ICS alpha for x10 mini released

its still in pre-alpha stage,but we all know it will be fixed.
Stelios97 made it possible.this is awesome,i think it is time for our x8,dont you think?
EDIT:im first one that showed it to x8 section,at least you can do is to hit the thanks button.

when it is time for the ROM to come to our X8,it will come...

i've flashed it to my x8 and it boots! it is laggy but it works! touchscreen works! i hope that somebody will improve it!

screen is readable?

yes, but lcddensity is set to 120 so it is small but it is readable. i wiil post some pictures in few minutes

i haven't tried it but it should be. with 160 the letters will be larger than with 120 and with 120 i can read it try it, i'm running it on naa kernel
and just now i found that you can set font size in display settings

i'm not a dev, ihaven't ported this, i just flashed a rom from stelios97 (he made it for x10 mini but it works on x8)

just try it at first it will be laggy but then it becomes smooth (just scrolling, not the whole rom. it needs some dev to do it

in scrolling it is. just the video is in bad quality. but it doesn't matter! we have partially working ICS

we haven't boot and in other porting, boot.img is 8 MB and in GT540 boot partition is 5MB

so... i took META-INF, SYSTEM AND BOOT.IMG... i erased all apps that deal the system partiton, i changed the build.prop with GT540 build.prop... then i rezip the rom and i tryed and prayed....

so i tryed to port GNEXUS on GT540 unsuccessfully, now i'm trying to port the ONE X port, because its boot.img is 4MB, so good for GT540

now i'm trying to change boot.img JB with PARANOIDANDROID boot.img ics...

Ok meta-inf is "rom" specific it tells the recovery what to do, eg. write the system folder to here and here, set perms etc etc. It changes from rom to rom phone to phone. So when you change something in the rom zip like build.prop or apps the updater-script is not changed but the files inside the zip are(something like the md5 when you make a nandroid backup). And about the direct porting of HOX and Gnex roms. 2 major issues They have 1280x720 resolution screens so the imgs are wrong. Another thing, cpu.
Gt540 ArmV6
HOX, Gnex ArmV7
To get the Meta-inf, status 0 fixed you guys should try out dsixda's kitchen. It will unzip and rom zip and from there you can do lots of things to it (there is even a porting option) after adding and removing files it can help you recompile the zip and create a meta-inf folder with the right updater-script.

Use kingoroot to root your phone.
Here's the link: https://www.kingoapp.com/

To flash the stock rom you need to download it from the LG site, according to your specific phone. Than flash it with LG flash tool.
After you upgrade your OS to marshmallow, you can root it like it is on this link:

I have done it! Haha, I'm pretty much overjoyed right now
So to those people who will face this problem in the future, here's some tips.
1. Download your firmware from here: http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=237
(ctrl+f) then type the model number
2. Follow the instructions from this site: http://www.file-extensions.org/article/install-kdz-firmware-to-lg-smartphone
3. A window will appear asking for your country and language. Choose different country then your language. (If you are not Korean)
4. If an error about "can't connect to server" occurs, ignore it. You've already downloaded the file, so there's nothing to worry about.
5. Wait until it finishes rebooting and optimizes the apps.
6. ???
7. Profit

8. Enjoy and be careful next time

folow the instruction, enable usb debugging and oem unlock, after you flashed the file, restart it one more time. then check the root with root checker mate.

Has anyone tried better battery stats on m30s?

Hi everyone
I tried to use better battery stats app installed it granted it permissions through adb and the app cant access the stats and double checked the permissions given and they were granted
I'm not rooted
Plz try it and report back if anyone cares to help

Update: installed the latest version 2.5-341 and it is working fine

Just install the one on playstore. Working just fine.

I installed the one on play store but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I can't pin the cause of this
