aosip rom - OnePlus 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

How is aosip Rom?

If your looking for stable, battery and all features working without network drops legend rom is brilliant.

Thx, i will try it

On aosip everything is stable too but the battery is a little bit better for me (and i love slim recents xD).
But legendary is better for performance.

Legend battery life for me is second to none. Great tweaks to it as well.

battery life now and in the future

I would like to know the opinion of you guys about the battery life of the Find 5 and possible future improvements.
Using the latest AOSP ROMS (in my case @maxwen AOKP, Aarons's PA 3.99 and CodefireX) I noticed that battery life is much better then on Oppo's Color ROM, yet it's still far from what I would expect from the device, I barely get more that 2 - 3 hours of screen time out of it on a daily basis. Compared to my last phone (S3) it's actually pretty bad.
Is there a chance that this is due to still poor sw sources from Oppo and might likely improve in the future or is the current battery life as good as it gets, what do you think?

Well, I hope the battery life gets better overall, I get around 3-4 hours on screen time, and that's pretty darn good. Using Spotify/Soundcloud all day long aswell as webbrowsing, Reddit, Twitter and Facebook. I guess the battery life is OK, but I hope it'll get better.
This phone got almost the same batterylife as my S3 4G, which is pretty bad. :/
And I wouldn't hope for Oppo to improve their sources, since it seems like they've no idea what they're doing. ColorROM is still a huge mess!

Thanks,
I agree that Color Rom is a nightmare but one can hope...
You seem to use your phone pretty much the same way I do but with somewhat better battery life. May I ask which rom/kernel you are using?
I'm currently on AOKP nightly from 28th September

Using latest CodefireX rom with audio fix, I've disabled some system things which seems to help with the battery. Just give me a PM if you want to know exactly what things I've disabled and how I've setup my phone!
Cheers,

I can't understand why everyone says he gets better batterylife with custom roms.
I tried the latest AOSP, PA, Cyanogenmod and gave them all a chance. I even changed the settings that hard, that i couldn't say it was a smartphone anymore... but i've never noticed better batterylife than with any color rom! And all the bugs on custom roms...
Actually i run Color ROM 1.0.1 (4.2.2)
Just bevore i ran Stable Cyanogenmod 10.1.3, PA 3.99, AOKP Maxween
Did you get other experience with the same roms or did you use other roms?

for me, I'm using the CM10.2 by maxwen / etc... definitely much better battery life, especially when on idle/screen-off/sleep... I can make the phone last >24 hours (couldn't do it with the original oppo rom)
settings that I've been using on that kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=45835020&postcount=152

Ok. Yes, above 24h would be difficult with the color rom. But i never tried to reach 24h with cpu & gpu underclocking...
I think i use my phone relative often and with the ColorRom 4.2.2 i easily reach 12-14h.
And my thoughts on custom roms were, that wehen i have onscreen time i can watch them percents battery life falling and because of this i only got about 6-8h battery life with almost every Custom Rom.
I will post some screenshots of the batterylife with the ColorRom later this day and let you interpret them, ok?

Best ROMs according to users

As the title suggests, all the Moto x play users are invited to tell which ROMs they used and term as best.
The criteria is all you can choose from like fluidity, features, stability, battery life, etc
So start flashing new ROMs and keep posting in the thread.
Enjoy Flashaholics...
In my opinion Resurrection Remix has the best combination of features and it is very stable, but it could have better battery life and fluidity (I read that the next release will be more fluid)
CrDroid has the most commonly used features, it lacks some bells and whistles but it provides good battery life.
Using RR with squid's kernel, the device performs superbly, but yes, as @alresave mentioned, the battery life could be a little better.
Haven't used it personally, but for performance and battery life, I'd recommend you go for Tesla since its mostly AOSP and much more stable and fluid.
For me Cm13 with squid kernel

How is battery life vs stock for you? Also, does CM13 support ambient display?
I thought I saw temasek say his CM13 was tweaked to include it.
I just found out that the stock ROM doesn't support hotplugging, which I thought only had to do with the ROM. I'm wondering if I would get bettery battery life using CM13(due to hotplugging, mainly,) but also wondering if there are any noticeable hiccups still.

Cm13 does have ambient display - showing notifications, clock etc.
On stock with my setting - I don't used greenify and such apps i got about 6-7 SOT with a little below 40 h mark without charger. I am using CM13 with squid kernel for about 24h and needles to say the battery life will be a little worse due to changing kernel settings flashing CM13 nightly update etc . The kernel needs to be left alone for a few days to settle which gives best results. Latest 0407 nightly build with squid kernel 16b with interactive governor will give 5-6 SOT IMO.
To put the battery life in perspective - my friend has stock HTC Desire Eye and he has to charge it every day with medium usage and maybe 3 sot.
From the next nightly ota update i will be using cm13 without any extra kernel just to see how the basic kernel performs and that the basic battery life is

I am on Blisspop and man its got everything I need. It's stable and slick. Battery life has to be checked. Blisspop and RR are very similar in features they offer. Tried both of them.
The logo of RR is very slick and nice. Even the boot animation is really nice.

I miss SlimPIE. Some ROMs even say they have it but have PAPIE or CMPIE.
Gotta say the best rom was stock 5.1 but I found Tesla Rom to be stupid snappy regardless of kernel. Battery for whatever reason has been crap for me but most users in the thread report an amazing battery life. I've only had it for a day so I guess I'll let things settle and see if the rom does the trick after all.
I tried AICP and Bliss, and Bliss with ultra kernel r5 works fine!
If you want battery go with any slim based Rom's. That will be for battery- I tried orion- one bug each time I reboot data Sim got switched to primary slot.
Now I am sticking with Stock due to it's smart Sim feature.
I am on validus right now and it seems better than RR in terms of performance.

In Which ROMS
Stock rom or a debloated stock rom like marshmallux or GtrCraft are my personal favorite's for smoothness and battery life.

Which custom ROM gives the best battery Life...!!!?!!!

First of all thanks to all developers who are providing us such an awesome custom roms for lenovo k50 series. I appreciate their hard work.
I have only one question for all developers as well as junior and senior members in this community who are regularly flashing custom roms on their devices>>
which custom rom gives the best battery life for lenovo k3 note/k50-t5 ?
Please comment below and let us all know, up till now which is the best custom rom for lenovo k3 note....!!
I guess you mean the best battery life, in which case I'd like the answer too - more specifically, which K3 Marshmallow ROM gives the best battery life?
Hi all, in my case, i try many roms.
1.- VIBEUI_V3.5_1628_7.142.1 this one make me fell my lemon like a watermelon lol, coz i see it so heavy, but a good timing of battery, like a 5 hours continue of full screen work.
2.- s424_VISNu_Lemmonade this is very fluid, no lag in screen but the time of charge was like a 2 and half hours to charge the battery, much time for me.
3.- the_flash_rom_ota_edition_v6.9.3_1621_by_jdesig frome other page, was so fluid, 4 hours of screen work countinue, 2 hours of charhing battery.
4.- an is the rom that i have now, Ghost_Glich_V6 this one fluid, 4.5 to 5 hours of work screen, and 1.5 hour of charge battery, its stable and i like it lol.
I hope to see your e periences too.

Is over heating issue on custom ROMs is directly related with Battery Life ? Because I noticed that those custom ROMs which have over heating issue , drained battery faster.......!
I used almost every custom ROMs except MIUI ROMs(I honestly don't like the UI) , which are being posted on XDA as well as on needrom..!! Out of which I made a list of few Stable ROMs as given below:
1) BLEND ROM (Stable, Battery drain fast, Heating issue)
2)Official VIBEUI_V3.5_1629_7.155.1_DEV_K50-T5 (Stable, Battery life ok)
3)XUI MM 6.0 (Stable, Battery drain fast, Over heating issue)
4)AOSP PURE St 1.5 (Stable, Battery drain fast, Heating issue)
5)Ghost Glitch v6 (Stable, Good battery life, NO heating issue, Except so many useless Apps)
6)VIBE PURE St 1 (Stable, Heating issue, Battery life ok, VR support)
7)Androium VUI K3N (Stable, NO heating issue, Battery life ok, OTA support, VR support)
8)Paranoid Android V3 Final Version (Stable as compared with other CM based ROMs, Heating issue, Battery drain fast)
9)UNOFFICIAL CyanogenMod 12.1 Final (Stable, Battery life ok, Touch sensitivity Issue)
10)Resurrection Remix (Stable, Battery drain fast, Heating issue)
11)BLISSPOP UNOFFICIAL (Stable, Heating issue, Battery drain fast)
I also flash so many CM based ROMs like CM 13, AICP 10, AICP 11 etc. on my device, but there are so many bugs in it .
We don't know when we get the BEST Stable ROMs..!! But, I definitely request the BLEND ROM developer "Indian Tigers" please give us a new update on BLEND ROM. And one more thing guys - ANTUTU Benchmark scores are useless. There is no need to overclock the CPUs, in daily usage basis we expect stable, good battery life and new added features in our devices.
Custom version of s427 is pretty much good by fran123 on needrom.. I'm using his rom and its stable and battery life is ok..
For me best Battery life is Androium VUI 1 (OTA AIUM 1,2)
Just charging battery takes over 6 hours of.

and here:

I have found the stable Cyanogenmod 12.1 ST5 ROM to be quite good.
Guys, I am using this ROM "http://www.needrom.com/download/paranoid-android-v3-final-version/" from needrom and applying this patch from "http://forum.xda-developers.com/k3-note/development/patch-lagfix-rom-t3466057" developed By sandeep.sethi. I am using this ROM around two & a half weeks. I must say this the best and stable ROM available on cyanogenmod base. Heating issue was solved by applying this patch as well as battery life increases. Thanks a lot for providing us such a valuable patch. This patch saves so many ROMs life and increase the performance level......!!!!!
I tested many roms regarding the battery life in the past and reported all the results in the Index Thread with screens and all. One of the very best for battery is SudaMod and I'm still using it.
Actually there is no rom right now give such that...the android itself make battery life short.
Google has develope new android 7 nougat & state that it has improve the battery consuming power for smartphone
I'm very happy with the italian rom MM 6.0 1621 (and 1609 with google dialer) from the italian developer Cuoco92. It has a very good battery life, plus other little features like the touch on status bar clock to shut off the display and so on.
The only thing that I don't like is the showing of numbers on dialer and dial list. I resolved installing Truecaller.
The rom is in the Cuoco92's channel at androidfilehost.

Rom recommendation

Hi everyone, I m currently on oxygen os 3.5.9 and my battery drains like crazy. Can you guys please recommend me a rom that gives good screen on time. I am even willing to downgrade to lollipop because battery life is really crucial for me. Thanks!!
I'm in the same case, looking for the best choice with the maximum stability and good battery life
I tried so but returned to LineAge even if the battery life is not really good but the ROM is the most stable ever now
Tonight will try Carbon to test, but if someone found the best compromise in one ROM That it notifies us
Try AOSCP. It's really good.
Moyses I tried lineage and yes the same issue battery is not that great. Hopefully we will find a good battery friendly rom. Let me know how the carbon rom works for you.
Ny_3 thanks I will check it out. What's the average screen on time that you get with this rom?
I would either recommend AospExtended/AEX or Resurrection Remix if you like customizability. I am using AEX and don't have any problems with battery life.

Well I've got 3 and a half hours of SOT but it's really the best I've got on a custom rom (guess my battery is bad). I actually bought a new battery 2 days ago so I will have to check how it is after that. But thats basicaly what I get most of the time using FB messenger Spotify and YouTube. Keep in mind its not full of features. It's kinda like Paranoid 6 : Smooth, not full of features, and really stable.

Battery life

I would like to know which rom has better battery optimization, since the ones I have used do not last long.
