Thinking about buying one of these & the deciding factor is if there are any custom roms.
Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6" 16GB Black Wi-Fi SM-T560NZKUXARI currently have a Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 & have been running a custom rom for quite awhile now & if I buy another tablet I would want to root it & install a custom rom.
Thank you
Mark

Hello,
I'd like to know if someone as try to install the galaxy note ROM onto the Tab 10.1 to get all functionaly such as Premium Suite
thx for answers
Don't think it's possible.
Installing a gnote rom on a gtab device? I think not, unless they want a hard brick. They're two different devices with different hardware. Porting the gnote firmware is one thing, but still, they're two different devices with different hardware so not everything could be ported successfully.

Hello guys
I am thinking of buying a galaxy tab 4 8.0
But i want to know if the custom roms of tab 4 10.1 also run on 8.0
Do they?
Because i want install slimrom with android 5.0.1 on it =) =)
Roms for different screen sizes wont work on a smaller or bigger device. Someone would need to rebuild or port it over to fit the tab 4 8.0

Resolutions for the tab 4 10.1 & 8.0 are 1280x800/800x1280 - the same except one defaults to landscape [10.1] the other, to portrait [8.0]
The issue I've been having is related to display [ion stuff] , I either get a black screen or hang at boot animation.
I'll figure it out when i learn some more, till then ... :silly:
You can likely use the same device tree as the tab 10.1 to build for the 8.0 with minimal modifications.

Hi All,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 WiFi SM-T330 , does anyone know if it can be flashed yet? I need to get rid of touchwiz so a stock rom would be great, Cynogen would be great, but i can only see reports for the SM-T530.
Does anyone know of progress for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 WiFi SM-T330 ?
Cheers,
Dan

Sorry be the first to tell you, but TW is the only ROM available for this device..
There are some ports in the works, but don't hold your breath..

Just going to ask, which rom is TW?
-thedroidman
EDIT: I think it's Touchwiz if i'm correct.
It's Touchwiz, we just call it TW for short..
On the note that your looking for a custom rom, there is one in development, but its not yet ready for release as of yet since it has issues with WiFi and sound.. There is much promise, but don't ask for an ETA.. We have no idea when it will be ready, this is our first port on our own..
You can try a slimmed down version of your Stock rom with SuperStocked by MarkusMcNugen who is no longer supporting it, or answering PMs or messages.. Its what I'm using right now.. It's just a slimmed down DeKnoxed and DeSamsunged version that works very well..
It has few bugs worth mentioning.. Give it a try
You will need a custom recovery to flash this..

Hi guys
Iv got a tab 4 as a gift running kitkat 4.4.2
I would like to install a custom rom as it looks very old and cranky, even though its only a 2014 tablet (why the hell samsung didn't update this I'll never know)
Iv installed Twrp,
I see there seems to be a limited number of roms for this device, any advice would be great.
I was looking at the moonlight rom. Apparently it works with the tab 4 WiFi.
Thanks for your time.

I am looking for a ROM for this device, too. And I didn't find any ROM that is worth rooting my tablet and installing TWRP and things like that... All those ROMs are based on the same system, same android version, except for apps and some theming mods... I don't know why don't they just try to make an AOSP nougat ROM for this device, or porting a TW lollipop ROM to our tablet.
I have Samsung tab 4 Sm-t239 I want to install marshmallow.....presently tab is having android kit kat 4.4.4.....can anybody help
Thanks in advance
Hello, I want to know if there is an oneUI 3.1 custom rom for the samsung galaxy s8 ? or if it is possible to install noble rom oneUI 3.1 for s9 on the s8 ?
Don't install a rom that wasn't made for your device. (Ex. Don't install a rom that was made for the s9 on your s8.)

Not true. Using a One UI (Android 9) Port from the Note 8 for my S6 edge, which was abandoned years ago and it brought back life into a device, which is fully capable of running it. Furthermore, the S8 can run One UI 2.5 flawlessly, so what's the deal if someone would have ported One UI 3.1 back to the S8, when devices like A10-A70 can run it
