Explanation to why odin fails
When your s8/ s8+ is forced rebooted by holding the power and volume down buttons or crash reboots. And when booting into download mode for some reason download mode is locked or corrupted and Odin will fail even if you use official device specific firmware. So follow the steps below to fix
How to fix!
1. Boot into download mode by pressing ( power + volume down + Bixby button) and stop at the screen of continue and reboot.
2. Press volume down to restart phone
3. Quickly boot back into download mode by pressing (power + volume down + Bixby button)
4. Press continue
5. Congratulations fully working now

Awesome thank you great work

What if by rooting you blew the efuse like I did?
Cost me £290 at samsung to repair.

Well in that case . Its not a brick or odin fail. Its parts replacements . So sorry to hear that :crying:
This method is works only if the device hardware works

so i noticed that mine also says "blown fuse," but i read somewhere that its normal??? my problem is, i have a G955U AT&T, and every time my phone powers down and i reboot it i always goes into a black screen and says SYSTEN UI CRASH. Does anyone know what is causing that and if so, is it the blown fuse? im honestly ready to go back to a flip phone haha because these damn nice phones have more problems then my marriage,:laugh: Just kidding. help would be appreciated.

this method is not working for me ive been trying it for hours and nothing. im in a bootloop no matter what i flash in Odin. i have no recovery, no system,no boot. im getting over it. and im flashing the c9 firmware

many thanks bro

Rpmb fuse?
That's the bootloader rev efuse. Flashing the first ever on the phone by the factory does that. Every single s8/s8+ phone ever has that

I think I have a brick :(

Hey guys this may amuse some of you but hoping someone can help me out. I bought my SGS i9000 this morning about 4 hours ago and it was running Eclair. I tried flashign with Kies but wasn';t having much luck. Needed to try and get into download mode for Odin so decided to flash a key combo fix to get into Download mode because it wasn't working. Next thing I know Odin crashes and my phone boots to this screen

Probably have a brick but hoping someone can help me see light at the end of the tunnel!
I've had that screen before
I was on Gingerbread, but was able to use the three button combo (vol down + home + power) to get back into download mode.
Unfortunately the key combo never worked for me. That's what I was trying to fix
Hello you have to buy usb.jig for sgs in ebay.for 5 euros or less and its solved
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
clarkey15 here is the solution for you http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1153310
I tried that but PC is not recognising phone
Do you have samsung usb drivers installed on your pc ?
Yes I installed them before trying to flash. The PC is not even making any sounds while connected
Try a different USB port.
That sometimes resolves the PC not finding the phone.
I was under the impression that the I9000 was practically unbrickable.. Hm, there you go I guess.

My reputation on other forums will suggest otherwise
Sorry for you guy.
I semi bricked my sgs so many times and flashed it with odin. But never seen your screen.
I read somewhere that with only usb plug modified you can go to download mode. But i don't remember how
Thanks everyone for your replies. I have just ordered a USB jig for the phone. Hope it will help my situation
Hope it'll work ^^
Firstly this is not a bricked phone - I've been there - a brick is dead, dodo - yours is semi-bricked (its recoverable without returning to Samsung)
remove battery and replace battery
plug in USB
hold vol-, home, power buttons - it might force download mode from where you can flash a new rom
this thread holds all you need to know
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14957283&postcount=1
finally, a jig will work - I've had one since samsung f*cked the bootloaders up in their stock 2.2 eclair. Its the last resort but WILL work
best of luck, let me know if you have any luck with this advice
Thanks for the reply. I am glad to know that someone has been through this before and has fixed it with a Jig. Only down side is I have to go back to my Hero while waiting for my jig.
have you tried the link I gave you? have you tried option (a) to the letter? Where are you in S wales? I'm in Cardiff and I've got one
Good i found this thread, i've reflashed my phone like 50 times and done a lot of testing. Well first time i got that picture too but it was because my windows had gone wonky and odin did not find phone and i just removed battery and put it in again and the pic was there automaticly. The three button combo for download mode worked like a charm, was going to test it first but tought i better go and read before doing anything hasty

I've done most of those things. I've been at it for a while now. Only had the phone today too. I'm in Bridgend
ok....first follow that thread option (a) to the letter and it should work - if you got it from Carphone warehouse take it back - the one in Queen Street Cardiff fixed mine same day when I semi bricked mine in work and wasn't going home to sort out. as a bonus they flashed the latest FW - just play dumb - maybe try saying KIES offered you an upgrade which failed.
Finally when you get it sorted delete ALL drivers from your PC - your KIES problems are due to incompatibility of drivers following running Odin. Make sure that KIES is detecting your phone ok before letting Odin install its own drivers

I had the same problem after I installed xposed and it's framework the phone rebooted and kept rebooting. I turned it off by pressing power button with volume up. Then booted into recovery by pressing power and volume down then I deleted all the data from one option not as usual recoverise when you delete dalvic and cache then rebooted but the problem was still existed so I deleted data again and the device booted successfully

IT WONT LET ME go to recovery mode,. when i tried going to recovery mode, it only shows the oppo logo with a "recovery mode" name located beyond the oppo logo, then reboots again and again. i remember flashing a oppo f1 twrp rom to my phone using the "Official TWRP App" from google play,
link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.twrp.twrpapp
but i dont know if it is successfully flashed, because i does not show any signs such as "TWRP IS SUCCESSFULLY FLASHED, BLAH BLAH BLAH", im so confused now if the flashed were neither successful or not, it only shows nothing when i pressed flash to recovery, then i uninstalled it quickly. That is my conclusion, what do you think
here is the link of the twrp rom: https://twrp.me/devices/oppof1.html
IF YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO, OR OU KNOW YHOW TO REPAIR THIS, PLS EMAIL ME, [email protected] .:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:

My LeEco Le Pro 3 restarts after 20 seconds.

Hello everyone,
I have a big problem and I can't find a solution.
My phone reboots after 20 seconds.
I just see the logo LeEco and 20 seconds after, it restarts continuously. it does not stop.
I can enter in the fastboot but the usb debugging mode is not enabled so I can' t do anything.
Please, what is the solution ?
Thank you very much

You can try to do a hard reset I hope does it but it could be hardware issue.
Sent from my SM-A730F using xda premium
The hard reset doesn't work because the phone reboots when I enter to the recovery mode.
Someone told me it may be because I let the phone go to 0%. Do you think it's possible? If that's right, what do you think I can do now?
Thank you

In that case leave it plugged in for a day and then retry reseting. You calibration could be out of whack.
If you are using the Leeco supplied usb C cable, replace it with a higher quality cable.

Completely stock now it's stuck in a boot loop and Recovery mode shows no options at all. Leaving it in Recovery mode leads to a reboot within 2-3 seconds.

To go to ffbm you have to go to fastboot mode first then you have to scroll there for ffbm mode I only have seen this in zuk z2 if you are using another phone then I don't know
This is nice and all, but what if your rom get screwed up and you can't reboot to fastboot via software? Is there a button combination to boot into fastboot via hardware?

Nope, ZUK didn't like the idea of button combination so opted for this screen and I would highly refrain from removing it. I really like the screen btw  And love it when something goes wrong and I can just go through it to Nirvana.
I have z2 pro and this method is not working here.
This screen also shows up on my orbic wonder

hey guys i recently had an update on my s10+ and mid through the update the phone just powered off(it was plugged to the charger) and since then ive been stuck on a blue screen saying i have to use the emergency recovery function in the smart switch pc app so i downloaded the app and tried to do that but the app wont recognize my phone. i searched all over the internet i tried flashing with odin a previous version and even the version it was trying to update to but it all failed. it gets stuck around 50% through the install and just sits there for hours without continuing. i am hopeless and have no idea what else i can do i even took the phone to a repair shop and they also failed to fix this problem. my last resort would be changing motherboard but i doubt its worth it. anyone has ideas what else i can do in order to fix this issue?

Not sure if you've tried this but maybe it will work...
1) Hold bixby, volume down and while holding these, put the usb-c cable in the s10 when connected to the PC. This will (hopefully) get you into download mode if the other method fails
2)If Odin is still recognizing your phone, you have hope.
3)Make sure you use the latest version of Odin. I have previously tried to flash a new firmware with an old Odin and failed
4)Once you have the right Odin, try flash the latest stock firmware you can find. You may not be able to downgrade once upgraded
