This gets embarassing at work where music starts playing through loudspeaker of the phone suddenly. I am using Oneplus 5 in India, latest firmware with Altec Lansing MZW100 bluetooth headset. This happened while using Google Play Music, Skype and Whatsapp Video among others.
Has anyone else had the same problem? Maybe if it's a common problem, I can report this to Oneplus somehow.

I'm in the UK, not india, but i havn't noticed it - or at least if it has happened, it hasn't stopped playing through bluetooth if it has played on a speaker, and no one has screamed at me for playing my music on the bus!

I'm not sure if this has been hit upon or not as a search didn't turn up anything, but when listening to audio, it will stop at random times. Every app I have tried does it (music, listen, doggcatcher, pandora, slacker). Anyone else have this problem? Next time it does it I will try to look at logcat and see if anything unusual is there.

If you are talking about streaming music, it could very well be a network connectivity issue.
I'd try listening to some MP3s that are stored on the phone (no streaming). If you still have intermittent sounds, then you should probably look into getting an exchange.
yeah I have also had this problem with playing mp3s and I have tried a few different music players.
yeah i have had this problemo too...thought it was just the track, but i guess it is the phone. and it was an mp3 not streaming from pandora or anything like that.
Nope it also happens when I am listening to music... audio just stops! Pisses me off... hopefully the OTA update fixes this

Happens to me as well. I have not noticed it since I switched to my bluetooth stereo headset though. Might it be something involving the wired headset? (I think it has happened to me on bt as well but it does not occur nearly as often if that is the case.)
Hi everyone
Is anyone else having problems with Spotify on their Nexus 4? On mine, certain songs will start very loudly deafening me if I am wearing headphones, before going back to the set volume. The only fix that I have found is to install a previous version of spotify.
However, that still does not fix my streaming problems, as while streaming to Bluetooth speakers, the wifi turns itself off and on again every now and then, stopping my streaming!
Am I the only one with these problems or are they more widespread?
Hi,
Often, while listening to music in my car, the audio will randomly, and spontaneously, pause for no apparent reason. Sometimes it will start up again after a few seconds, but usually I'll have to hit 'play' myself. This problem is particularly apparent in Spotify, but it has happened in YouTube and Google Play Music as well. Has anyone else experienced this?
Are you plugged in? My first thought is a loose (or breaking) 3.5 mm cord.
Playback in any of those apps will auto pause when a connection is lost (bt or a cord). If you're on bt do other phones do the same thing?

Nope, connected via BT to my car's audio system. Didn't have this problem on my OnePlus One.
This happened to me and I was paying through my speakers

The last two days I have this problem too.
Parrot carkit,Lg watch,ue megaboom.
The music is sometimes lost, and then it starts again.
On my megaboom it cracks a lot.
Very annoying.
Frank_Murphy,
I have this issue as well only with the Google Music app. I can't find the source where I read it but it has something to do with the app and if there is an available video; Some songs have a wallpaper or something and some you can play a music video in the app for the song instead. You just have to hit the back/forward button and it resumes.

Hi there,
i was wondering if anyone experienced same issue happening to me with my Nova Plus. Random garbled/distorted sound only through Bluetooth. This happens only for voice calls through bluetooth, during each conversation random the sound is distorted, recovers and distorts again. it's impossible to keep a normal conversation. streaming music through bluettoth is fine though with the same equipment. i experience this issue so far in my car and with my bluetooth headphones.
I will try to re-pair them again but it's too much of a coincidence that two devices got bad paired. Hopefully that's the only reason. Any other suggestions i could try?
I'm not concerned on my Nova but I was on my old Samsung Galaxy S5 on custom ROM. It was a kernel related issue if I'm not wrong. Hope it will be fixed soon. As for me on my Nova I have an issue with audio like podcast that doesn't play. These Huawei phones are attractive ones but definitely not ready for daily use. Weird
**Update**
So i have an update on this. i've noticed that whenever i receive a call from my headphones or being in the car my phone is on wifi. yeah i know i got my own wifi following me everywhere . anyways, i tried and disconnected the wifi being on my headphones and received a call. no more distorted audio. have to check that in my car as well.
any update on this issue? I just got the Nova Plus. I like it but this bluetooth audio issue is making me unhappy
hey guys, i have a kind of annoying issue with my speaker:
When playing music or video (YouTube, music player,
video player) the sound gets cut out for a few seconds, the phone makes a static sound and then the music comes back.
With headphones this bug is not there, nor with Bluetooth speaker. Only when playing sound thorough the phone's speaker this bug occurs.
It occurs exactly every 2 minutes (120secs), then after 2 or 3 seconds it goes back to normal.
Does anyone have the same issue or any possible solutions i can try.

Regarding the Spotify bug you have to disable the equalizer in Spotify settings and your bug will be fixed.
My issue was resolved after a 2.2GB update.
It works like it should. Hopefully you'll get an update soon too and the problem will be gone
