[Q] cm mod upgrade stopped on verification error

hello all
i am trying to upgrade from android 1.6. to cm 6. my details are here: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=781028
i have stopped at applying the update.zip. it stops with this error:
Verifying update package...
E: No signature (572 files)
E: Verification failed
Installation aborted
when i tried to implement the telnet app as suggested in this thread: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=559889 i get an unable to connect to server.
what am i missing?

solved
the issue was with clockworkmod recovery. a simple reinstall solved it.
note that each time i wanted to boot into recovery mode i had to flash then boot

[Q] ROM update issues

ive encountered an error while trying to update my rooted motorola defy from 2.2.2 to jellybean.
i was using the update.zip method and got as far as installing it on the recovery mode before this happened
"Finding update package ...
Opening update package ...
Verifiyng update package ...
E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted."
any ideas?

[Q] SM-G7102 Installing ROM Error

I booted my device into recovery mode. I wiped my data amd cache. When i was installing the ROM the following message appeared :
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package..
E; footer Is wrong
E : signature verification failed
Finding Update package...

Verifying update package...
E : footer is wrong
E : Signature verification failed
E : failed to mount /system (Invalid argument)
--Appling Multi-CSC...
E : failed to mount /system (Invalid Argument)
Installation Aborted.
Pls XDA you are my first and last hope

In CWM Recovery, try disabling signature verification before flashing the ROM. Only do this if you trust the source from which you downloaded this ROM.

How to do that pls tell
And tell me which recovery to flash

Standard OTA update failing

Hi all,
On my unrooted / unmessed with Yoga Book, I've been having issues with OS update for several months, every time I try, I get:
Supported API: 3
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E: failed to verify whole-file signature
E: signature verification failed
Installation aborted
The update I'm failing to install is: YB1-X90F_USR_S000196_1611040312_WW06_BP_ROW_TO_YB1-X90F_USR_S000239_1612091428_WW06_BP_ROW_WCAC703BC6.zip
Any hints/ideas? The Lenovo forums just said "try again".. I have, for several months, still no dice
I have a local copy of the .zip, any way I can more manually apply it?

I was installing firmware update stockrom for my Zenfone 2 Laser z00ed then this error showes up when i apply the rom from adb. What should i do now?

actually i unzipped the file and lose it and zipped the unzipped file again so can that be the problem?
i am installing the file again from the asus link

Guys i actually managed to fix this issue by reinstalling the zip but now it gives
E: Error in /sideload/package.zip
(status 7)

I fixed this issue and get the newest version by installing older supported version then installing the newest version i hope this thread will help someone
