I just bought 32GB sandisk sd and I tried every known way to create ext partition but every time I got the same, ıt creates an "OTHER" partition.
Please donot suggest these options.
UBUNTU 10.10 (I have dual boot on PC)
Mni Partition tool
Easeus Partition tool
CMW
I guess it is hardware (SD CARD) problem. do you know any sollition
Also I searched in forum, there is no same problem :S
am I only one who has THE problem??!!
no body? :/
Try partitioning your SD card through CWM. Keep in mind that doing this WILL ERASE EVERYTHING ON YOUR SD CARD!!
Go to CWM, choose advanced, partition SD card.
First choices are for EXT partition, choose 1024MB, 0 for Swap.
Once completed, mount usb storage, throw a backup or install your new rom.
I tryed that to but its no longer a problem I just broke it to 4-5 parts
Maybe try GParted, I partitioned my 8GB card with it.
I want that 32 gb card. T-T Sad... xD
Sorry about you having to waste your money on something that didn't work though. ._.
Well a 16 gb card will work.
experiencing the same problem - i have a 32GB card and when partitioned it is read as "OTHER" have no idea why 2GB, 4GB and 8GB will work but 32GB cant be partitioned to a2SD
need help fixing this problem
Guys please I need help. I am with an unofficial CM13 rom. Everything was fine until trying to flash Xposed I realized that my recovery can't mount the SD I have earlier formatted as internal. Wanted marshmallow so much especially because of that SD adoption. But didn't know that will make unable to use my custom recovery after that. Any suggestions?

You can always reformat your SD...
Formatting SD as internal in MM will cause that you can just use the SD Card on Android 6 as Internal. Recovery wont recognize, that its an SD Card. You could reformat SD as external again and than you should be able to use SD Card in recovery again. But I guess that shouldnt be a problem bec you can flash files from internal (which is also ur SD Card) too.
I have a SanDisk 32GB Class10 SDHC MicroSD card which was working fine with AOSP EXTENDED 4.4 in Adopted Storage mode in ext4 format by default.
One day it just stopped working on it's own showing a "Corrupted" error in storage settings.
So I reformatted the card in Android again as Adopted Storage, and it successfully completed the formatting.
But it started showing a new error "Corrupted/f2fs"
And has never worked ever since.
I have no clue why this formatting in Adopted Storage is changing it's file system to f2fs, as it was ext4 earlier in the same room.
I tried formatting through Windows and then in Android Adopted Storage settings but ended up with the same error "Corrupted/f2fs".
I did some research to find out abt f2fs and so I rechecked if my /system and /data partitions have ext4 as the file system, which I found true.
So there could be no reason for a rom flashed on a ext4 based /system and /data partion to format a SD card to a f2fs filesystem.
I tried changing roms to AOSP EXTENDED 4.5, RR 5.8.4 but formatting as Adopted Storage no longer works on this card.
Although formatting as portable storage works just fine.
I tried with another SanDisk 2GB card and it started showing the same error "Corrupted/f2fs".
I need some confirmation on, if the SD card is kinda half dead or something and needs to be changed.
Hi all...
I have a Micro SDCard under the brand "Sandisk Ultra", class 10 which is formatted fat32 (now I format again to ExFat) size 32Gb.
My device is S4-i9500 using MBP-v5-PF1 ROM. Now I'm using recovery with TWRP version 3.1.1.
So my problem here is that my Micro SDCard is not read through TWRP (Micro SDCard = 0 mb). But here, when I turn on my device, I can see that my Micro SDCard is read through the ES Explorer app. Strangely again, when I tried to insert Micro SDCard class 4, it was read in TWRP, either formatted fat32 or ExFat. So I really need an explanation of where the problem lies? Thank you for your help.
Regards.
So my problem lies in forgetting to change the partition type. It turned out that Micro SDCard mine is still logical type, should be changed to Primary. That is all. So my problem is over. :victory:
Hello,
Is there anyway I can partition why sd card to have both fat32 and ext2 without having windows asking for format or keep getting sd card is corrupted on my s7. I need this for link2sd plus. I need an answer soon as I will be reinstalling my s7 edge custom rom.
Nevermind as I found a partition sd card in twrp (odd as I thought it was removed.)
