MMS will not send

Hey all, I can recieve MMS just fine (does the slideshow thing though) and I can send MMS fine to, but, the people I send the MMS to do not recieve the mms...any thoughts? Is it my end or thiers??

Have you tried sending to yourself to test?

it depends what phones they have and if they have a data plan since some phones require data plan to send and receive photos (G1,mytouch, anything android) well at least on tmo thats how it works

im on the elegancia rom i can send and receive but when i receive them they come in very small. if i send one to myself thats like 300 it comes back as about 7k same from other people.
any help?

I have the same problem on my phone. I can receive pictures fine, but when i send them it says it was succesfully sent but no one gets them. When I send it to myself it works? any suggestions?

AT&T S200 SMS not working

This thing has been bothering me for weeks. I am using AT&T and sms function just won't work. I can send my message and my phone tells me its sent, but the message really didn't go through. I can not receive nor send message in my phone. I wonder are there any setting that I can change?
Also I have tried many ROMs, now I am using Acer official rom still out of luck.

ok nevermind this is kind of silly.... AT&T blocked my SMS function even though I have SMS plan on... call them tmr and my problem should be sloved

Unable to send SMS! Tried everything, i am desperate!

Hello folks... I have an HD2, and i used the very good rom from tytung, nexus hd2 1.3a nativeSD. Everything worked as it should, till one day unexpectedly the phone stopped being able to receive SMS. I can make calls, send sms, but i am unable to receive SMS. I tried asking my friends to send me a text message, and on their phone (whatever the brand) it doesn't send me the message.
This has never happened to me before. I am on Vodafone Portugal. I seem to be barred on the network from receiving SMS, considering that i can make and receive phone calls properly, as well as send sms to others, but not receive them? Super strange thing that i never seen before...
I don't think it's a rom problem, but i decided to try the following just to make sure:
-factory reset
-wipe everything
-full clean install
-restore backup from older date
None worked, and the problem remains... Have you guys seen this happen before?

I can't say I have encountered this in the past but as far as I know, tmobile in the US can block sms from reaching a phone. This is usually done based on a request from a customer who has no wish to pay for text messages. As far as I know the customer could still send texts (and be billed for them) but will not receive any (no need to worry about junk texts).
I have no idea if this could be your situation but thought it may be worth investigating.
If you have another phone which you know can receive text messages maybe you can move the sim card to it and see if incoming sms works. If not, your provider is blocking them from going to your number. If yes, you are back where you started.

Only in America do you pay to receive texts so its unlikely to be this.
That's not to say it isn't a network problem, so @op, first thing would be speak to your network, and try a different sim.

Sad but probably very true. Our telcos are twisted.
Anyway, I was hoping to illustrate that the provider/network could be the culprit so I think we basically agree.

Problem is fixed! turns out it was network related, and i can now receive SMS. Thanks anyway folks!

Unable to make or receive phone calls but Data works, Please help.

I have an unlocked sprint S7 SM-G935P edge. I was initially able to make and recieve calls, I went abroad on a vacation and put a local sim and it was working over there too, after I came back I was able to make one phone call and after that I am having a hard time receiving anymore phone calls, It's a hit /miss situation. I am able to make phone calls but there is a huge delay from the time I dial to the time it connects. My data works fine the only problem there is I sometimes get like 20 copies of any texts I receive . My software version is G935PV5BQL1 . I know the Tmobile firmware doesn't support this baseband & I'm using Tmobile right now , is there a universal firmware which is compatible to the baseband and which can solve the problem ? I would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks in advance.

Why is my oneplus 6t able to make and recieve calls but not receive sms?

I bought through facebook what he claimed was an unlocked oneplus 6t but when i turned it on i found out it was a tmobile version. Which worried me at first but when data and calls both worked i felt at ease until i found out i couldn't receive sms messages. Does anybody have an idea?

My guess is you're on Verizon?

I have the same issue. I can't receive sms but I can send. And yes, on Verizon, is there a thread already about this issue?
