Hi,
I'm having issues booting the Note 4.
The first time the problem appeared is when I flashed the stock rom from 5.1.1 to 6.0.1
I started then having problem with the battery, I switched to un non official one. It made the problem worse.
Now The phone won't start anymore. It's either blocked on the logo or the logo + the blue recovery booting...
I flashed it back to 5.1.1 with no results. I just want to do a wipe/factory reset but can't enter recovery mode.
I flashed a TWRP recovery but then It says : "recovery booting, recovery is not seandroid enforcing, set warranty bit..." so I read that I have to boot to a stock rom...on the internet it says that if you are having issues to enter recovery you should flash twrp recovery...So I'm kinda stuck here.
Can someone help me unlock my phone please? I just want to enter recovery to try the wipe/factory reset
Thank you very much
I've just tried a 4 files flash (BL, AP, CSC, CP) I checked Re-partition and a Nand Erase All...still same problem...
Is my phone dead?

Use the device specific recovery firmware from this thread.
It consists of pit, ap, bl, cp and csc.
Also the instructions to flash a recovery firmware are mentioned , follow them.

Its the debrick.img for n910f.
You will have to download it from mega server.

Hi,
I was not able to try this till now.
Something is not clear in the procedure :
-Open win32diskimager, load the debrick.img(3.74gb for n910f and 16mb for n910g).
-Flash it on a blank sd card, the card should be completely formatted and should be in fat32 format.
[/B ]-Once done, put that sd card in your bricked device.
-Connect it to your pc.
-Hold the power button for at least 10 sec or try the download mode key trio.
-It should vibrate.
-If it doesnt, hold it in front of an air conditioner,
let it cool( this has been tested).
-If it still doesnt vibrates, remove the battery, hold the power button for 10sec and then insert the battery.
-Now again try to press power button.
>So, once it vibrates, leave it for around 5min.
-Then press the volume down key+power+home.
-It should boot in to download mode.
-Now you can flash stock rom or recovery firmware.
This procedure doesn't explain what to do with that Debrick file that is in the sd card. I was able to connect to the pc, and enter the download mode, it has never been an issue.
So please once the sd card (with debrick.img in it) is in the phone and the phone in download mode what to do with that debrick.img? Am I missing something?
Thanks a lot

what if you try the stock from here https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=26335 and flash one of the BLs w/ that
Note 4 won't charge or boot - Fixed
Hello,
My note four recently started running sluggishly and the battery would only charge to 77%. I rebooted it and it was now stone dead, would not charge, boot , nada. This is the fix I found that worked for me:
Take out battery, sim card, and mem card. Install back cover. Place phone in ziplock sandwich bag and seal. Place bag into freezer for 20 minutes. Remove bag/phone from freezer, reassemble battery, sim and mem cards. Press the start key and phone should boot(mine did). If not, plug into Samsung fast charger and try booting again.

Hello all.
Thanks for your help.
I fixed the problem with this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1498327
With this:
• When your phone does NOT turn on,
• Combo buttons are NOT working and Power Button does nothing. Follow this steps
1. Remove everything from your phone (SD card, SIM and Battery).
2. Plug your phone into your computer WITHOUT Battery.
3. Press and HOLD Volume up and Volume down Keys continuously.
4. As you are HOLDING these buttons, re-attach your battery.
That worked flawlessly and instantly. The phone turned ON.
Thanks to all of you.
I think that the thread can be closed.
i hope you have pressed a big thanx to the original poster of this helpfull guide!!!
I was on 4.4.2, rooted, with safestrap. In a moment of stupidity I attempted to do a factory data reset from the main phone GUI. The phone powers on, says booting recovery in blue above the custom samsung logo, then powers off, and repeats this process enlessly. I have attempted to get into download mode, but to no avail thus far. What are my options, will a usb job (dongle) help, is there an sd card unbrick.img? What can I do?
I had the same issue a bit back. Pull out your battery and put it back in. Hold volume down and the home hard key while powering on device and continue to hold. Then proceed for download mode. Flash the .pit to restore your partitions should be able to get safe strap back on next boot and flash yourself a system to boot. Unless you never actually erased it (my case). I'll keep an eye on this thread for your progress.

I had a similar problem... tried to reboot into recovery & has a continual reboot to recovery.
- pulled the battery
- booted to Download Mode
- used ODIN to FLASH .pit - then rebooted
then my problem was completely fixed
Thanks
That post has the new recovery in it which resolves the issue you had. It won't happen again if you flash it. Not full NC4 but baseband and recovery and you will stay NC 2 otherwise. Highly recommended.
I'm not sure what type of "bricked" this would be but, I tried to flash my Canadian Fido S4 I337m with a MF3 modem. I did this through Odin Mobile Pro. At first it was all good, it started to restart with a blue android figure. It started to take a really long time and nothing was happening so I decided to turn the phone off. Now the phone won't turn back on and it won't connect to the PC. I have my backup saved on my sd card but I can't get the phone to load at all.
It's currently stuck the battery charging power up screen. I can't post a picture since I haven't posted 10 times apparently... So it's the grey battery icon, the circle in the middle isn't moving whatsoever.
Did a battery pull, tried starting it in safe mode, and tried to restart it in the download mode. All of which have failed.
Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks

The blue android figure is back. Does anyone have any information on how long this little android guy is supposed to be around for?

Download Odin 3.07 for the PC.... you flashed the wrong mode... I believe you flashed a US modem not a Canadian on... suggest NC1 can be found in the forum...
With the phone unplugged, press volume down +home+power if you get a warning, release buttons and press voulme up to go to download mode...
Start Odin.... important... take off auto reboot....
there are instructions on how to properly flash the modem... likely in the same thread you found the file.....
Flash only the modem.bin file inside the folder... do not flash the nonhalos file....
Most instructions sau flash once... reboot to download mode.. flash again....
Basically let me know if you can get to download mode... I tried to google blue android on screen but didn't find anything yet... first I have heard of blue... I have seen green dead ones though....

No, I can't seem to get into download mode. It just keeps heading on to the the blue android. I purchased a dongle jig to get it to download mode on ebay hoping that would work.
Method 1 Odin Mobile
Extract TAR and place modem.bin on Internal or External SD Card
Open mobile Odin (free version works but pro is awesome)
Select modem 2 and find extracted bin file
Press flash firmware button
System will boot to download
Hold power button for 10 seconds if download mode in green comes up.( should be blue)
Odin will install modem files
Done
This is what I was following. It said if it comes up as a blue android it's good.

If you put the modem file on an external sd card.... maybe you could pull the card, put it in a usb reader and put the proper modem.bin file on the card and put it back in the phone and power it up.... see what happens. I am guessing it couldn't finish the process because you have the wrong modem file...... Okay so now I realize you are stuck on the mobile odin logo... (blue guy) search google for how to get out of that or go to the mobile odin thread and ask chainfire... it is his app....
I've got the problem fixed. I re-flashed my whole firmware and managed to get the phone into download mode using a USB Jig. This is for reference if anyone encounters the same problem in the near future.
Thanks for the help and advice though.
Hi all,
I have a weird problem with my Galaxy S4 (i9505) as follows:
-The screen was broken, then replaced the screen and worked for fine so I upgraded the phone to the offered 5.0.1 OS.
-It worked fine for two days, and then suddenly turned off, and kept stuck on Samsung Logo.
-It only could go to Download mode, but never to Recovery mode.
-If connected to the wall charger, it keeps vibrating and displaying the battery symbol alternatively for ever.
-I tried every all the tricks I could find on the forums such as
----Using a new battery
----Writing the official firmware 4.4.2, 5.0.1, recovery firmwares (4 files AP, BL, CS, CCS), all completed successfully.
----Tried PIT files (disparately reset NAND).
-It kept showing "Memory Booting ..." message either when starting normally or with Recovery mode.
-Installed TWRP (latest) and then it showed "RECOVERY BOOTING ...", "RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID ENFORCING", " Set Warranty Bit : recovery".
-Lastly installed official firmware 4.4.2 and again showing "MEMORY BOOTING ...".
Your help is tremendously appreciated.
Also, I've noticed that I can go to the download mode only by pressing (Power + Vol Down) buttons, without the need to press the Home button, does that mean that the Home button is already pressed all the time (could be a faulty screen?).
I have an s4 sgh-i337m that will also go into download modem by only pressing volume down and power. The phone does function properly and I can get into recovery without any issues.

Thanks audit13, now the possible home button issue has been eleminated.
Any other suggestions?
Have tried flashing the stock rom with Odin 3.07 as a single tar file in the pda slot and performing a factory reset before letting the phone both for the first time?
When booting to recovery, are you letting go of the power button after the phone starts to boot?
Yep, I did all possible firmwares 5.0.1, and 4.4.2 either in one file or in 4 files, also I've tried every possible combination but didn't let me into Recovery mode.
Sounds like there may be something wrong with the phone's internal memory.
Only thing I can suggest is getting the phone flashed via jtag.

You'll have to take it to a cell repair shop to flash it.
Hi. Browsed for ages and always come here for answers.
Here's my problem.
2x S8s. SM-950f.
Updated to most recent software through software update. Both phones were glitchy and crashing and just generally irritating after.
Factory data reset etc. This did not resolve the problems, also led to one of them having issues with FRP (annoying)
Used Odin to try and flash the latest firmware (from sammobile, UK BTU) after flashing both, they reset and powered on. Got stuck at the S8 screen.
Restarted then both were at the "an error occurred during update" screen.
Managed to get back to download screen. Re checked the software and model numbers, even that the bootloader was the correct version etc. All was fine.
Connected to Odin, shows that it is connected, but nothing happens when clicking start.
Now after attempting that, both phones will not power on.
(One will when placed on the wireless charger, but just sticks at S8 screen) and download mode or reset screen can not be accessed. So, not exactly happy. And totally out of ideas
Any suggestions, beyond taking it to a shop to see if anyone can help.
yes .....dont tuch the phones for 24 hours let the battery die ...it will...connect to pc and then try download mode....u may need to press combination for like 1 minute to get to download mode....flash twrp reboot directly into it when odin says successfully .....wipe system data ....dont turn on phone download any custom rom flash and enjoy.....it will trip knox but worth than getting a new board....
Okay, will give that a try.
TWRP?
TWRP install

Just said, wait until your device powers off due battery insufficience. Plug cable and hold at the same moment vol(down)+bixby+power. Then press vol(up) at the warning screen to proceed to odin mode. Let it charging a while like 1 h. Then unplug it and plug it to your pc. In Odin select ap the previous downloaded file. Take your mobile in your hand. With one hand, prepare your fingers to vol(up)+bixby and with the other hand start the flashibg process. Be careful, and take your hand directly from the mouse if you clicked start in odin, and position your one finger to power button, but dont click. If odin start pass, press immidiately the buttons (vol(up)+bixby+power) and let it to start into recovery. If you arrived to recovery, reply to us if not search for help!!!
Good luck

Not sure what stage your at and maybe some more useless ideas
1. Trying to flash twrp is kinda of useless if you can't get into your system need oem unlock for that.
2. Have you tried taking out Sim card and SD card and reboot.
3. If you can at least boot try smart switch as it has a emergency recovery option.
4. Trying rebooting in safe mode.
All been attempted
