I'm trying to track galileo satellites with many app (Mobile Topographer Pro, GPS Test, GNSS Test, GPS Status) and I only get GPS and GLONASS
Any idea?

same here - I'm on VKY-L29C432B150 right now (rebranded and OTA updated from VKY-L09C432B123). No Galileo so far with every firmware right now...

two days ago, I watched a Beidou Satellite (214). Probably Galileo is in Beta fase and is activated only for a moment...

I can see Beidou satellites every now and then (sometimes up to 3 of them). Galileo / Beidou are not switched on and off but there are not enough sattelites up there to "see" constantly some of them. Right now there are are even more Galileo satellites (18) available as Beidou (14). If you're patient enough you will see Bediou sattelites and you should see more or less the same amout of Galileo sattelites... But I've never seen a single Galileo sattelite...

Vtr-l29c185b151,had the phone 2 days ago and updated directly didn't test it before.
After OTA-update to VKY-L29C432B162 still no galileo
Still no Galileo on VKY-L29C432B170.
Anybody else than @gm007 having Galileo on his Huawei P10 Plus?
what app are you guys using? and how do I know if mine has Galileo as well?

My P10 also detected Galileo satellites but only using this app:
Sorry, I cannot post links because still have no posted 10 messages in XDA. Anyway the app is in google play under id=com.android.gpstest and is developed by barbeauDev.
I've used a lot of GNSS apps and no other app detected Galileo but this one. Is the same app that user gm007 show in this thread.
My P10 firmware is L29C432B171.
That's very interesting!
Using your app indeed shows millions Galileo but using another app shows me the same amount of satellites but they are labeled as GPS, GLONASS or BEIDOU.
One of this apps must be labeling the satellites wrong...
Huawei P10 don't handle Galileo signal when they are under Androïd 8 or 9... I have a ticket at Huawei support for months but they failed to give me a meaningful answer.

Just purchased a P8 and must say so far it has been impressive. However since the P8 has no fingerprint scanner like the mate 7, i had assumed that the P8 would comes with the 'double tap' screen to unlock gesture same as which exists in huawei G7. Is there anyway to get this feature?

Within the Emui OS it does not appear to offer this function.
The only way that I know of that you could get this to work is by unlocking bootloader, rooting, and installing TricksterMod, then setting double tap to wake within that app.
Worked perfect on my old phone.. should work fine with the P8 as well.
Anyone already tried this on the P8?
If Huawei would send me a bloody unlock code I could answer that for you :/
I don't think that it's that easy. I would think, that it can only be activated of it is implemented in the kernel.
I am on the EMUI 3.1 5.1.1 BETA and there's a feature for double tap to wake.

Shouldn't be too long I'd hope, as Honor has been sending out press releases saying it's inviting people to test 5.1 for devices, and they're all on KitKat, so I'd assume the P8 will get 5.1 soon too.
I am amazed double tap isn't an option on the P8 given it is on so many other Huawei/Honor devices running EMUI3.0. Did they just forget or something?

Maybe I wasn't clear in my previous post.
I miss the double tap feature that was on the Find 7, which I can now enjoy on the P8.

B153 is the latest official firmware for UL00.
B141 is at least a month old now.

Well, I can see more than 20 sats on may Moto X Play at a time. So one can assume, it uses Glonass too, considering theres 24 GPS sats around the globe.

Thanks for your response. To confirm X Play does support GLONASS, can you please install the simple and lightweight "GPS Test" app from play store and check if your device has locked on to satellites numbered 65 to 88, which are the GLONASS satellites.

So Huawei devices have been having a lot of problems with Android Auto, the Mate 9 and Mate 9 Pro inclusive. They cannot connect and leave the screen in the car black after a connection attempt has been made.
Huawei is working on this and it should be fixed in OTAs, which some users of other devices reported to be the case for them.
Since I'm stuck on the European version C432, I haven't gotten any OTAs since B156. Is anybody on newer firmwares able to test if the problem has been solved for them?

Works fine for me on C432B181. Worked on B176 too. Didn't try on B138/B156.

I used funky Huawei. No ota love for Swedes using a Mate 9 from Germany. There is a new way though that you could try if you want...

Yeah, it's great news. Doesn't seem to work for the Mate 9 Pro yet, since it doesn't have a SD card. But there must be a way around this.
Hope updating to newer firmware will fix the problems with Android Auto, since this is my biggest concern with this phone.

No problems whatsoever for me either. Mine works perfectly.
However, when I had my Note 4 I had to jump through a lot of hoops to get it to work. It took weeks of investigation and trial and error. It's simply a very inconsistent app. And from my experience, type of car and google services version play as much of a role as your phone's firmware does. Visit any other phone sub forum if you need proof of that. It gives problems on all phones.
Actually, once AA refused to connect. Only way to fix it was to redownload and reinstall Android Auto. Make sure you're on the latest version too.
It didn't leave the screen black though, just refused to connect.
Latest is 2.2.710804, and you should probably get the arm64 version.
I had to get it from apkmirror as it's not released in Sweden yet.
I guess it's worth a shot to reinstall/update.

Oh.. then it doesn't make sense.. might still be the case, as I have the Mate 9 Pro.
Any change? Just got a vw golf with android auto and am mega frustrated. Black screen because the phone keeps switching from USB data using mtp to USB charge only.

You can and are supposed to use charge only for Android Auto, not mtp.

Unfortunately not (one of the things I miss soooo much from my Mi Mix 3)
You can only hide apps in the pseudo second space that Oneplus has created

Or you can use the app Island to that purpose (at least if I understand this correctly ) - can be found on the playstore...
