Forum friends good night. I tried installing nougat 7.0 on my g4 plus bike and it stopped picking up the operator signal and disappeared the digital sensor settings as shown in the photos. You have tried several rom stock and the same does not work the chip and digital sensor. Thanks to the friends who help because my phone turned a paper weight.
The baseband version of it is now m8952_70030.25.03.62R DFLT_FSG

What is your exact model? XT1643 or XT1644. What link did you use to download your "stock" Nougat rom? You can flash the fingerprint sensor zip to fix this easily.

Friend my model and the XT1640 BRAZIL. Already installed several stock rom but baseband does not change to the correct one and athene_brazil_dsds_cust is so DFLT_FSG
You would have the digital sensor zip and how to install it.

Unzip it and fastboot it (search in Moto G4 Plus forum for directions how to fastboot stock firmware). Once you installed stock Marshmallow again, FingerPrint will work again. Basically your digital sensor zip from Marshmallow, and new Nougat firmware are not matching up

Hello friends, I have a problem with my Moto G4 Plus, had the bootloader unlocked.
When installing the latest Nougat firmware with the June patch, relock the bootloader.
Now I unlocked the bootloader again, but now I do not recognize the fingerprint sensor and when reinstalling the firmware I recognize the phone as a normal Moto G4 version that has no fingerprint sensor, some solution.
I'm sorry for bad English.

I explain you based on my experience: You will never receive any more OTA as you don't have in sync the OEM partition. The OTAs check the "build.prop" in SYSTEM and the "oem.prop" in OEM. A lot of firmwares here for flashing your device lacks the OEM partition.
So, try to reflash a full firmware.
I hope it helps you!

I don't know why it's for Indian version. However, search for the "release number" in this thread of "TWRP" (not full) ROMs:

I flashed the Brazil ROM (.15 version) on my G5 Plus and got the OTA update to the .67 version. After installing the update, the device went into a hard bricked state. No bootloader. Only the LED blinks when the device is connected. Tried reviving the bootloader using blankflash but it fails each time I try.

Yeah, attempting to downgrade from the retail US May 2017 patch (NPNS25.137-35-5) to the Indian/Brazil .15 firmware and then attempting to take OTA updates has caused hard bricks previously.
Which blankflashes have you tried? Does the albus (Moto Z2 Play) blankflash work? https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73062532&postcount=15 I do not know if any of the Moto Z Play blankflashes may work (given the similar hardware) or may not depending on how new they are.

Oh hey it got fixed. Flashed the debloated and deodexed ROM for the g5 plus. This is the ROM that's advised to flash after a hard brick, for this phone. And yeah I used the Albus blankflash. It worked successfully!

Good to hear you got your device working. I imagine you could flash the TWRP flashables if you wanted a more updated system (since these flashables don't affect the GPT/bootloader, where the majority of the hard bricks seem to arise): https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/development/rom-twrp-flashable-stock-builds-t3675616

Airtight I shall!
Hi huys,
I can install room stock Android 7 RETLA in Moto X Force XT1580 RETEU (My device with ROOT and TWRP (Android 7 NPK25.200-12) ?
There is a risk of brick?
Sorry for my English
Thank you in Advance. :good:
Marcos
Do not do it. You will have issues with the modem and wifi, and may have to waste time trying to find the right modems to flash, or have to reflash RETEU via ADB.
Just install the L!TE 7.0 ROM below. Very simple TWRP install process. It is extremely light, fast, and will enable your second SIM slot for 2G. You will have to install Google apps from the Play Store, such as Maps, Drive, Sheets, etc.

Flash the Modem from your stock rom.
Recently restoring a xt1687 Moto g5 plus 64gb version back to stock. Attempted to relock the bootloader but never flashes correctly and forced me to reflash the stock firmware.
I just need confirmation of flashing the right firmware.
Build number NPNS25.137-93-18
Baseband M8953_37.46.07.47.01R POTTER_NA_CUST

Where are you from? Is your software channel RETUS? If yes 137-93-18 is the latest available firmware for you and if you're on that version your need the same fastboot firmware to lock the phone.
I haven't seen the 93-18 firmware anywhere around so what build do you use to relock?
Have you checked the thread about unlocking/relocking and followed all steps?
And btw, why do you want to relock the bl?
Sent from my Moto G5 Plus using XDA Labs
I need the stock Oreo firmware for Moto G5 Plus Indian variant (XT1686) to relock the bootloader.
I know that the Nougat stock firmwares were different for different variants of potter.
But I read from a post that this is not the case for stock Oreo firmware and it's same for all variants. Is it a fact?
If yes then I have no problem as there are links available for fastboot version of stock Oreo firmware.
But if no then please tell me where to download the specific one for XT1686.
Reply at your earliest convenience.
Model is not needed, original software channel (Country specific) is required.
So if you can give that info, someone can point you in the right direction.

I found it myself.
The link is : https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1zE8nSFXhMaBbj9oAmEnypBh7_nRyHg6x&export=download
This firmware can be used for any channel as starting from Oreo Moto doesn't create different firmwares for different channels.
