Right now I'm not able to receive any texts. I can send them but for some reason i can't get them. Not sure what to do right now
Make sure you haven't hit the notifications off for messages ive done that before?

Is anyone else having issues sending MMS messages after rooting? I can receive them but they will not send. I've tried the Samsung messaging app and Hangouts. Both sit at "sending" for a long time before saying it couldn't be sent.

did you contact your carrier? unless you messed around or removed somethin after root i dont see root alone causing this issue.. i can send mms fine here

I figured it out. The first thing I installed after rooting was Adblock Plus. I uninstalled that and now they're working again. I don't understand why ABP would mess with MMS messages but it was definitely the problem.
Im using the stock sms app and I blocked a number but I still get notified when I get an sms from that number, it was my understanding that it will be archived but its not happening for me. Anyone know how to fix this?
Ask them to stop texting you. Eventually 7/10 times they will cease, just wait them out. Give them what they want.
If it. Continues and they threaten you then you have a case for harassment

Textra lets you blacklist people, you will no notifications.
I keep having issues with the messaging app built in. Only when I get messages from iphones it always shows the download message box and I have to hit it. I'd there a better messaging app where I don't have to do that? My s6 didn't do that with stock messaging.

Group messages from iPhones? Your phone is trying to receive an MMS and you might have the auto download MMS off in the settings of your messaging app.
Thanks finally found that part of settings for both group messages and auto download. Let's see if that works.

Seems like if I am using the data for Internet or an app then if someone calls it doesn't ring or get logged. Just goes right to voice message. If phone is just idle it seems like I get normal calls and call logging. Anyone else? Any ideas on how to fix? At&t 935f (phone is from Italy).

Have you modified the phone in any way? Disabled or frozen any apps, for example.
Still stock no root. I disabled Gmail only

So just recently my phone started to not receive all of the text messages. My girlfriend sent me 7 texts on night but I didn't receive any of them. Then the next day it started working fine. I still never received the messages from the other night. Then I find out one of my friends sent me a text that I never received a couple days ago. Is anyone else not receiving all of there text messages. It seems to be working right now but I have no idea why I never got those messages.
Hangouts has not been giving me texts either. Are you using native text message app?

Same thing has been happening on my phone w/ verizon. I got like 5 text messages at once, and several of them were from the night before that I never got. One thing I might mention is I haven't taken the software update that keep nagging me every 12 hours lol

I'm using the native text app. I'm just wondering if my sim card could be acting up and causing the issue.
