I have an N10 that seems to be charging slow.
I put a kill-a-watt on it and it showed it was only drawing .13 Amps while charging.
This isn't normal is it?
Try with other usb cable 1st...
Then try with other charger....
Usually is the usb cable that cause slow charging due to aging or mishandling the usb cable...

Try the micro usb charging instead...

Your reading of 0.13 Amps on the "kill-a-watt" meter is normal. That reading is based on 115 Volts. The Power (P) that your device is using to charge itself is P = Volts x Amps = 0.13 x 115 = 14.95 Watts.
Power is constant, but your device uses 5 Volts for charging.
So on the 5 Volt side, it is drawing 14.95 Watts / 5 Volts = 2.99 Amps

Mine has a similar issue, where it takes forever to charge, but it will last weeks on a charge if left a lone and hours using it hard.
If yes, Then let me know which brand of charger should i buy!

I think it only supports QC 2.0, though the QC 2.0 charger does not come out of the box. But imo, who needs fast charging when the battery life can last up to 2-3 days with this phone.
in it's specs sheet in gsmarena quick charge 3.0 is listed. That's why i asked.
anyway, what's the best quick charge 2.0 charger out there? and will that charge the device faster than the original charger?

The 625 snapdragon processor does support Quick Charge 3.0, but Xiaomi prohibits using it i guess to cut cost, i know some user who try to use QC 3.0 on this phone but it doesn't work, to be honest i'm also not sure about QC 2.0, my advice is you should try testing it first by borrowing QC 2.0 charger with some of your friends/relatives that has QC 2.0 charger before attempting to buy one.

No QC 2.0 support for me, tested with new xiaomi powerbank 10000mAh, ampere show max usb current 500 mAh instead of 2000 mAh. However from measurement I can get 1700-2000mAh so still charging fast enough.
Redmi 4 supports Fast Charging (i.e. about 2A), not any form of Quick Charge. The chipset supports it, but as Xiaomi have decided not to pay Qualcomm the royalties they charge for QC, it's disabled at a low level in the phone. It might be possible to enable it via custom kernel, but I don't think it's been done yet if so.

you mean that from the measurement you're getting a CURRENT reading of 1.700 to 2.000 Amps, right? Because mAh is the capacity measurement while A or mA is the current measurement?
To be on topic, the hardware inside (global version - snapdragon) and the battery support QC v1-3 specs but quickcharge is disabled.
The phone will charge at 1.8A or 1800 mA for about 10 minutes between 20% and 55%. battery capacity.

CURRENT WILL NOT RAISE ABOVE 2A by now. ONLY VOLTAGE WILL BE INCREASE, but with decreasing current.
I tested a bit :
with QC 3 compactible Aukey PA-T16 charger, Ampere shows 2030mA
with Anker 40W 5 port charger Ampere shows 1830mA.
I have a Redmi 4 (standard edition) and I also have a USB Ammeter/Voltmeter which I can use to measure actual voltage and current flow into the device.
Using a standard 2A charger, the device accepts 4.9-5.1v (average 5.0v) at 1.5A (1500ma), and rarely exceeds this due to the voltage drop of the charger circuit /transformer in the wall plug.
Using a Quick Charge 3.0 charger (Capable of 5v, 9v, 12v and dynamically 5v-12v for QC3.0), I was able to charge the Redmi 4 at 6.2v/2.1A. The peak voltage was 6.24V and peak current 2.4A (momentary).
The Redmi 4 will charge at 6.2v and 2.1A with a Quick Charge 3.0 compatible charger when the battery is totally flat. As with all batteries the current slowly decreases as the internal resistance of the battery increases as it charges.
This is 13 Watts of power, 1.7 times higher than the 7.5 watts provided by the included '2A' charger. Thus, while it does not officially have QC3.0 capability, the device is still able to utilise a slight boost from the chipset's compatibility with higher voltages. Realistically, this means you could cut down on the charge time by around 1/3, and even moreso when charging from, for example, 0%-30%.
So im a little confused as to what the max charging current of the tablet is.
The status page in the settings says its rated for 5 V; 1.55 A (which if true is a little disappointing) but I plugged it into a macbook charger and Ampere measured it at a maximum of 1820 mA.
So im not really sure what the actual max supported charging current is, I was hoping it would be 2A+.
Any ideas?
To power up, you consume Red Bull. But your phone just needs its adaptive fast charger. Rate this thread to express how quickly the Moto G Power can charge. A higher rating indicates that it charges extremely fast.

i don't really notice that, so i did some testing:
i used an old charger from an old htc ( about 8 years old) it charges with 5 volts, 1.5 amp ( so 7.5 watts total), exactly what i'd expect ( it is rated 1.5 amp)
i tried my 10 year old htc adapter, but it wouldn't charge, it would only connect/disconnect and volt and amps were very wonky , it couldn't establish a connection. ( just threw it a way, just in case)
If you use a quickcharger ( the motorola provided with the phone) it charges with 6 volts, 2.8 amps , which is roughly 16.8 volts
if you use a cheap chinese quickcharge, my measurements are 5.6 volts @ 2.7 amp which would be 15 watts , it is a bit less stable.... ( voltage and amperage are a bit wonky, but still charging ok.
further i tried a 5 volt 2 amp ( cheap Chinese) charger, and it charged with exactly 5 volts , 1.5 amps. which is 7.5 watts
so if you have a "decent" charger, you get what is promised, if you use a cheap chinese one you get what you should expect.
So what do you mean exactly with "a bit picky"?

It can charge pretty quickly with Verizon 27 watts PD charger and Motorola 27 watts charger came with One Hyper, and it charge in decent speed with Anker 18 watts charger

I've been analysing my standard charging speeds since getting the OnePlus 8 Pro a few days ago and so far I have been very disappointed.
Phone: OnePlus 8 Pro IN2023
Build: Oxygen OS 11.0.1.1.IN11BA
Battery App: Battery Charging Monitor Pro
After some basic observations when compared with my last phone (Hauwei P30 Pro), I am getting the following charging speeds. Bear in mind the batter levels for both phones are around 70-80%
Anker 10W Wireless Qi Charger - Average Charging Speeds
OnePlus 8 Pro - 500-600 mA
Huawei P30 Pro - 1000-1100 mA
Samsung Wireless Car Charger (Sorry, not sure of the exact model)
OnePlus 8 Pro - 400-500 mA
Huawei P30 Pro - 850-950 mA
Anker 30W 4-port charger / RavPower 30W 3-port charger / Aukey 60W 5-port charger
OnePlus 8 Pro - 950-1050 mA
Huawei P30 Pro - 1600-1800 mA
Xiaomi 20,000 mA Power Bankr
OnePlus 8 Pro - 900-1000 mA
Huawei P30 Pro - 2200-2400 mA
You can see that on each of these tests that the P30 Pro is significantly faster. I don't know what the issue is. but these speeds are really poor. Is there a specific charging speed that the OP 8 Pro requires? Yes, I know the solution is the Warp charger which I haven't used yet. but I only plan to use that when I need a really fast charge and obviously it will only be from the one location. Appreciate any info you can provide. Thank you!

How quick is the warp charger Vs Huaweis offering?
That's the only comparison there should be.
Depends on the device and what current it'll allow.
Theres very few chargers that can keep up with a warp charge.
Think you need to use your oem Warp Charging cable for best scenario..

Defo, also my Apple mac Pro (30.watt I think) charger charged nearly as fast as the warp.. Been using it and they phone doesn't go over 38c
Thanks for the replies folks. I've been found a little more experimenting. My UK Wall charger finally arrived and yes, it is far and away the fastest, charging up till 6000 mAh which is great.
It seems the only other decent charging method is via USB Power Delivery. My laptop will charge at around 2000 mAh and my work laptop 65w charger at around 3000 mAh. Both of these I'm quite happy with.
It's just a little slow when using a half decent third part USB charger. I would expect to be a fair bit faster than 1000 mAh which isn't that great. Certainly not a deal breaker.
