I've seen that when I record a video, the back camera's microphone seems to focus on the right speaker and the front camera's microphone on the left speaker. Is there any way that I can fix that?
I recently opened my phone up to replace my broken lcd assembly and everything seem to work fine besides the speakerphone mic. When i make a phone call the regular mic works just fine, but when i switch to speakerphone the person on the other end cant hear me. Also when trying to test the camera via snapchat and asr recording app it appears the camera mic is the culprit. How do i go about fixing or repairing this problem? Where would the camera mic be located? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Has anyone encountered such an issue? Do you know if the microphone is replaceable?
Hi, just bought mi a1 and the phone seems perfect, except for a REALLY annoying issue: I pretty much can't listen to Whatsapp audio when I put the phone close to my ears, just like I always did with my old S3 neo, and it was perfect there. Whatsapp is updated to latest version by the way , and it gave no problems on the older phone. Can it be a software issue? Because if it's the hardware I'm probably going to to a refund, considering this is one of the most important features for me.
Thanks
Im pretty sure the audio you are trying to listening to is not of respectable quality... try playing some other audio which plays well on other devices too, and maybe some other apps too like YouTube...
No you understood it wrong, I meant that maybe the proximity sensor fails or the problem is software
Its working absolutely fine for me! No issues listening whatsapp audio from the earpiece.
Proximity sensor is working like a charm!
The thing is, when I listen an audio and put my ears on the proximity sensor it touches the screen or I exits the mode and uses speaker.. maybe cause I've got long hair? Lol hope it's a software problem
BTW, audio calls work perfectly
i have the same problem, only in the left ear the sensor worked fine the whatsapp audio.. i dont now why
Working fine..

Click to collapse
That's strange that audio calls works perfectly.
But anyway try to recalibrate your light and proximity sensors:
Dial in *#*#6484#*#*
Select ALS/PS (ambient light sensor/proximity sensor)
Recalibrate
I'm having the same problem. I factory reseted my phone, and for an hour or so, it was working fine. But after a while the problem returned. Does anyone have a fix ? Is it a hardware issue or a software issue? Thanks a bunch!
Btw edit : it's happening with audio calls as well .
Phone's mic got crashed and not working while calling and using camera, but it works in loudspeaker. Is there any way to make that mic work in camera and normal call too?
Seems like a software bug. Try formatting the ROM...
Hi guys, i have an old problem but i never found out how to fix it, so When i have a call, incoming or outgoing, the screen does not turn off when i am on speaker or headphones wired or bluetooth, but only on normal use with the phone near my ear. How is yours? Is it a common issue or just for me? Thank you
Doesn't it work like this? When on phone proximity sensor works, so you don't press buttons, but on speaker or headphones sensor is not active?
No, if the phone is on my pocket the screen is active if i have the headphones connected
Nobody with this problem?
You have to check proximity sensor - search for app in play store
Which ROM do you use?
I did, the sensor is working very well. The issue is on headphones or speaker. The rom is official, rooted
