xda. WORKS FOR ME.

Samsung Galaxy A520F bricked

Hi there,
my wife owns or better owned a Samsung Galaxy A5. Due to many problems (battery drain, bloatware) with the stock rom, I installed Lineage OS 14.1 a few months ago. Now I just wanted to update the Lineage OS, selected in the update section the new version. The update started booted into TWRP and installed everything without any problems. After finishing the flash process the phone tried to reboot:
I heard the vibration, the white Samsung Screen appears, then follows a vibration and the screen is getting black, the white Samsung Screen appears, then follows a vibration and the screen is getting black, the white Samsung Screen appears, then follows a vibration and the screen is getting black, the white Samsung Screen appears, then follows a vibration and the screen is getting black, …
I'm still able to enter TWRP (Vol+-Home-Power) and the Download-Mode (Vol--Home-Power). In TWRP I tried to flash an older Lineage Build and also an upgrade to Hades ROM Oreo (including BL and Modem). The flash processes succeeded without any problems. But to bootloop remains.
The I searched the net for the original Samsung Stock ROMs. There's a big selection of ROMs on Sammobile, but I'm still struggling to get the download working . On other portals the offered stock roms fail to download (a 2GB file with 15kb/sec).
There's another problem: I don't have any Windows here. On Linux I did the most stuff in Heimdall. But I don't feel comfortable the unpack any tar.md5 files and unpack the partions and unpack the images … Samsung Smartswitch isn't available for Linux too. So the easiest way for me is to use TWRP (Version 3.2.3 is installed). I can access TWRP via MTP to transfer files.
Which chances do I still have to unbrick that garbage device?
(If I don't get it running, it will be the last Samsung phone we have ever bought. This Samsung crap is not even in a single piece comparable with my old Oneplus 3)
I have a SM-A520W that has been bricked it wont turn off only thing i can do is go into download mode but absolutely everything i try to send up into it thru odin is blocked i downloaded the latest firmware along with the 6.01 mm BL and nothing works. Its with videotron

succesfully compiled a rar with 3 files in it and flashed it with no problem
then used the stock rom to reflash
