Is there any more possible details?

If you want any of your data, no. Try flashing STOCK (i.e. Android 6.0.1) firmware with Odin, then manually download and flash the update prior to Nougat, then flash Nougat via .zip. droidviews.com has an excellent tutorial.

yes. it was un-ticked.
I am able to flash via recovery but not via odin.
Is there anyway to flash the official rom via recovery? or can I get flashable stock roms?

So,flash a custom rom via recovery and try after that flashing a stock rom with Odin
Official roms are intended for flashing with Odin or OTA,they are not in zip format but in
.tar
Or do a factory reset, you loose root and custom recovery and flash official rom from Sammobile via Odin

Root Sm-G930P on Android 7.0 (N) PLN

Hello,
I am running an SM-G930P with Nougat PLN firmware. I downgraded it to PK1 Marshmallow firmware to root it, and used this root method: https://idoneapps.com/forum/index.php?topic=616.0
It worked perfectly. However, when I tried to use the Nougat update file, it said it was corrupt. When I tried to root it in Nougat, it began bootlooping. Is there any way to root it in Nougat? All I need to really know is how to install TWRP.

There's not a way to root on Nougat yet, especially since it's on a beta firmware. TWRP isn't available on U.S Snapdragon Galaxy S7's as our bootloaders are locked.

What if I downgrade to Android 6.0.1 PL6 firmware, download the firmware file and flash it via FlashFire?

You'd want to downgrade to PL6 and the flash the unlocked PL2 to root, but TWRP still isn't possible.
as many have said. ZERO TWRP UNTIL BOOTLOADER GETS UNLOCKED (which probably won't happen) /thread closed

Way to get official firmware updates or manual update required?

Hello XDA!
I've rooted my phone (the J5) about a week ago after finally deciding it might just help me to some extent.
Well, then I realized I'm still on Android 6.0 and updating obviously doesn't work.
This brings up multiple questions for me:
Is there any way to get the official update?
OR do I have to download it myself and flash it on?
Can I flash Android 7.1 on it without bricking the phone or losing all data?
Can I flash any firmware (or firmware updates) without losing any data?
If anyone could answer my questions, I'd be grateful.
Thanks in advance.

You can't update your phone OTA whule it's rooted. If you want the new 7.1.1 stock you must flash it manualy over odin. If your phone is on stock 6.0.1 the manual flash will not erase any of your data or apps. If you are on a custom rom then it wil erase data. When you install nougat it will be unrooted and with stock recovery.

I understand that, but will it brick the phone or erase the data? The J5 is certainly not made for Android N.

I've used the CF AutoRoot package for the root. Does CF-AR install a custom ROM?
Thanks for the answers.

What version of the J5 2016 do you have? Only install 7.1.1 manualy on the J510FN.
A custom ROM is a software installed over a custom recovery that is totaly different from the stock rom.

Alright, I've got a J500FN, so the dream of Android N is gone.
I didn't use a custom recovery, I used Samsung's Download mode.
This is it. Thanks for your help, ya'll. I'm gonna upgrade to 6.0.1 manually now.

There is no official Nougat for your device, so don't ever try to install tge J510FN version ?????
But there is a ported stock nougat rom for your device on the J5 2015 ROMs section

Any difficulties that will occur doing this? Or can I just download the stock SM-G900F ROM and flash it safely?

Difficulties? Joking? It's rather a tricky process as G900A has a locked bootloader and you want a ROM from another model.
You definitely cannot just flash "F" firmware with Odin.
Schematically, this process looks like:
1. Go to G900A section and find COMBINATION ROM there.
2. Find the latest G900A stock ROM and make a firmware Odin-flashable tar from it (bootloader, kernel, modem, recovery).
3. Find a G900F ROM you want to be on, prepare it for flashing if needed.
4. Flash Combination ROM, gain root, install Safestrap recovery.
5. Flash G900F ROM from Safestrap recovery.
6. Flash G900A firmware package with Odin.
7. Enjoy.
