Hey guys,
After moving from stock to cm there are some features that I missed a bit.
The Moto Voice is one of them:
Yesterday I managed to install the Moto Voice app directly from the Playstore to my Moto X 2014 (xt1092). I tried the same with several devices but none of them can see it on the Playstore.
You might want to see if you're able to download it but there is an issue (as always ^^), the app is installed and running but doesn't react to anything, I'll join some screen shots to let you see that.
As you can see on the screen shots other features like assist or action are working.
There might be some way to fix the problem of Moto Voice, I'll continue to try to find a fix and I'll share with you the progress of the work.
You can also try to find a fix on your way too that would be a big help
Hit the thanks button if you would like to see Moto Voice coming to our Moto X running CyanogenMod
Hope I've helped you

Moto Voice works with the low power processor and needs support in the kernel and I think that is not in the public domain so difficult if not impossible to make work. Install the Google Now Launcher and "Ok, Google" comes pretty close to what Moto Voice does and everything it does do is a few seconds faster than Moto Voice (because most of what Moto Voice does, it just passes to Ok, Google anyway.)
Motorola is dropping Moto Assist in Marshmallow so that won't be a consideration in the future.
All of the Moto Actions are supported in CM 12.1 in Settings->Gestures.

Yeah the best thing with Moto Voice was that it runs in background even while the screen is off, and yeah, it makes sense that it is run by the low power processor ^^.
I didn't know Motorola was was going to drop moto assist, that's pretty sad, also its pity that at the time Motorola was Google and that haven't made a fully open source Smartphone :/
Well thanks for illuminate on that issue
Moto Assist , is another app which is already disabled in my MotoG
as Moto app will have the Assist integrated in it already; it will be unncessary to put again Moto Assist APK seperately , so the MotoAssist APK which used to be earlier is being removed
i am on MotoG i am currently seaching for MotoVoice , and i found this thread.. hope you find the solution bro all the best
if you can help me .. please visit this thread and see it bro

I just updated to MM and lost Moto Assist. Basically, when I get in the car I was setup to automatically read me my SMS messages, or when I got to work to automatically silence my phone. Can this be done without having to install a 3rd party app?
Yes. It took me a while to find it too. Open the moto app, press on the 3 little stars in the upper right, press on voice, press on talk to me and you should see a Drive option there.
There's an app I read and he uploaded the assist app with double chop flash light but I don't know if anyone has that app for MM, I tried to downloaded the assist 2.6.1 apk but it said "assist not compatibe" . Now I don't know what to do to restore that feature unless I downgrade to 5.1.1:crying:
Applications like applock and Clean master are not shown in Security->App with usage access.
Kindly, let me know how to lock the application before launching in moto X play.
Thanks in advance.
Anyone else having trouble doing the voice training for the "hey Google" hotword? I am able to setup "ok Google" but not "hey Google" for the life of me. I've uninstalled the Google app, cleared data and cache and still no "hey Google". Using Moto g5 plus 64gb retus. 110% stock and on the newest update 137-93-4. Any information or suggestions to get it working would be much appreciated. Thanks!!
Moto voice has problems with Google assistant. Disable moto voice. You may test Android Mic Fix module from magisk.

I think you misunderstood what I'm saying. My mic works fine. I can setup "ok google" it just doesn't have the prompt to train "hey Google" after I've setup "ok Google". And correct me if I'm wrong but the g5 plus doesn't have Moto voice
I faced the same problem & my Moto E4 Plus also doesn't have Moto Voice, but disabling or uninstalling Moto app fixed the issue. Maybe give that a try.
Just tried it on mine. Running the latest update, January security patch, latest Google update (March 26/beta), full stock. Open Assistant - tap the menu button in the to right - tap the menu (three dot button) - select phone - retrain voice model. It will ask you to say "ok Google" twice then "hey Google" twice. After that it should respond to either prompt.

Seems to be the firmware update. I'm on November security patch and my voice model is 3x Ok Google.

I also used to have this problem.. but it was solved after the January security patch.... Try downgrading the google app version... It was a temporary solution for me..
Is there google cam for moto x play?
I’ve tried every version available. None works. So, I think, no.
