The system ui is taking about 18% according to the Gsam battery monitor.
But on the battery setting it says it taking 5% also there this 10260 app that I barely just noticed. How can I stop the system ui and 10260 app from draining my battery and overheating as well?

First, you need spare parts. Go to Battery History and check the % of running time. If its near 100%, your phone isn't sleeping. Next is to find what is causing this issue.
Go to homescreen, hit menu, hit settings. About phone, Battery Use. See what is using the most battery.
Next, go to settings, Applications, running services. See what services are running. If your phone isn't sleeping, its probably one of these services causing it. For me, Coreplayerservice, which is the music player service caused the phone not to sleep.
Spare parts is showing 68% and that's probably because ie been using th phone a lot this morning
Tapatalkin' it from my Epic 4g
You should check the CPU usage next on spare parts...that should show you the apps taking cpu time

ill check that now
68% is very high unless you think that since you unplugged the phone you have literally been using it 2/3 of the time.
If you don't want the full blown Spare Parts app, but want the battery piece then you should download "BatteryHistory" from the market.
Sorry to thread jack, but my usage is 99.2%, thats bad right???

Its not good.
mines at 62% by android system
Ok installed EB01. Everything's working no problem at all. Then I was looking at my battery icon. It was at 40-30 percent then all the sudden drops down to 10% it doesn't even try to hit 30-20 % etc. Is this a known bug or is there a fixed to this? I've tried wipe and battery wipe on the red clock work.I'm clueless what next to do. No task killer. Juice defender etc. Thx

You charged the phone 100% and then cleared battery stats?
Yes.

The fact that you are giving battery life ranges implies that you are judging by the stock battery graphic ib the upper right, which is remarkably misleading.
Install a better battery mod/theme or simply download OS Monitor and look at its Misc tab.
Swyped w/ XDA App. When in doubt, mumble.
Thx I'll do that.

Weird. Download battery % app. Phone battery icon is at full bar. But then app battery % is at 80% . That's weird. This a known bug to EB01 Stock dedoxed?

What I've noticed on some is that they yank the battery when it's full during a bat cycle based off of what the stock image on the upper right says. What is more then likely the case is that you wiped (or didn't wipe) the battery when it was actually at 100% so it reads at 100% when it really is at 80%. Best thing to do is charge the phone till the bat app says 100%, then wipe bat stats after letting it charge for an addl 10 min. Then full cycle the battery and charge again and report back.
I've noticed on the battery monitor, Cell Standby has been draining some battery. I've read this has also plagued the GS3,any fix for my beloved N4? Btw I'm on Franco with Carbon ROM, Nova launcher as well.

Battery drain can be caused by many reasons. Download Better Battery Stats from the play store and find out more information.
It's possible something on your phone prevents it from going into deep sleep.

An alternative to BBS is Wakelock Detect. BTW, poor signal reception causes Cell Standby to suck out a lot of juice. Could you post a screenshot of your battery in settings?
Anybody notice a strange battery drain after some app updates? I don't know which app is causing this because it's not showing in battery stats.
The battery used to be able to last all day with no problem, but is now struggling to.
Android OS and System are both at 18% and 19% and 7 other entries are between 3-5%.
Only thing changed I believe was that I updated some apps along the way and noticed this drain maybe 2 days ago.

Install GSAM battery monitor. It is useful even for non rooted devices. Note 3 has strange battery statistics. What I see in GSAM makes much more sense and alike all previous androids i have owned.

I noticed this too. However I've read that the recent Hangout update is causing battery drains but Google has fixed it and another update should be out soon.

Glad to say that the problem seem to have finally disappeared. Over 9 hours on battery and have 67% left. More than what I had before after 6 hours.

Can I suggest you get 'greenify' from Xposed.
Then use greenify to freeze all background tasks.
Perhaps there is something running while your phone is awake, just a suggestion. Probably not your battery if you get a good life when the screen is off.
Are you using any custom kernel, in case of increased voltage or high frequencies or an aggressive governor.
I use the kernel from omega v23. Can i find the default kernel from note III to flash to my rom?
Thanks

on me too.. if i play a game for a example battery drain so fast..i use stock rom for n900k .. but i have a question..i have a s4 charger 5v/1A and battery discarge if i play..or look on phone..internet etc.. i need a 2A charger? ..
as i can see android "android system " drains a lot of battery .... so if you are rooted you can you app master ( i have used it its a very nice app ) unistall some google apps you dont need or you dont use that much ( you can replace them with similar apps from the market ) also use greenify and any other app that can "clear" your ram i also use gsam battery monitor to check how much battery my phone drains in 1 hour
