boot problems - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

my latest isue with the samsung sgh-1337 that i have been posting various questions about. i got my new sd card and moved mt titanium bkups from the internal storage including the "update.zip" that i had made and tested with removed bloatware and handful of user apps that i installed and converted over to system apps and included to the update zip. i removed a couple user apps i no longer needed. i read while browsing these forums that the "touchwiz" app is not needed and provides little features, ect. I removed this then rebooted the phone and was going to make a frswh update zip and leave it in the internal storage. the phone then did not want to boot and kept freezing at a blank dark screen. i tried to again do a sytem restore which allowed me to one of the many times i rebooted and kept getting stuck in boot loops or the blank screen. even after the one succesful reset it still stuck at a blank screen.i then tried flashing with oden with the stock replacement rom for this specific model from:androidmtk.com/download-samsung-stock-rom. again i have had the same unsucessful results with oden as follows from odins log:

GT-1905 Demo unit firmware

I have got a hold of a demo unit (gt-19505x) and wanted to flash it to a standard firmware. So i choosed
hxxp://sammobile.c0m/firmwares/1/?model=GT-I9505&pcode=VDS
When in odin i get this error message:

So i wonder if anyone have any experience with flashing demo units. Is this error caused to wrongly chosen rom or a corrupt file? Or can't the demo phones be flashed?
Is there any demo unit room out there that i can try to flash with, because now the phone gets stuck at the splash screen when i try to boot it.
EDIT:
I managed to boot it, was stuck along time on the splash screen tho, the downside is that wi-fi is'nt working. But i can tether via bluetooth from my SII.
Under device status it says its custom so i guess i can "update" the firmware via "software update".
But when it checks for a new version it starts by "registering device..." then i get an error saying "Processing faile" even tho i'm logged in with my samsung account.
Is this because im not on wi-fi and it will only scan for updates if im on wi-fi?
any luck ?

[Q] HELP...I stuck on yellow sprint screen after restoring from a nandroid backup

Yesterday I had just rooted my Sprint Galaxy S4 on 4.3 and tried flashing Sac's 4.3 Rom and it 1st left me at some shinig small android logo so i decided it would've been a better idea to restore back to stock ( with the back up i made in TWRP ) and after i restored the back up, the phone's screen was stuck on the yellow sprint boot screen. After that i've tried using Odin mutiple times as seen a solution in other posts to completely put the phone back to stock/unroot it and i get the following error from Odin: *Note I've tried using 2 different versions of odin and 2 different laptops.*

Grab this tar (it's zipped, so unzip and use tar.md5..) and try it in Odin. It's the full MJA.
Also make sure to run Odin 'As administrator'
Thanks leadbuilder! I managed to reflash a stock 4.3 mja.tar from that exact link about an hour ago i right before i read your reply.
Thank you for repsponding though!
Thanks for the reply!
It's always good to know what happened. That way maybe others can benefit too.
If you hang around and read all the way through some of the posts you will quickly get a really good education on how this device works and have a blast with this phone. There are some really good devs and contributors here.
Good luck.

Caught in a Boot Loop after Rooting

Hi folks,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 SPH-L720, 16 GB, Black Mist, Sprint. I bought it from SamsClub this past August and it's connected to the Sprint network through FreedomPop.<Link removed>
FreedomPop doesn't matter in this situation though, but I thought the extra information may help.
This morning I wanted to try rooting it with SuperUS which was already on my phone. Somehow the operation failed and the phone needed to reboot. So I rebooted it, but it would just sit there.. loading. It couldn't get past the FreedomPop loading screen, I left it for about 20 minutes but it was still loading and the back of the phone was really hot. I tried booting into Recovery Mode and that worked so I did a system restore in hopes that that would fix all my problems, but it still wouldn't get past the loading screen. So, I tried clearing the Cache and the Dalvick cache and that didn't help either.
So.. I decided to try to return my phone to stock using Odin and stock Firmware. Everything was going great, but then Odin stopped and said the operation failed. Here's the log.
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..

<ID:0/005> Complete(Write) operation failed.

Now what do I do? I do not want to have to buy a new phone.
Thanks for any help.

Fixed
I figured out what I was doing wrong. Turns out I had the wrong stock firmware, once I used the correct firmware it restored and it's working again.

Samsung SMT330NU - Odin3 issue

Looks like I could use some experienced help here. So I went to root using Odin3. I loaded up my file and everything seemed to go as expected. That is until it reset at the end. At that point it seemed to be stuck in a boot loop. I let it go for a while, but still just rebooting over and over (just Samsung splash screen). So at that point I double check things. Looks like I loaded the MD5 file for the SMT330 not smt330nu. So Is started over with the correct file and it progresses almost all the way and I get an error. Looks like this:

Don't use cfauto root it gets deprecated all the time. Use this method instead (simply stated, install trwrp with Odin and immediately boot into twrp to install the latest beta SuperSU zip): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=61421937&postcount=4

Stock SM-N910V stuck on red VZW screen after reflash of stock rom

I have a stock non rooted SM-N910V that gets stuck on the red VZW screen after a reflash of the stock samsung rom. I am not sure what or where to go from and have become somewhat confused as I have read so many similar threads it has become convoluted at this point. I have flashed several variants of stock roms with no success. I am not sure if I am supposed to include the *.pit file or not and if so when that file to be included. Is it supposed to be flashed before, during, or after the stock rom is flashed? I will list the stock roms I have tried so far and attempt to include pics of the screens I have encountered during this delima. I can access the download mode. I can access the recovery mode. I am using Odin3 v3.12.3. I have NOT performed a factory data reset yet as I was trying to avoid that if possible at this point in time. I thank any and all who may post assistance regarding my issue. Thank you, John.
These are the roms I have downloaded from recommended sites on this forum.
