is this an option, buried in a menu somewhere?
I've disabled mine but don't know how, and can't turn it on again.

Or to turn keyguard off within a WiFi network (using Tasker or AutomateIt)? I've tried to do this using Tasker (Keyguard Off function) but then realized that several errors started occurring on my phone; I later realized that this had been removed on 2.2. I love the finger swipe but hate that you can't apply a security lock timer to the fingerprint scanner.
So, has anyone figured out how to automate the fingerprint scanner using Tasker (or another app like AutomateIt) to turn Keyguard Off? Or is there a way to set a timer to the fingerprint scanner despite it being greyed out in the options?
Thanks.

Also wondering!
same here. I would love to have a setting where it'll automatically turn on the biometric lock after a certain period of time and not just whenever the screen is off.
Guess not

Delayed Lock
finally got tasker to disable my fingerprint scanner and open up google voice command but I can't seem to get it to re-enable my fingerprint scanner which is slightly frustrating. Any ideas on how?
Also is there a way to get tasker to recognize the button press on my BT headset? I can get autovoice and bluetooth launch to recognize but autovoice overrides google voice and bt launch doesnt work with the fingerprint scanner on..

Hi,
I got it working successfully with secure settings.
To enable fingerprint in Tasker: Plugin > Secure Settings > Configuration > Custom ROM Actions > Samsung Fingerprint Lock > On
To disable fingerprint in Tasker: Plugin > Secure Settings > Configuration > Custom ROM Actions > Samsung Fingerprint Lock > Off

I have my note 4 rooted and used tasker and secure settings without issue on my S4. On my note 4 when add the task for the fingerprint scanner I noticed that secure settings cannot detect the current status of fingerprint scan.
Secure settings can tell me any of the other lock screen status.
Can you check yours and see if your secure settings has a current status on the screen where you choose on off toggle
thanks

Hi,
You're right it doesn't detect the status.
It can disable it, but it's always shown as "activated" in phone settings.
Liking the fingerprint unlock from the lock screen, but want to disable the vibration feedback. Is there a way to disable it?
Already disabled vibration feedback in keyboard and in audio settings. Can't find any setting for it in the fingerprint options.

wait ? I just know fingerprint lock screen has a vibration feedback because you post it here. My phone have no vibration at all while unlocking. All vibration settings are turned off in my phone.
Oh and I've been trying to disable it... wonder how I enabled it in the first place. Maybe it is a different default setting on different firmware versions of kit kat or smth.

Disable vibrate on fingerprint
Go to settings > Sounds > Vibration Intensity
Set Notification to lowest.
Thank you this worked Don't know how I missed it.
But it disables the vibration feedback completely? Not only on fingerprint?
At least fingerprint is now worth using, too annoying with the vibration every time Thank you

idk how many have observed this, but any kind of authentication from the bellow is disabled if you use a third party app / widget to lock your device :
Fingerprint | Trusted Face | Trusted Voice
I have tried using multiple apps / widgets that will turn off my screen or lock the device and added it as a gesture to my nova launcher's double tap gesture. so that i get double tap to lock screen on homescreen...
But this disables fp. I read somewhere that a tasker plugin can be used ...i tried it when i was on cm13 but that plugin actually enters the pin for you after you lock. meaning you lose security.
using the "turn off screen" option in buttons does keep the fp enabled. So ive currently kept long press back button to lock...and fp works... but this option isn't available through any settings shortcut or any other way...
So, if anyone finds any solution please let me know!
Thankyou!
I had accidentally turned on Talkback, now when I try and turn it back off, the Settings screen will not scroll down to Accessibility. I Can't get this to SHUT UP!!!!
I think this is a glich in the STOCK ROM, or it's an undocumented secret.....
I found the solution... Below...
But there is still a glich when Talkback is active. The phone will NOT SCROLL when this feature is speaking...
If you have inadvertently enabled Talkback, you can quickly pause it, and then go back to disable this feature.
Anywhere on the screen, swipe down then right in a single motion, as if you were drawing an “L”.
Note: This should work whether the phone is on the lock screen or unlocked.
You will then see 2 options in the top corners of the screen, select “Pause Feedback”.
When the Suspend Talkback message appears, double tap “OK”.
You can now normally go into Settings > Accessibility and disable talkback

Reboot your phone and try again, also... no need to post multiple times, we all have lives and will try to help when we can. I am not using a stock ROM so I can't check this for you, but I'm sure someone will be around soon to try to help.
I didn't mean to double post, this site gave me an error in my browser and didn't think it posed, so I did a refresh then posted, sorry..
